  • Mark Huizinga is a Dutch judoka who competed in -86 and -90 kg weight categories. Huizinga is one of the best Dutch judokas of all time, he was gold medalist in Sydney Olympic games. He also won 2 Olympic bronze medals and 1 World bronze medal and 5 European Championships. Huizinga was incredibly versatile judoka, having wide range of Tachi-Waza techniques and slick Ne-Waza game, he popularized pinning technique that is now commonly called Huizinga roll.

    Who was the first player to use Huizinga Roll?
    Eriko Nakajima(World University Champion,48kg) used it occasionally in the 90s
    I don't know any player in Japan who used this technique before her
    French Jacques Seguin was demonstrating this technique
    Probably in the 80s or early 90s

      Might be a match in the German Bundesliga, I know clubs use gi's with different colours there.

      @@yoavhofstein3658 International judoka often compete in the German Bundesliga. German clubs "borrow" judoka specifically for the competition.

      @Yoav Hofstein Thanks, a lot of of foreign judokas compete for German Judo clubs in Bundesliga. You don't have to be German to represent German club.

      If I remember correctly this is the colors of Abensberg. They used to be the top team of the german bundesliga for quite some time having a bunch of international top stars in their lines.
