ICH Element Shortknee

In this short video, we explore the vibrant tradition of Shortknee in Grenada, which has been recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage element by UNESCO. Through interviews and footage of the energetic performances, we learn about the intricate costumes and masks worn by the Shortknee performers, as well as the lively music and dance that accompanies the festivities. Through this video, we discover the richness and diversity of Grenadian culture, and how Shortknee continues to be an important part of the country's cultural heritage.
