Little bit underperformed in today's session, but when it went off with birthing ritual and chthonian nightmare, it was really strong. You might want to consider adding demonic tutor because getting birthing ritual is so crucial to the deck's gameplan. And adding some main deck hate vs. omnitell such as archon or boromir could go a long way as well.
Heres a deck, i like alot. Its my lifegain heliod combo deck. I have just remade it and am still testing some cards. Its got infinite lifegain/creature/drain combo and has a good straight up little creature beat down plan if you cant combo off. 4 guide of souls, 4 soul warden, 4 deathrite shaman, 4 orcish bowmasters, 4 heliod sun crowned, 4 scurryoak, 4 assemble the team, 4 collected company, 3 dina soul steeper, 2 prosperous inkeeper, 1 demonic tutor, 1 serra paragon. 21 lands 8 fetch azbahn triome and 3 color mana. I added the tutors for consistency and its made the deck very grindy. As i can get coco off every tutor for value or get a combo piece and win that turn or next. The deck lacks good interaction but if they are not on a faster combo i can grind the game out and win.
Accursed Marauder has been good for me in this style of deck. Interested in experimenting with Ranger Captain of Eos for another soft “lock” with Nightmare. A lot of room to explore in this space

I feel like because this deck relies so heavily on Birthing Ritual/Chthonian Nightmare it could probably benefit from playing a copy of Demonic Tutor.
Do you think Beseech the Mirror for this line of reasoning is too expensive or too awkward with mana?
Maybe Commune with the Gods? Digs for creatures and enchantments
Now that I think about it, Sterling Grove might be better than Beseech the Mirror after the one of Demonic Tutor.
