I've used Proraso for a long time and I like it thought it does have some shortcomings. Almost no residual slickness and it leaves a film on the razor. I've found a few blades I like and until I run out or they stop making them, I probably won't be shopping around unless I hear they're magic-lol. I tried a bunch years ago and most were mid or below. I would have bailed after the first stroke with that one! The unsung hero and true star of the show is the blade. Whatever razor you use, is only going to be as good as the blade you put in it. I really like the Gamechanger, it's an awesome razor. I hope you're having a great weekend, take care.
Have the proraso sensitive line. Like the balm. Has a slight rose smell but doesn’t last. Have the soup container its nice. Its my first soap. I’m pretty green to wet shaving. Like the proroso boar brush.
Interesting you mentioned Amazon. I just ordered a 100 of Personna Comfort Coated. The picture on Amazon showed a box of 100 with no American flag on it. When they came in the American flag was on the box plus a 20 blade bonus. $15.99 for 120 blades, made in USA with no glue spots. Win, win, win🇺🇸
I LOVE Proraso Green! Sure it's not as good as Artisan products but it's also a FRACTION of the cost. In many cases half the price. Dollar for Dollar I think Proraso is one of the best products on the market. Dollar for Dollar. Keyword.
Rough shave, for sure. I would have ditched the blade if it was that bad. I've done that with blades I found horrible. Time to gift the Proraso to someone who really likes it. Ive been trying to avoid buying shave gear from Amazon. Im all about suporting the small businesses, Razor Emporium, Stirling, PAA, Henson, and Yates Precision.
I have a tuck of the Gillette 7 O'clock Super Stainless (Green) that has a U.K. address on one side and a South Africa address on the other and also it says made in St. Petersburg, Russia. Whatever, I don't like them at all, as I find them dull and tuggy also. They aren't as bad as the Strangelet but they still suck. It's hard to beat the Silver Blue. I have all seven types of Proraso cream and I'm about to finish my third tube, the "Wood & Spice". Then it's on to the big 150 ml red, green, white and blue soaps. I like them but I always use the PAA Cube with all my soaps.
I’ve been going through my drawer of shave goodies and seeing how they stack up. Do you need any Stirling sets? I’m going to reduce my stuff again. Thanks for watching Randy!
I agree with you about residual slickness for Proraso. It's a decent cream but falls short of other creams like TOBS and Trumper. For me, Gillette Pure shaving cream is better. If you enjoy menthol, add some crystals to Droid Black. That will kick your favorite up a notch.
I do have the chill mill but have never used it. I tend to forget I have it. I need to try adding some menthol to droid black. Thanks for watching Bart!
@@lawrence1md I missed seeing this earlier. I usually do 2 or 3. But it's really trial and error until you get the amount you like. Start with a little and work up. It doesn't take much.
Hey Mattew! I really like Proraso green. I think the 7 o'clocks yellow blades feel similar to the Silver Blues. Do you agree? Thanks for sharing, buddy!
Hi Matthew. Nice. I was wondering. How long should a tube of cream last 🙂 I haven't used this cream for like years but lately I've enjoyed mentholated products. Sorry to hear the blade did not work you. Have a good one
You powered through it haha. In my opinion, the Proraso green soap/cream is fine but I agree with you, the balm of the same line does not seem to match the soap scent and I am no fan of it. I've never tried this blade but it sounds like a no go. I tend to stick to Perma-sharp, Nacets, Platinums or Silver Blues.
Russian or Indian Matthew. The Russian 7 o'clock greens are fine but I can't along with the Indian versions. After a 3 pass shave with the Indians greens, I get a lot of irritation.

You are 💯 right the blade is what’s doing all the work. Some would argue to differ. Thanks for watching Ian!

The proraso boar brush is pretty nice once it’s broken in. Thanks for watching Shawn!
The Amazon thing is why I recommend Razor Blade Club
@@Tobins_throwbacks in the video I tried spicing up the title to see how UA-cam liked it. I have purchased from razor blade club.

That is a classic shave.

Hard to go to far wrong with proraso and the lather did look good today....cheers🍻

I’m probably going to get a pif box ready for someone. It wouldn’t make sense to try to sell it. Thanks for watching Chris!
I agree that how blades shave varies a lot between them. Have not tried those India greens, the Russian greens are good.👍🤠🤟
When I first started I would buy all kinds of blades just to try them all. Now I have a bunch sitting around. Hehehehehehe thanks for watching uncleL!
I don't use creams much, but when I do it is that one or the C.O. Bigelow which is the same thing that Proraso made for them.
I’ve been going through my drawer of shave goodies and seeing how they stack up. Do you need any Stirling sets? I’m going to reduce my stuff again. Thanks for watching Randy!
@lawrence1md I've got more Stirling than I'll ever use. Got any MacDuff's to get rid of?
