Turtleproof Agree. The blinding blinking lights, the garish decorations, the same 10 songs played ad naseum, the creepy store Santas, the noxious odor of peppermint and pine and other "holiday scents", the plastic cheer of a society in a hurry drunk of the anticipation of one single day. Then it comes and it's all over. Like everybody coming down from a high in a cloud of undefined disappointment. Trees tossed to the curb once admired now stripped of their ornaments and garland lying naked in the streets.

I charge that thou this place forsake

    Yells of spirits underground

its just ambient stuff. different strokes for different folks and all that. I imagine if you like metal and stuff, this probably doesn't do it for you, and that's totally fine. the point is trying to create a certain feel, in this case trying to create an "old gods"-ey feel that sounds like a romp through the Black Forest.

Along the shore the cloud waves break,
The twin suns sink beneath the lake,
    The shadows lengthen
    In Carcosa.
Strange is the night where black stars rise,
And strange moons circle through the skies,
    But stranger still is
    Lost Carcosa.
Songs that the Hyades shall sing,
Where flap the tatters of the King,
    Must die unheard in
    Dim Carcosa.
    Song of my soul, my voice is dead;
Die thou, unsung, as tears unshed
    Shall dry and die in
    Lost Carcosa.

As an electronic musician myself, this dark ambient electronic music album is intriguing to say the least. The black goat is referenced in some ancient pagan practices. Most people don't understand, these ancient practices helped drive evil spirits away, not attract them.

Pazuzu (from The Exorcist) actually drove away evil spirits from Mesopotamian homes and protected the children because he was the biggest, baddest HDIC. Offerings were given to him to keep his more predatory inclinations assuaged but he protected homes and families before turning up as the villain in Exorcist.

If you close your eyes to this whole track we all have different imaginations when listen to this. It's like a scary story Dream to put your own fun spooky images into your mind of telling a story.
There's watching horror movies, reading horror books and then there's listening to scary Dark Ambient music with your eyes closed to give you your own imagination to it. I love it!!!!!!
No shock value along with sadistic lyrics. No crime to have your own imagination with just scary sounds and music which tells your own good haunting images.
