Been watching your videos for years now I just realised - I hardly fish, when I do it's the same time of year, same pier, same fish probably. But Watching your videos is so calming and your skills have gotten really great over the years. I love watching you work - thank you for being such creative inspiration! I may not fish, but I do draw and finding inspiration is hard sometimes. - from across the pond, Scotland.
Ok, you’ve started it now. We need see more of Chelsea tying, that was so cool. And the paddle fish’s action was incredible, the ultimate swimmer…. Very Nice…
I tie fly's for my husband and our fly fishing adventures. It's really fun to see Chelsea out tying again! As always your baits are the coolest things to see get made.
Even the simple paint schemes are amazing from you! You have inspired me to paint lures and it's a lot of fun... And I do the same I keep seeing things and touch up on small details A LOT!!!
Love that you're getting more creative in your content. Keep it up. More Chelsea for sure. And keep your sense of humor. Never get rid of that. Thats why people come. Well...that and Chip. We're all just here for Chip really.
Enjoying the video! Keep up thengood work! A really interesting lure would be the Beholder from Dungeons and Dragons. All the gnarly details and extra eyes could make for an interesting casting experience.
I tried ice fishing when I used to live in NH. I can honestly say that ice fishing disproves the saying that a bad day fishing is better than a good day working.
Epic fun facts and love the lisp sounds so funny. And I'm absolutely chuffed with your progression in terms of your YT journey Nate . loving all the random thought processes too! Almost fishing season buddy can't wait for OOOONNNEEE dayz as always an amazing bait
Bro. Congrats on getting your teeth straight and the implants. Thats such a huge win. I struggled for years with bad teeth and getting things fixed Is a life changing event. The confidence and self image boost is invaluable
God damn… this video deserves a second comment! It has everything! Fun Fact, carving, elaborate paint scheme, action mega city, and Chelsey making a treble hook with feathers! 🤩👍
Hello... Really enjoyed the bonus bait tying material. Never saw that done before. Also, that was one of the best jig baits I've seen you make. When you were testing it open water, I could have sworn it was a live bait fish. Bests~
We still have them in Pennsylvania. On occasion they will be caught here in the Allegheny river mostly in the deeper water roughly 20 feet or deeper near the hydro plants where the water is warmer. The local bait shop has a picture of the last one we know was caught and it was about 3 1/2 feet long.
man i was gonna comment on the last vide asking for a paddlefish but got beat to it!!! i hope you do more of america’s iconic freshwater fish it’s really cool to see them as functional art pieces
I'd love to see you do a collab with someone in the tabletop mini space, like Goobertown Hobbies. You send him a bait and he sends you a mini and you try to paint something outside your comfort zone.
ACTION CITY!!!! I really like the glide action on that thing!! More so than the other two you tested. I mean they all look amazing, but if I had to pick one, it's the Paddle Fish for sure!!
I missed the show posting time on this video by 21 hours 😢 but I was overwhelmed from late night fishing for suager and suageye ...LoL really cool looking paddle fish !!
Awesome Paddlefish ! I grew up on the upper Mississippi by La Crosse, WI. I have seen many of these unusual fish. Your skills are to be commended, Great work of art !!!
I worked for a company called Big Fish Farms. Located in Ohio close to the Ohio river. We sustainability raised, ranched and harvested paddlefish for their fine caviar. As well as their delicious meat. We were allowed to do this because the company has several green project contracts. It is illegal to snag paddlefish in many states and many states have a season for it. They are protected in a lot of places. Beautiful beautiful fish and I hope many feel the same. They deserve the utmost respect. They are ancient and have occupied our rivers much longer than most. Such amazing animals. Fyi they do not truly know what the rostrum is used for, or if it has feeling in it.
Manicurist drill! Better than a Dremel! Minor vibration, doesn’t yank when turned on high and you can control it with a dial or foot pedal. Better control and you can use super small bits. Hope this helps
Just started back on graveyard. So now I get to watch these before I go to bed instead of when I wake up in the morning. Thanks, Nate another great bait.
If and when you come to Florida remember to bring black and blue, watermelon candy and junebug white works too Watermelon candy zoom frog is nice make 1 of your own Also, do not be afraid to get into the lily pads or thick grass. That's where you're going to find the biggest ones Practice your pitching and flipping black and blue crawl or worm
video idea paint a bait with drunk goggles on
🤣🤣 rough man
Just watch any of his videos at half speed.
He should do that!
Nate makes butt fin lures when he’s got beer goggles on....(severed finger video)
I’m really glad you made this bait! I recommended this idea in a previous video and saw you liked it. Really good job on the bait!
It's really neat to see a school of paddlers comin up the Missouri forming a giant "V" that you can see from a half a mile away.
Having a rough day. Perfect timing for some relaxing bait making. Keep it up man ❤️❤️

Your color choices just amaze me.
I tried ice fishing when I used to live in NH. I can honestly say that ice fishing disproves the saying that a bad day fishing is better than a good day working.
You work are pieces of art and should be on display for all to see and don’t forget to take Chip with you I guess you can tell I am a big dog lover.

Awwww chip! Love me some chip cameos. You should make a chipp bait! Make a German Shepard lure official!!!!
62 days of asking Marling baits to make an ultralight trout spinner! Let’s hope before 100! 🎣🎣
That bathtub test was the most wholesome thing with your kiddo in the background.
Hello... Really enjoyed the bonus bait tying material. Never saw that done before. Also, that was one of the best jig baits I've seen you make. When you were testing it open water, I could have sworn it was a live bait fish. Bests~
The feather tying was fun to watch!
Excellent work Mrs. Marling! Oh, and nice work on the spoonbill too 😉
Amazing detailed lure! Love watching you create your custom lures and test them.

The local bait shop has a picture of the last one we know was caught and it was about 3 1/2 feet long.
Yes finally got to see Chelsea tie a fly!! 💯🔥
loved the bathtub footage! Marling Bathes
Holy crap! We saw you using a carving chisel! For a few seconds you used a carving tool!
What a team. Amazing job. Thanks for sharing 👍.
And then… when you almost given up hope… He returns! And with a Fun Fact episode none the less! 😃
Loved seeing the fly tying at the end, should include it in more videos

A true work of art. Thanks for all the video's.
Loved the ending
Amazing as always! Just wow🙌
YESS the feather tying we've been waiting for
Thanks for the content, I think your multiple “scene” show is a great way of showing more and probably doing a lot more but great content and flow
I love it that Avett Brothers is playing in the background of many of your videos.
I have 2 of these in my pond and I rarely see them, but when they jump out of the water it's so cool to see.
I'd love to see you do a collab with someone in the tabletop mini space, like Goobertown Hobbies. You send him a bait and he sends you a mini and you try to paint something outside your comfort zone.
That might of been the most interesting fun facts to date. Great video
ACTION CITY!!!! I really like the glide action on that thing!! More so than the other two you tested. I mean they all look amazing, but if I had to pick one, it's the Paddle Fish for sure!!
Love your content💛💛 really brighten my day!! Thank you so much

Thanks for another great video
@marlingbait you are a great artist.
A paddlefish is a treat! I can't wait til you make a floppy pink human swim bait in 2023! Let's make it O-FISH-AL!
I like when you make a small bait, 😁
I am envious of that trapper keeper of fly tying materials
Loving the details...again.
Awesome Paddlefish ! I grew up on the upper Mississippi by La Crosse, WI. I have seen many of these unusual fish. Your skills are to be commended, Great work of art !!!
I'm digging the fancy editing recently. Keep trying new things man! It's not going unnoticed and its much appreciated!

I wonder if he'll like this comment. I hope he does, it's the only positive feedback in my life
The swimming was amazing
Absolutely awesome, and that action is something else! Trend setter!
Damn that PaddleFish action is dope. I have a woodshop but seldom use it, really should try making some baits. You're baits are pieces of art!
Those tiny eyes just brought it all together, nice work master Kenobi
Manicurist drill! Better than a Dremel! Minor vibration, doesn’t yank when turned on high and you can control it with a dial or foot pedal. Better control and you can use super small bits. Hope this helps
