Such a good series. In a world gone mad, these stories of current and impending human scientific progress, both in space and on Earth, are a breath of fresh air.
Isn't this just a SYMPTOM of a world gone mad? I mean, clearly, the our species doesn't care about itself, so this is clearly a waste of our time. I suggest the reason you find this a breath of fresh air is the same reason we enjoy video games and drugs and anti-depressants and fast cars and vacations... to escape the madness. If the world was not mad, we'd help our homeless, end the wars, feed all the countries and there would be no thoughts of escaping to video games or another planet.
But then again, I'm with ya. Fuck the world.
@@Tormentality dont @ me on this, but the general reason on why it's happening is simple and pretty clear: egoism, human brain is developed to protect his "shell", so we should live our lives to the best just in order to keep ourselves safe & happy, but not to help someone foreign one that's not connected to the brain. I'm not trying to be edgy and stuff but that thing is gonna kill us rapidly. though, humans are just a blink moment of hummingbird's wings movement. and that's kinda fine if we see this not from our perspective
@@Tormentality so, I think people won't listen even when it would be almost too late to do that. politicians especially. I don't need to describe why, honestly
@Yuppy Guppy Conspiracy theorie is another symptom of the madness.
Varied Thrush no you’re an idiot. “Conspiracy theories”, a term coined by the CIA, is used to discredit truth seekers. Truth is paramount, and the hierarchies realize this. Scientia est potentia, the motto of the total information awareness office, knowledge is power.
You are a blue pilled fool, stay uneducated lol
I don't think I've ever seen a series on youtube with such positive comments!
Excellent videos so-far; very informative, well made and inspirational.
Thanks, we're excited about space and we're glad so much of UA-cam feels the same way!
Bloomberg keep it coming. This is where STEM pays off to create to live for humans instead of destroying ourselves and our planet. I hope I live long enough to see and experience all this. Thanks again.
indeed i would honestly expect such content from normal people like youtubers and not big news organization. But really well done !
Bloomberg is on a roll with these
Space industrialization is our fifth industrial revolution after digital revolution
The final frontier
"Space" is the entire frontier of human kind. It'd start out with low earth orbit, the moon and mars, asteroid mining, more planets of our solar system - each of those will be a revolution on their own
@@Merthalophor Got make us live much longer so we can do all these things. We'll need more STEM graduates and the Arts and Humanities graduates too. Police Sciences as well.

This series is phenomenally interesting.
I just realized that the commercial space liner in Wall-E was called the Axiom too. Coincidence... ?
Wow, this series is absolutely incredible. It's fascinating and inspiring and exciting. Thank you Bloomberg for putting this out there, we need more like this!!!

What kind of company would afford that price and what will they do with that space?
Here we are, measuring in american football fields again
When you give simple examples it's just easier to grasp for some people. Do you always hate ideas that are meant to make something more accessible for a larger crowd? I don't see the problem you're having with this.

The Revolutions:
1- Steam Engine >> Electricity
2- Assembly Line
3- Digital
4- AI + Automation
5- Space Industries
6- the wheel
@@benheinz8817
Sorry... I meant the *modern "industrial" revolutions* .
If we want to list all the revolutionary "inventions" from the beginning of human history, they would be:
fire
wood/bone/stone/pottery tools
agriculture
domestication
the wheel
copper/bronze/iron/steel smelting
ancient civilizations science
the enlightenment age
the renaissance
Then, the beginning of the modern industrial revolution, starting with the steam engine.
M K what about fire?
I would put 4 and 5 together.they sorta go hand in hand

Amazing series. I would love an episode that details future opportunities and industries that can break into space. I’m currently a real estate professional but I would to have some sort of involvement in this incredible future industry.
great when countries come together to achieve a goal
The ISS could perhaps be preserved in some sort of "Museum Orbit" along with other monuments in space (Unless that is to expensive however). Thanks.
Amazing series!
wow very inspirational
Thank you for that!
Hey Amir, no de-orbiting of ISS. Let's think ahead: boost it way up and leave as an historical artifact for future generations. Same with Hubble BTW.
Norman Mattson De orbiting is better.
These are really great!

When it comes to building in space, there's a clear line between imagining how it could look like and then actually working towards making that dream reality
I think advances in AI will be one of the keys for space exploration. Imagine being able to send pack of drones on the asteroid and having fully operation mining base few years later. Not having to send humans will be huge barrier passed, since right now fragile and demanding humans are determines our pace of exploration.
Ethuil UI Probes are already a thing.
@@hazardous458 Their programming is not advanced enough to be self sufficient without any outside input while finishing the program. That is why you need AI.
Ethuil UI And why do you need AI exactly?
@@hazardous458 huh? Am I misunderstanding something, or how exactly do you imagine self replicating colony that is supposed to build mining complex without any AI? With pure programming?
Are you working in the industry? I think you overestimate on what is achievable with flat programming without AI or neural networks.
We need to do anything that would help accelerate what we are doing up there.

Education is a strange word to use as an excuse for doing nothing for 20 years.
imagine being able to afford a second home and that second home being in space. what a getaway that would be.
So crazy that the ones living right now could very well be the first regular people to walk on another celestial body other than Earth. Truly wonderful time to be alive
A big step for private companies, a gigantic step for mankind.
Amazing
what a relief after watching this
Great video.
AWESOME!
Ok Bloomberg Quick Take Giant Leap. It's been a year since this video uploaded to UA-cam. Will there be more videos on these subjects? Any updates or new plans? I want much more on space sciences. We need more advancements for the next steps to living, working, expanding technologies uses in space?
I admire Elon and all, but to say that he saw him landing his rocket is a bit overstatement. Sure he is driving force behind space X but crucial force are big bunch of super smart and savvy folks that works there. Elon main achievement is to get them to work for him.
wow amazing
This series is alright in my books.

I'd love a home just above the orbit of earth, but just for getaways, not for permanent residents. I love greenery, hate deserts and would miss the moss underfoot.

Dude @12:39 could be Joey from Dennis the Menace grown up..
Maybe for next ep you guys can talk about space resources and how they will be utilized in the near future
I'm inspired.☺
The next step should be to make the largest pressurised... well... space in space possible. With a way to dock with it. Then to add to it life support for water, air conditioning, electric, etc utilities. Just a hard, air-tight shell with lots of room in it and basic utilities. Real-estate in orbit.
Right now the focus is on prefabricated, more or less self-contained modules with loads of little gizmos, but that's exactly what makes it expensive. You can't just go and build a factory and housing.
To this end. The two things that makes EVA more dangerous than it needs to be are the chance that you can drift off into space, and that you are not shielded from the sun and other radiation. The simplest way to mitigate this is to just build a large sack of interlocking disks. Not pressurised in the least. Just a space within which astronauts cannot drift off without a way to manually get back, and which shields them from the worst radiation. It could even be interlocking hexagonal solar panels (cheap ones. Just loads of them). with all the wiring to make use of the electricity generated.
It could be made quite large, relatively cheaply, and just be draped over a large rigid frame. And then a real pressurised space station can be built within it.
Anyone know were you can get the image used as front for the video?
Great video, loving it.
Thought, wouldn't it be funny if companies like SpaceX and Blue Origin and Axiom, if they do space stations, do like the USA and Russia did, and do a joint large and extremely advanced etc. space station
Thanks
I wish NASA would add a Stanford Torus to the ISS like in the film "Mission To Mars"!! This would test how it can be used on the spaceship to Mars.
Space and climate change are too priority. I love these videos give us more
I prefer to live on earth and I like greenery around me
One of the real challenges most inventors overlooked is to create machines or device to deal with hollow creatures which we called supernaturals...planets are thier habitat..
where there's a will , there is a way...
my name is will, have a nice day
where there's a will, there is a inheritance lol
Space stations are obsolete. Just send a Starship up whenever you need an orbiting laboratory. Send multiple Statships and tie them together and you have a space hotel. You can even ride the things back to Earth when you're bored of space.
