Hi! I love your full length vids and shorts! When it gets to Halloween time, you should make a Halloween themed boba drink! (Ik it’s a while away but meh) ily meimei!
I would love a video where you go through different categories and types of supermarket Asian foods, and say what your favorite brand/product is and where you buy them. I think that’d be a fun way to get your personal “best of the best” products in one video for people (like me, lol) who want to try them all
Growing up I liked mooncake with egg yolk but could literally only eat like 1/8th of a mooncake at a time with how sweet and dense it was. I finally made my own mooncakes from scratch last year and it's a GAME CHANGER. Homemade lotus seed paste is a lot lighter, fluffier, and more mellow and delicate in flavor. The ones you get at the grocery store are likely filled with preservatives and oil as we're used to. Would recommend trying homemade ones from a local baker (I'm sure you've got some folks up in SF area!). Also, if you're digging salted egg yolk flavor, would recommend Maxim's lava custard mooncakes. They're pricier, but they're more of a modern take on mooncakes and really fun to eat (involves microwaving them to get the molten center!).
I am an egg yoke mooncake kid 😄 I have always liked them in my mooncakes. My mom would usually give the side that had more yoke to me as she doesn't like them very much in her mooncakes. I generally like the lotus paste ones more. One year I got to try these non-traditional mooncakes that were different types of tea flavors. They were soo soo good. They had oolong, green tea, and jasmine tea. I wish I remembered what company made them. All I know is that they were made in Taiwan.
CONGRATS ON 1M SUBS AHHH i started watching your videos when you have 10k subs and I'm so happy seeing you grow sm!! i started watching your videos because we both love boba so much i love watching you rating different boba food!!!!! congrats again!!!
I didn't grow up eating moon cakes. I really enjoy them as an adult. I'm not the biggest fan of salted egg yolks. I've tried the moon cakes from the turquoise box. They weren't bad just a little artificial for the snow skin ones. My favorite moon cakes are from a small bakery in Buena Park CA called Micasa. I love their pineapple mooncakes and the pomelo ones. They also make really good shortbread cakes year round. Great video.
The first time I had a mooncake I wasn't too jazzed but I left it out on the counter and found myself going back again and again, cutting off little slivers to eat. Now I crave them. It takes me several days to eat one because they are very sweet, but I do love them🥰
I love moon cake 🥮 they are incredibly delicious with tea! I’m an egg yolk person and I believe it is supposed to represent the moon itself! I love them even more than ever since I moved away from mom and my og hometown (SGV!), and they aren’t easily accessible anywhere else 🥲 always have to buy a box when I’m back in the SGV during this time or when I’m lucky, mom will make them for me! 💕 so enjoy those Costco ones!! 😂
Happy early Mid-Autumn Festival! I personally am indifferent to mooncakes. Like I don't mind them and will eat them with my family, but I wouldn't go out to buy them for myself. Also, I've always wanted to try the snow skin mooncakes!
I am an egg yolk mooncake, and I think it tastes plain without the egg yolk. I personally think it adds more flavour with the egg yolk I never tried a snow skin mooncake and I look forward to trying one very soon. Each time I would only eat a little bit it of the mooncake and I leave it out in the open and it just gets dried but I never cared and continued eating it the next day. LOL
I just found this video and I personally love Asian foods even tho I am not Asian but I am happy that you could make this so I could look for those in costco
I love mooncakes!! I think I loved them a lot when I was younger. Now, not so much but I still enjoy eating them. And I hated the salted egg yolk in them LOL, I just give them to my parents.
Hello! I love your videos and I would really like to see some more boba videos Because those are my fav ✨ but I think your doing really good for yourself! Keep up the good work :)
OMGGG COSTCO ASIAN FOOD HAUL whyyy can’t Costco supply the same stuff in the usa and Canada 😩 ALSOO HAPPY EARLY 1MIL 🥳 let’s appreciate meimei putting out all these videos for us ❤️
Thank you for the reviews. Some stuff I was always curious when I’m at Costco but don’t know if it’s any good. I love TJ orange chicken so I have to try the Costco one now
Love all your videos. I like the Bibigo brand orange chicken. I have bought them at Costco. But now just see that crazy chicken. Have not tried it or Trader 7. Now I'll have to go and try them.
I never really enjoyed moon cakes as I was growing up but I enjoy it much more as an adult. But there’s too much calories for something that isn’t too tasty. By the way there’s this place in the SGV that makes pineapple moon cakes (my favorite). It tastes like the pineapple cake you buy at the Chinese market but much more tastier.
I'm also not a HUGE fan of mooncake! I will have 1 quarter piece around Mid-Autumn Festival time, but other than that I don't really crave it. I do enjoy the egg yolk ones better! (I also inadvertently ate one of the Durian ones from Costco this season....wasn't a huge fan of that either). Thank you for these videos!! Always very informational and relaxing to watch!
Love no egg yolk mooncakes because I prefer more of the actual filling. Now they've got mooncakes with double and triple egg yolk mooncakes and it's like whyyy
i think snowskin mooncakes are where it's at ...lmao you definitely need to thaw them! they should still be cool/chilled, but not at all frozen when you eat. also durian isn't traditional
Hi , I have a question- which Costco did you see and buy the snow skin assorted mooncake? My family loves durian so I was wanting to get something like that for them. Let me know Thanks
Love mooncakes and I'm going to buy it soon! Last year I tried them in different shops, some of them were not that good, especially because of the dry dough, so it depends on the producer, I guess :) I'm kinda scared to try it with an egg yolk, don't know what to expect, but also it's not easy to find them, however after your video i'm willing to try😊
Hi Mei...just wanted you to know that the brand of lop cheng is the best one money can buy... that's the only brand I eat and buy...I also like the duck liver flavor one too 😂... enjoy 😘🤗♥️...btw...not a fan of ginger either 🤣🤣🤣
Don’t forget to get this video to 10,000 for Costco Part 5!!! Love you have a great weekend!!! 💕💕💕

I don’t think I’ve ever had the egg yolk mooncakes, the mooncakes I’ve tried have all reminded me of large fig newtons, which I dig😁
Happy early Mid-Autumn Festival! I personally am indifferent to mooncakes. Like I don't mind them and will eat them with my family, but I wouldn't go out to buy them for myself. Also, I've always wanted to try the snow skin mooncakes!

Fruit and nut moon cakes are the best!

thanks for the fruit mochi. I saw it but wasn't sure if it's good. I have brown sugar and tea mochi and love those.

Moon cakes are good I like the fruit and tea flavored ones
Have you tried Pobble? it is a new Popping Boba drink on the market. I really loved it!!
Meimei, you are so close to ONE MILLION SUBS. Are you going to do anything special for that amazing accomplishment?😁👍
You should try freezing the boba mochi!!
you're at 1 million wow!
I love the mooncakes 🥮 that have ground nuts and dried fruit filling. I had them when I lived in China, but it’s hard to find them in the US.
I've been eyeing those shrimp cheeks, thanks for reviewing things so we know what to buy!
Costco orange chicken all the way!
okay those steamed dumplings look just like pierogi
also EDIT!! bird’s hat! where can I get one
I'm also not a HUGE fan of mooncake! I will have 1 quarter piece around Mid-Autumn Festival time, but other than that I don't really crave it. I do enjoy the egg yolk ones better!
