Berry smoothie now uses real fruit, where the old smoothie was artificially flavored and sweetened. Mocha freeze has changed also, using real coffee instead of being a coffee flavored beverage. With the better ingredients, the prices went up around a dollar for each drink.
- Hello costco food court employee here, the fruit smoothie is different from the old every berry smoothie and they changed it because they wanted the drink to be healthier, they used the same puree in the sundaes and that's different too. So the chicken bakes did change bc they used to be made by hand but now they are frozen:( No more combo pizza and sandwiches since covid bc (I was told) that it was too expensive to keep up and sadly they aren't thinking of ever bringing it back. (idk about the salads and acai and briskets tho :/) also: the churros are now a choc and cinnamon twist?? and they're frozen too that explains the color difference

I REMEMBER THE POLISH DOG AND IT WAS MY FAVORITE!! Growing up, I would only really go to Costco with my Nauni. We would always get the same order - a polish dog and a berry sundae. Those are really fond memories with her. I still at least get the berry sundae everytime I go to Costco for all of the nostalgia.

I’m team smoothie, although that may change once I try the mocha freeze and the “new” smoothie again. And a combination I LOVE is dipping the churro in either the plain ice cream or the ice cream with strawberry/chocolate sauce. The creaminess and vanilla-y flavor of the ice cream (maybe with a boost of strawberry/chocolate sauce) and the doughy cinnamon sugar goodness of the churro is amazing 🤩

I'm originally from Hawaii and I love the food there! I recommend a couple of food places: Bogarts or Da Cove for acai bowls, Poke from Foodland or Ono Seafood, sushi at Maguro Bros Chinatown or Katsumidori, and shave ice from Waiola

Regarding Hawaii, I’ve heard that residents are begging people not to visit right now as overtourism is causing significant issues and consuming resources making it hard for them to live their every day lives. Maybe consider postponing a trip until things have settled.
In canada the main event at Costco are the fries/poutine! We also still have the option of the polish hotdog. Outside of that.. I haven’t seen a lot of the items in this video. I don’t remember any chicken bake or churros.. but we do have chicken wings.
Hawaii local here! Definitely do not recommend the Mango smoothie; it's not sweet and was very tart. If you do come to Hawaii, you should check out the Hawaii local food items at our 7-Eleven and McDonalds ;)
In terms of the hot dog, the onions are sorely missed. Also, they used to offer delicious sauerkraut along with the onions. But, the hot dog and soda are still a great bargain along with the vanilla ice cream cup. Reminds me of Carvel!

I’m an old Costco employee and they switched the smoothie base from strawberry to açaí that’s why it’s more tart than sweet I miss the old one from my childhood too !!!
I think they took off the combo pizza when covid started! I remember my husband making trips to Costco for our food runs, and it was GONE. I thought it was going to return, but it never did and I’m STILL devastated. It’s funny cuz I’m in NY and surrounded by great pizza, but there’s something about that Costco pizza that I miss SO much.
If you are going to Oahu, (not sure which island you are planning to visit)I recommend the Rainbow drive in for their loco moco and then go next door to Shimazu’s for shave ice, then drive a few blocks to get fresh malasadas at Leonard’s. I also highly recommend the Pig and the Lady in Chinatown.

here in Australia we have the mango smoothie instead as well. We also have boba here but its a bit sad (as someone who also loves boba and knows many good boba places)....its super super sweet. Like toooo sweet, its also in that sort of slushie texture. Theres also korean fried chicken here...but its also not the best lol. Theres also more things but somehow...just somehow ive suddenly forgotten.

Dole whip is really good. Also, if you like feeling old, get some violet Chowards at Foodland. It tastes like mothballs and soap and those ball-filled air fresheners.

It depends on where in Hawai’i! If Maui, you have to try ‘Slappy Cakes’ which is a pancake art restaurant in Lahaina! There is also ‘Komoda Store and Bakery’ which has been around for decades and it known for their cream puffs. Don’t forget ‘Da Kitchen’ it your in Kahului! And always alway stop for ‘Guri Guri’ at Maui mall. Oahu has a multitude of places to visit! Maybe to many to recommend. “Cosmic Kitchen”, “Kahului Shrimp Truck” or “Matsumoto’s Shaked Ice” in Haleiwa. “sikdorak” for good Korean bbq. “Lavern’s Lunch Wagon” or “Helena’s” for good Hawaiian food. The good thing about Hawai’i is that there is a good range of places to go! Just try and hit local favorites instead of tourist traps Love the videos btw
Since the pandemic began, Costco stopped all self-serve condiments and the combo pizza. It was only recently that they brought back ketchup, mustard, and relish. They have yet to bring back onions. I miss the polish dogs and combo pizza which does not seem to be returning.

For recommendations you should go to Kauai!!!! I went there last summer and the beaches are AMAZING! They have a boat tour that goes around the island and you can see whales and turtles!! They let you get out and swim by really cool rocks with knooks and crannies everywhere! We saw lots of turtles and you could chase the fish! My favorite place was Jo-Jos! It’s a shaved ice place that has ice cream on the bottom [ vanilla or fresh made macadamia nut ] then shaved ice and it’s not like the super sugary syrups they were actually really good! They had lots of items there and it was a great treat. The island also has super great shopping and an amazing boba place!!
I forgot the name, but when I lived in Hawaii they had a SUPER GOOD Udon Noodle place, and I heard it’s cheaper than most restaurants there, I’d love to see you go! It’s called Marugame Udon! Soooo goood I totally recommend. Also love your vids in general💕

Last time I was at Costco I ordeeed the hotdog and soda for 1.50. The hotdog was yummy. The soda was so watered down and gross that I threw it out. I also had the frozen mocha. That was so good and the churro was good too. I’m going to Costco tomorrow and I’m def getting the hotdog again and mocha but I want to try that pizza !!!
A new trend is to put the hot dog (not the bun) inside the chicken bake. I used to the salad so I’m disappointed they took it away. But they sell a bigger tray in the store. I love the churros, I have to get two.
In cananda, we don’t have smoothies… we don’t even have coffee anymore. Just ice cream, fries, poutine, pizza, wings and hot dogs. They got rid of the Sandwhich

In England we have a Korean BBQ beef bake! I don't think it tastes much like Korean BBQ but it's amazingly delicious!

For recommendations you should go to Kauai!!!! I went there last summer and the beaches are AMAZING! They have a boat tour that goes around the island and you can see whales and turtles!! They let you get out and swim by really cool rocks with knooks and crannies everywhere! We saw lots of turtles and you could chase the fish! My favorite place was Jo-Jos! It’s a shaved ice place that has ice cream on the bottom [ vanilla or fresh made macadamia nut ] then shaved ice and it’s not like the super sugary syrups they were actually really good! They had lots of items there and it was a great treat. The island also has super great shopping and an amazing boba place!!

I forgot the name, but when I lived in Hawaii they had a SUPER GOOD Udon Noodle place, and I heard it’s cheaper than most restaurants there, I’d love to see you go! It’s called Marugame Udon! Soooo goood I totally recommend. Also love your vids in general💕

Last time I was at Costco I ordeeed the hotdog and soda for 1.50. The hotdog was yummy. The soda was so watered down and gross that I threw it out. I also had the frozen mocha. That was so good and the churro was good too. I’m going to Costco tomorrow and I’m def getting the hotdog again and mocha but I want to try that pizza !!!
A new trend is to put the hot dog (not the bun) inside the chicken bake. I used to the salad so I’m disappointed they took it away. But they sell a bigger tray in the store. I love the churros, I have to get two.
In cananda, we don’t have smoothies… we don’t even have coffee anymore. Just ice cream, fries, poutine, pizza, wings and hot dogs. They got rid of the Sandwhich
