Thanks a million. I tried to do this for ten minutes, stopping for fear I was going to break the motor, shaft or worse. After watching the video only halfway through, I was able to do it in less than a minute. That rear wiper had been terrible for years.

Sir thank you SO much for this quick lesson....!! Thanks to your instruction I avoided forcing something and breaking it. I didn't even know about the trick to pull the wiper arm out further. I followed your instructions and had the new blade on in less than a minute. Awesome !!

2019 highlander has same set up; you would expect that Toyota might include in their several hundred page manual to address "replacement of wiper blades". As all who have found this video, they do not. But thanks to this very helpful very well done video: problem solved. Thank you, now a subscriber.

Your hands are in the way.
The bolt cover needs to be grabbed on the sides and pulled out before up.
Its very flexible.
Also the wiper arm retainer is at a bit of an angle, so needs to be pulled out diagonally.
Using your directions, a gorilla could break this thing.
