Awesome, Jonathan, as always. Seeing jewel anemone (Corynactis viridis) brought such good memories of diving in Ireland, there are so many of these in different colors.
imma be honest, this guy filled most of my childhood. i remember when i was around 8 i watched him everyday and so often i would beg my parents to go swimming every once of twice a week. and when i did go swimming i would imagine i was Jonathan Bird exploaring the vast deep ends of the swimming pool 🤣
Glad that you, Joanathan, scuba dives with a double air hose, which lets me know which scuba diver you are. I can also tell that Elise is the scuba diver with light blue goggles. But can't tell which of the scuba diver is Christine and which is Liam. Ridiculous to hear one of the octopus speak. Great seeing octopus's camouflage in action.
When I'm diving, I al often imagining what the marine life would say to me if they were able to talk. Things like "This is MY rock!!" I'm pretty sure our audience understands that we are just using a little humor.
Really awesome video examples. the music is fine. I would suggest turning the volume down atleast one to two clicks. I wonder how deep the waters get farther from the coast line in that area. beautiful scenes with colorful reef and kelpery. what a fasenating style of octo color displays. glad you thought of showing us in slow motion. so cool. thanks so much.
What a wonderful dive full of marine life. Portugal looks amazing! Woody from Dive Talk would appreciate your Octopus narration too! 😂 The helium sounding voice always cracks me up.
@@BlueWorldTV I have seen them free swimming a couple of times on wrecks but mostly they lie in their lairs. They are found all the way up the NE Atlantic and I think once fully grown they do a one time migration to breed. I'm not sure if it's know where!
0:59 is this place what i think it is. It looks like Prince Henry the navigator’s school, the place where the age of exploration started Edit: never mind I don’t think it is. Because the one I was thinking about is called Fortaleza de Sarges
I love you so much I have been watching you since I was little I’m 15 now and I just love how you do all your videos, it’s so wholesome to see you go on all these awesome adventures!!!!!!! You have taught me so much about animals thank you so much for a wonderful childhood and for more years to come❤❤❤
A friend of mine is an amateur photographer. He was recently able to get some amazing shots of Flamboyant Cuttlefish eggs hatching. They started changing colors the moment they hatched!
I sure do love octopuses. I feel like they are super intelligent. Thank you for this awesome trip! Bless you and your family Jonathan 🙏🏼 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🎊
Happy New Year! I agree, every time I find an octopus on a dive, I'm probably going to stay with that animal until it takes off. I generally can't swim away from an octopus that engages with me.
Jonathan!!! for Christmas I got your limited hammerhead blue world shirt. I saw it and after 2 weeks it was gone..I’m so happy I got it today. You guys make awesome comfortable stylish shirts!! Keep it up!! Maybe if there are any blue world hats 🧢 lmk
Octopus Garden LOL oh deary me Johnathan remember that Beatles Song. Octopus garden was my first ever song ive listen to. BTW what kind of octopus are they because im familiar with the GPO, mimic and Wonderpus
Nice video ! Noticed that most of (all ?) Of the dive shops featured in blue world episodes are ssi certified, is that coincidential or is it a preference of yours to choose ssi dive shops above others ?
As always a great dive and always enjoy watching a family diving together. I must have missed when u switched from your us diver round label regulator to the Kracen regulator do u like it better? Thank you
Awesome I have always wanted to go scuba diving with you I love animals but mostly fish and sharks but I don’t think I could go scuba diving because I live in a city with not alot of rivers or places to go scuba diving
I think most if not all octopuses can change colors, right? Camouflage is their best defense in a world that generally views them as delicious, chewy calamari. Late edit because I got curious: I think all cephalods can camoflauge. The only exception seems to be wierd deep sea genetic offshoots like the vampire squid and nautilus.

My family has a cabin on a lake. For some reason I was fine snorkeling over the rock bars to look for "treasure" (bait, old bottles, cans, and any garbage.) But it took until my 30's to get over a weird fear of diving over the "hole" next to our dock. Could be all the weeds, or how much mushier the bottom is. Once I started I soon became friends with all the sunfish lol
Oh my goodness, it’s amazing to be back at this series. This series was my childhood, and honestly I cannot thank you enough for these videos Jonathan
Welcome back!
Octopuses are so fascinating. The shot of the one changing colors blew my mind! This was a really cool episode!
Thanks Raymond!

insanely beautiful shots of that ocean life, and octopus never get old...just amazing creatures!
I know your kids have to love to be able to go diving with you!!!!

It's nice to see a lot of familiar creatures, especially the congers, that we also get 1200 miles to the north in Scotland.

7:08 - Actually the Octopus was actually trying to tell us, "This isn't just any ordinary stone, that's my crystal ball!"

(Sorry, but I couldn't resist.) Love the video!

The first thing that came to my head when I saw the words octopus garden is the song octopus garden by the beatles

It's just known as the common octopus. Same species found in the Caribbean.

Aprovado! Estou morto por conhecer 😁

What kind of octopus is that, Jonathan?
Something that changes colors.
