- I had no idea what to expect from this at first after listening to the last song. The last one blew me away, and I didn't think it could get any better. Boy, was I wrong. I have a feeling I'm going to be listening to a lot more Dimash in the future!

There are millions of "DEARS" out there just waiting for a new reaction. My theory is that it must be like being a drug addict. The first time I heard Dimash, I was so blown away I listened to everything I could find, but after awhile, I wasn't surprised anymore. Then I found a "first time hearing Dimash reaction" and found I got the same "rush" watching the face of the reactor as I did when I heard it for the first time. Now, the trick is to not run out of reactors..lol

This song is actually quite old.....from the 70's. There was a very popular rock opera in France called Starmania and this song is from that musical.
Mixing genres in a single song is one of his trademarks if you will and he does it so seamlessly that it doesn't feel awkward or out of place. Just one of the many things that makes him and his music so unique.
👉 This is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears. (This is what Dimash calls us fans.) This song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight.
In 2017 Dimash received a wild-card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant of all time (22 years) and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part. Nobody knew or hear Dimash before and he also had to start first... and after this song Dimash captured the hearts of millions of viewers overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood at his door.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds, over 4 months. The jury consists of 500 spectators. With up to 1 billion people see this tv-program, that's generated international interest. The performances were uploaded to UA-cam... and so, we became Dimash’s Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned that Dimash would survive two episodes of the competition and go home again. They didn't really believe in him. But Dimash came, sang and stayed... for the next 3 years in China... but he only finished second in the competition because he's not Chinese (conditions have changed: The next year, Jessie J. won).🌼🇩🇪
👉 A few months later Dimash sang this song here, as a guest of honor at the opening ceremony of the competition 'Slavic Bazaar 2018'. (He himself will no longer participate in competitions.) 🌼🇩🇪
👉 In January 2021 Dimash was one of the few foreigners who has been asked to attend the live online show marking the inauguration of the President of U.S.A. Joe Biden. He is here as a representative of his country Kazakhstan and he is also here for his Dears from all over the world. He performed:

He did Queen's 'Show Must Go On' so beautifully (although he struggled with a few English words). Mispronounced words used to be a biggie for me but Dimash's singing is so stellar that I actually don't care. Just a small recommendation (Of course leave it or take it is fine (: ), when you want to say something in the middle of the video try to pause it instead of talking over the singing unless it is something short you say. And when you go back from a pause rewind some seconds so you don't miss vocals and long runs he does and the flow of the show is not lost.

I agree!! There are so many things going on in each song (even if you know the song, you don't know the Dimash version of the song) and a lot of reactors completely miss things while talking, not to mention you miss out on the emotion when your attention is misplaced.

I watched more than 50 reactions.…vocalist……vocal coach…..and other musicians…men and women most have goosebump……and mouth open…..some are ready to cry…..

HISTORY: This song (SOS Terrien en détresse) is part of Starmania it's a rock opera music by Michel Berger (France), lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Quebec, Canada).......two of the best.......
The show was presented for the first time on April 10, 1979 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris.
Michel composed for the first performer Daniel Balavoine for his special range. Unfortunately, Daniel died at the age of 33 in 1986 in a helicopter accident during a humanitarian mission in Mali.
The second, magnificently interpreted by Gregory Lemarchal, in 2004, he became known to the general public by winning the fourth season of the show Star Academy. Unfortunately, he died of cystic fibrosis at the age of 23 in 2007.
Dimash took over, it was “he” who chose it when he saw Gregory interpret it, respect to Dimash for preserving the linguistic origin of this work. Dimash interpret a song phonetically…….
In May 2018, Dimash performed at the 71st Cannes Film Festival (France). In July, he appeared at Slavic Bazaar 2018 in Vitebsk, Belarus, as a judge and guest artist, and sang "SOS an Earthling in Distress".

I agree with everyone who requested The Show Must Go On , Dimash's cover of Queen. It was performed when he was not as advanced in English as he is now so some words are not as clear as you may be use to but I promise you, you will not mind when you hear what he does. Since 2017 he has worked hard and his English is really very good. When he was in New York in concert in 2019 before this blasted pandemic, he spoke mostly in English and it was great.

Look at his face when he sing, so relaxed! He sertently looks good, but more important he is so humble, gentle, polite. He loves his people, his country, traditions, his culture and the elder generation.. "Marigold" will not show range, but it's tender and loving, honour song to all our mothers. You will see his mom in tears..

Dimash has never looked more Anime than in this performance, rocking his suit and that naughty centre parting. I can never quite wrap my head around the fact that he's 6'3", but always looks so diminutive. Is that the biggest mic in the world he's holding? Nothing pint-sized about his courage though, as he hurls himself at that final scale - it never ceases to be thrilling. To be putting out so much passion, while still being in command of his laryngal equipment is awesome. Nerves of steel, and an iron will. Dimash is his own creation (don't see why God should get the credit when it was D that put in the work). He is the apprentice to his own sorcerer.
The process you go from being "Kudaivirgin" to becoming "Dear" (meaning as Dimash calls his fans) is called being "Dimashified" ! You went through this process while watching Olimpico, but only now have you become aware of it ! Welcome to the special world of Dimash's music ! I can tell you that he can sing just about anything (opera, pop, rock, ethno, r & b, rap, ballads, but especially an inimitable mix of them in the same song. You will notice besides the incredible vocal range (his limits from A1 to D8), an incredible vocal control, a dynamic of the song, a very great power of narration, a truly inhuman breath control, an impressive stage presence and an ability to convey emotions even without understanding the lyrics (you can see the audience in complete silence (Love Is Like A Dream, Sinful Passion), the audience that sings, dances or simply jumps (Screaming in Idols Hits), that cries (Autumn Strong or Late Autumn, Daybreack, Daididau, Marigolds) or is captivated by the way he flirts with the audience (Opera 2) or who simply can no longer control their emotions (Adagio, The Show Must Go On, All By My Self, My Heart Will Go On) ! If you watch in The Singer 2017 Confessa + Diva Dance you will find at least that he sings the first song in Chinese language and Italian language and the second in Alien language ! He began studying music at the age of 5 and is now about to complete his doctorate in musicology, playing 7 instruments (including piano, drums, guitar, drums) and 12 earth languages (including Kazakh, Russian, English, Chinese, French, Italian) ! ARTIST FACTS: DIMASH KUDAIBERGEN is a Kazakh singer, songwriter, & multi-instrumentalist. Born in Aktobe Kazakhstan, Central Asia: May 24, 1994. He was trained in classical & contemporary music, and is well known for his exceptional widest vocal range.
I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it, to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning and imitating. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition.
The discipline, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his career the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living out our day to day life. His hard work for years is indeed bearing good fruits in abundance. And so my heartfelt congratulations to Dimash and his family and all others who supported him all the way through as a musician. For me as a public listener it counts a lot the personal disposition of the artist and the good content and message of its music.
The fact that, he is able to sing his music at maximum or more than 6 octaves with ease and comfort in different languages and in various voices is really amazing. But some others also cannot handle and cannot even believe the power, the strength and the heights of his voice…and they said Ooh… is Dimash human..? Alien..? Etc, I think It’s just a natural reaction that people wonder and be surprise by it or cannot even believed it at all, it’s because it is beyond human expectation.
I believed that Dimash 21 year’s cultivation of his voice and talents is no tricks and no magic at all; though he is gifted by God with grace for music but his years of hard work of practice and experiences proved it to us and to the world … that indeed it is possible. My other concern whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..?
Although Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it.
With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me. I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death)
SONG FACTS: The song is from French Rock Opera called Starmania. Originally it was sung by Daniel Balavoine who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986, who is known of his beautiful voice. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23.
Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. The song has sad lyrics: “a soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress” because it is a human being who is in anguish searching for the absolute.
MY THOUGHTS AND OPINION OF THIS SONG (REF CCC): Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life:
1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discerned well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that, it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with humility, discernment and faith in God.
Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any kind of pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow over time in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand.
Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are only strangers and pilgrims on this earth”.
Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. But through the original sin that enters human lives, our nature has been wounded, and is now subject to suffering and death.
Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives. Death creates in us a feelings of fear, separation, sadness and pain.
Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and even argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless.
If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. Death is such a peaceful, joyful event in our life, if we die reconciled with God and at peace with others as well. Death is unknown to all of us, therefore, it is best that we should prepare at all times.

He is a perfectionist...for the movie video Endless Dimensions he wears a distinctive jacket that he designed, he picked out the materials, the buttons, specified the degree of flare on the cuffs...he is involved in all aspects of singing and his performances...you will do well with subscribers if you keep reacting to Dimash. Another Kazakh singer, Daneliya Tuleshova, is also amazing even though she is only 14 years old. She won a Ukrainian tv talent show at 10 years old. She appeared on the worlds best and AGT. She did a cover of Dimash’s song Screaming.
