One of the options available is an induction cook top and can be upgraded to a 2,000 watt inverter and additional lithium batteries, but with huge extra cost.
absolutely right. RV market is cooling down fast, consumers have much more barging power. American labor cost is ridiculously much higher than European and Asian countries in manufacturing industry... So American RVs are dumb expensive.....Quality has big issue as well.
They need to show the inside first. Because if you don’t like the floor plan who cares what the outside has. Another is I like that he won’t open all the drawers
Hey thanks for the review! really appreciate it..however, with all due respect that music is quite distractive and hard to get through the whole video. Just saying other wise Great review!!
I love the overall look to it and the layout with the light colors, the only thing they should add is a popup tent so if you have kids then you can sleep more then just 2 with Murphy bed.
My biggest concern is the lack of AWD and only 188 hp. I know theres a turbo, but that seems very underpowered for a vehicle this size and weight. Other than that, with the battery package option including starlink, this is the ultimate "van life" vehicle.
@@RVoptimizer has a lot of torque which will help in those situations. But even just something like merging onto the freeway seems like it's going to be a tough ask
Would have been nice to have a good look at the Murphy bed, a few good shots of it instead of just 2 seconds. Airstreams do make good quality campers but are way out of my price range!
I like class C more than Class B and Class B+ (Class B+ would be better if it ran diesel instead of gas just like some of Class C's) this is because Class C is more power and stuff like that. my main concern for all these classes are AC. :/ so many reports that it gets too hot or doesn't handle as well. not to mention the most important part of owning these is you must or whenever have to upgrade your springs and tires. those will not do! Edit: oh that's smart having a bed that way it leaves room for a bigger bathroom. I like this a lot honestly I would buy it but no money. I do have a question do I need to change the roof every so often like every class c rv's?
Murphy Bed where folding T.V on the length wide of murphy bed??!! Wondering enough walking space between folding couch for another bed??!! Prefer at least one electric stove top In Advanced Please and Thank-You!!
For the life of me, I can’t understand why they use such small tires on this chassis? Those rear wheels should be at least 22 inches at the least, the ride looks overloaded and stressed!!!
Nah. This rig adds up to 300K+ taxes and fees. For that dough, I could get a used class A, low mileage for 200K and have it totally remolded for 100K with all the bells and whistles in latest tech.
There is no way this RV is worth north of $200k. Seems like you pay for the name. It is a nice coach. I wouldn't pay more than $150k, if that. The Unity coaches do more and have way better floor plans for less (on the same MercBenz chassis). I'm looking for one. Just not this one.
It kills me to see there videos where they are giving incorrect information about the RV. Example: solar panels 300 watts for the coach and 100 watts for the Sprinter chassis batteries… I have in fact called Airstream out on this and they have admitted no solar panels are tied into the chassis battery. Mercedes Benz will not honor their warranty if altered with aftermarket components. Sadly when you store your Airstream for longer than 3 weeks you will need to buy a Mercedes approved trickle charger for the engine battery as it will deplete from sitting. Every video I watch from these walk-thru’s talk about the dedicated solar panel charging the battery AND if you plug your shore power connection it will Also charge the engine battery. This is all FALSE. At what point is all of this information (even from Airstream direct website videos) FALSE advertising….? It simply frustrating to figure this out after spending $280,000 I’d love for someone to prove me wrong as I am an owner and just want simplicity. Sorry for the rant.
I asked this question of my Airstream rep (not dealer): "Three things keep Airstream Chassis batteries charged: Of course the alternator when driving. Of the 400 watts of solar, 100 are dedicated to charging the chassis batteries. Chassis battery minder when shore power is plugged in. Will charge the chassis batteries. Located under driver’s seat." I'm wondering who from Airstream said differently because we are clearly getting different answers on this.
Golf bag area? 😂 Of course. One exterior color? The interior is color palette is BLAND and depressing. I recently went to Ann RV show and most of the RVs, 5-wheels and vans had the same color scheme . . . BLAND or as if one would be vacationing in a toilet (poop brown). Do any of these interior designers consult with a colorist before building these RVs, etc? I doubt it.
That price is a clear rip off and air stream should be ashamed for being so greedy. Same for the others that over price. I hope they all get stuck holding them on thier lots. That thing is worth 150 at best and still profitable for them at that price. People! Don't buy until they all come down to reality with thier prices. What a racket.....and Mercedes has no real horse power.
I WOULD NOT BYE THIS VEHICLE.......(1) I WOULD ONLY BE ABLE TO DRIVE IT ON YHE FREEWAY.......NOTICE HOW LOW THE BOTTOM OF THE VEHICLE IS TO THE GROUND.......YOU HIT A @OT HOLE AND THAT WILL BE 1O,000 DLLARS JUST TO RE@LACE THE BOTTOM SIDE DOORS.......(2) ALSO THE BOTTOM SIDE DOORS DO NOT HAVE LOCKS SO EVERYTHING IN THE BOTTOM SIDE DOORS WILL BE STOLEN.......NO I WOULD NOT BYE THIS VEHICLE.......I LIKE TO DRIVE ON COUNTRY DIRT ROADS.......THIS VEHICLE IS FOR GRAND@A AND GRANDMA TO GO TO FAMILY RE UNIONS AND SHOW EVERYONE WHAT A SUCCESS IN LIFE THEY ARE
Nothing special about this unit! it looks the same as all the other over priced large vans lol sorry airstream even if I was rich I still wouldn't pay that much for your unit!
LTV better bang for your buck. I looked at one of these. They are nice but I settled on an LTV Rear Lounge and love it.
The background music is way too annoying.
Thanks for letting me know, I will keep the music off on future post.
Yes, don’t need the music . Maybe at the intro and end
@@RVoptimizer music in the background is fine just not the one thats playing.
Thank you for not opening all the draws😊 Instead, this was a solid, informative review
I'm surprised that Airstream would use a propane stove in this. Nice walkthrough !
One of the options available is an induction cook top and can be upgraded to a 2,000 watt inverter and additional lithium batteries, but with huge extra cost.
What is the downside to propane cook top?
Now this one is more my style. I cautiously like it. Notation: The teakwood kinda clashes with the other tone; and the toilet seems tight.
No current rv is worth the inflated msrp

It’s worth whatever you can get for it. Build cheap or high quality . The middle ground never sells
Woof 290k? It's very nice but too rich for my blood.
The Mercedes platform with a rig like this sure seems underpowered for travel in the mountains. The cost is also exorbitant.
The cost is exorbitant because it is a Mercedes, top O the line! I do wish they'd go electric or solar.
Great video! Does it come with a table? Where would someone eat?
Yes, it does come with two tables, one goes in front of the sofa and one goes between the two front seats for when you turn them towards the back. Thx
IT is Beautiful
Thanks for the video 👍

Electric window curtains are nice.
But if I have to raise and lower the sunvisors manually, I'm just going to have to pass.

The Atlas has the ideal layout, imo.
I love the overall look to it and the layout with the light colors, the only thing they should add is a popup tent so if you have kids then you can sleep more then just 2 with Murphy bed.
I wonder if that’s a customization option?
Beautiful spec, can't wait to get mine! 🤞

I thought the same thing at first, I've been up some very step mountains and it handles it very well.

Based on the price you'd think that The Atlas is light years ahead of The murphy bed by Leisure, but I don't see it. I think it's grossly overpriced!!

This was a nice quick overview. Great job. If you watch an Airstream video they go into much greater detail.

2023 Atlas Airstream RV more C class wondering B class little bigger???!
I’ll stick with my leisure travel van.:)
The old v6 chassis
Sheesh… More than my house

You can get a early 2000's Prevost with a series 60 Detroit Diesel for 220k
Looks a LOT like LTV! Wonder who's copying who?
Maybe for 190K... otherwise a complete rip off!!!
HOW MUCH????
320k
If a person needs babies connections for babies car seats??!!
For who ??
Wonder what it is worth once you drive off the lot and of course like all campers terrible warranty.. definitely not worth 300k..
Did he say pricey? I pass....it should not be more than 120k same as Europe
Looks like Chatsworth
Copy of a Leisure Travel Van!
Fit, finish, furnishings, electronics, rear air suspension, and more-- much nicer in Atlas. I cancelled LTV order in favor of Atlas.
