Im surprised you didnt crack one off before loosening your nuts .. especially when theres no nipples to play with I normally do the pipe with the caliper on the car so I have something to work against , that way the car holds things still , but a great video .
How easy is it to change the hub. One of my wheel nuts is snapped and seized in the hub. Ive tried to drill it out to re-tap it but its knackered. Some kid with an impact drill probably cross threaded it. Even used Titanium/cobalt drills. They wouldn't touch it. I'm assuming it would need a new bearing as well as the hub. Many thanks, Wayne.
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos love it. You say it like it is 🤣🤣. It’s a Movano, I’m gonna give it a go I think. Does the hub come with the bearing fitted? Or is it 2 separate parts. Thanks for getting back. I’m only in Stalybridge so could pop over to you to sort it 🤪
Good job man in replacing caliper but you need disks as well iv hot a nissan nv400 needs disks and pads and new calipers on the back going to do it latter on when weather gets better👍👍

What I ment to say them brakes wouldn't pass the DOE brake test in Ireland there very strict here I lived in uk for 30 years there not as strict over there
Yes DOE is more strict. This was actually a repair to get it through an MOT over here. Passed no issue. To be honest, the brake disc looks worse than it is.
You always explain stuff in an automotive, technical, instructional way 👍👍
Yet I keep things very simple. It’s not intentional, it’s just because I am a very simple bloke myself.
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos i know.......but sometimes, simple is best 🤣🤣
Great idea to fill the brake calliper with fluid before fitting,I’m definitely going to do that next time I replace one!
Definitely helps I think

I initially cracked it off before removing the calliper, but nipped it back up to not get air in

It’s not something I’ve done on one of these, but generally changing jobs can be anything from a piece of piss to a major pain in the dick 😬

In an ideal world yea, but for now that’ll do
bloody sliders are seized solid on mine !!!. looks like I might have to buy the other side of the caliper if I can't get em out .
Bit of heat, they should come out. Try using an impact gun but genitally.
Much did you you pay for new caliper
@@Stuartduchart1987 couldn’t tell you mate, it’s my brother in laws van. He got the parts
Do ya have any stickers left ? 🤔
Not at the moment sorry 😔

And as ever, the best chippy is the one near your house.
It’s not, it’s the one near my house, but anyone and they will always say the same.

Very helpful this
Glad it helped
Haaa got to do this on both sides and the disks, Oh joy
Complete and bleed up one side before taking the second one off or else you’ll probably struggle to bleed the system
Dear Santa can I have a new caliper for my van so I don't crash and die. It's clearly an elf and safety issue. 😂
I actually filmed this on Boxing Day 🤣
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos Any excuse to get away from the kids! 🤣

Something wrong here, the brake fluid isn't it's normal black colour 😂
Makes a change 😂
Should have clamped the brake hose
I try to avoid doing that if I can
twist mot fail, you need undo the pipe where it meets the metal pipe, an you make video doing it like this 😢
It has a slight twist but not enough to be a problem or an MOT fail. I mention this in the video.
The discs are ducked
Be fiiiine
Yikes! You've certainly had your moneys worth out of those discs?😀
Nahhhh, loads left on them!
Funny man.😂
Thanks mate!
