    Length goals! I was relaxed from the age of 15 to 36. Decided to try natural. I couldn’t find products that worked. My hair always looked dry. Tried a lot of different products. I recently texturized my hair. I look better with straight hair. Still relearning how to take care of it. When I was relaxed before I think I took care of it good . I don’t remember the products I used to use lol. I am currently trying the full line of Shea moisture Jamaican black castor oil line.

    Thank you for sharing Domonique @Style Domination. Your hair is looking healthy and beautiful. I am still in my relaxed hair journey and was so very grateful and thankful to find you. I relaxed in August (August 11th to be exact) and have not relaxed again as I have very fine, thin, soft, cottony, high porosity (because I color my hair) 3c/4a with thin hair density. I probably will not relax again until late January or February and am really considering only relaxing my hair once a year. My goal is to use healthy practices, including herbs and hair products with less chemicals and deep condition twice a week as well as more co-washing and shampooing my hair once a month. I want to get my hair healthier. I was natural for eleven years, but just could not handle my hair getting those fairy knots and decided to relax. Because my hair is so thin and soft, having relaxed hair makes it look thinner, so this is why I am choosing to relax or touch up my new growth only once or no more than twice a year. Thank you again. Excellent video. Blessings and Happy New Year to you and yours. Janice💖💖💖

    I just found your channel and have binge watched a ton of your videos. So much good information. I've been relaxed since 8th grade and have no plans to ever go natural...can't deal with too much regrowth so I'd go nuts completely natural. If I had to guess I think my texture is 4B and my hair is mid back. It's only been within the last 5 years that I have figured out most of what my hair needs (I'm 60 so a lifetime of trial and error). I have recently been trying to figure out products to limit reversion and frizz. Any suggestions? I heard that hair that is full of moisture doesn't absorb as much from the air. With that in mind, I saw your recommendation for Joico Moisture Recovery shampoo and conditioner and was ready to get some but from other youtubers I have found out that the formula recently changed. Have you tried the new formula and, if so, is it still your favorite? Could you do a comparison video? Quite a few of your tips and processes I had figured out on my own and it's good to see that I've been doing so many things right. I can't wait to try S Curl. Keep up the good work spreading the word on relaxed hair.

      Karen Conquest I am so disappointed that they changed the formula. The reviews on the new formula are sooo bad!! Ugh. I don’t even what to try it. And I hear you. I’ve been relaxed since I was 15, and don’t think I’ll ever go natural. Just seems like a lot of work. Lol

What do you think I should do?

    • @TerryAB
      @TerryAB 4 роки тому

      Kim Donghan if you don’t want to cut I’ll suggest protective styles with deep conditioning regularly. You’d need to use good products to have a good stretch and not break your new growth. She has tons of videos on stretching your hair. And trim lightly every month or so to get rid of the brittle ends .

      Hello Teni! Oh no! I feel it smells like marshmallows and flowers! I love it! LOL! Funny how differently we react to fragrances. AND YES - Jamaican Black Castor Oil STINKS. But it's so good, I suck it up and use it. LOL. Thanks for watching, girl!

    HI, style Domination , whats the difference of using olapex no3 rather than no.8 I am just new in this range ,seems works wonders to my hair as if had a brazillian treatment when I did at hair salon, my hair dresser gave me olapex no 8 to do what you were doing with no3 n also given no6 which is a leave in condtioner i guess...im so confused now! I do I really need to use no3 not no8???.....
    also she gave me Kerastase curl manifesto shampoo to use it first wash ,then apply olapex no8 leave in for 20min wash it off ,hair dry my hair then put olapex no6 to moisturise and if I need light oil for shine n sleek look apply wella CR oil reflection day after.
    I had fantastic results when this products were used at hair salon n I bought them, I just confused if I really need olapex no3 also or just the whole range though its on the expensive side, it does not really matter anyway if it will keep my relaxed hair strong ,sleek n not lay down prevent breakage etc.......can please advice me sis what should I be incoperating and also this recommedation given by a hair dresser will it save n keep my relaxed hair strong and thriving......I SO ADMIRE YOUR RELAXED HAIR.X

    How often do you use olaplex?

    • @StyleDomination
      @StyleDomination  4 роки тому +1

      Only about once a month. A few months ago, my hair felt like straw, so I started using OlaplexI twice a month to restore hydration. I feel it helped (along with breaking up with my flat iron).

      Style Domination hi, do you mean the Olaplex made your hair feel like straw?

    • @StyleDomination
      @StyleDomination  4 роки тому +1

      gemruby41 No no. I was using too much heat. That was drying out my hair. Using Olaplex twice a month really restored hydration and softened!

    I got a relaxer done January 4 of 2020. And I wanna get another one when it reaches 7 months. Now I know you said not to apply relaxer on the ends and only on new growth but I'm kinda scared. Can you please talk me through it.

    • @StyleDomination
      @StyleDomination  4 роки тому +1

      Ok - so, when I was about 16-17, I had to go in for a "relaxer correction". My mother, despite being pretty good at applying relaxers, would always start on the left side of my head, and end on the right. By the time she'd get to the right side, the left side would be burning so bad, that I'd beg her to wash it out. This resulted in the right side being under processed. That side of my head was way frizzier and puffier than the other side. I went to see my current stylist - who is a trained professional with years of experience - and she ran some mild relaxer from the roots to the ends up my hair to even out the texture. She did this quickly and with care to prevent overprocessing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE TRY THIS AT HOME...but it can be done by a pro.
      That being said, why do you want to do this? Apply relaxer on the ends? I wouldn't do it if I were you. Send me some more details at styledomination@gmail.com. and I will try to help!

      @@StyleDomination for sure! I'll send you an email when I get home because I'm freaking out not knowing what to do. I know for fact I only want the relaxer on my new growth but but the time its 7 or 8 months my ends are dead. I'm scared if I relax just the new growth that the ends wont match the relaxed part. Does that make sense ?
