Hi Matt, New to your channel Bud, So just wanted to say THANK YOU for putting these Vids up. I grew up Building Minis in the 80s [@ 14] Then worked at Fords [South Wales] Then drove CLASS1 HGV for 12 Years, Then got on Mobile Cranes [Better £££] So Really giving some thought to Building my own Mini now i;m 52 and driving an VW Polo 1.6tdi [LOL] I just NEED SOMETHING to bring a bit of ZING back into this life. And with ALL the new Mini tech Like SC Twin-Cam heads/Easy instal Turbo kits [JET-MOTORS In the US] KAD/Jack Knight/M.E.D/ etc and having a LOT more knowledge i could build a nice QUICK Mini. I have;nt got the welding/Fab skills like yourself BUT with KITS available for Honda V-TEC and having around 120BHP you CANNOT beat the old Classic Mini. Best wishes Bud.
Minis do have that’s little ripper feel to them don’t they, I think that’s why so many ppl go back to them at a later time in life, I’d go Honda just for easy and reliable driving and that 5th gear to plod down the motorway
For sure mate, it’s all that same stuff really and I’m not one for just making content for the sake of it really. You will all get bored of my good looks 😂
Well...I've jumped back after watching and enjoying your next one!!! Just when you think it's same old same old along comes something to mix it up and keep it interesting 8))
Nicely done... I normally just use taco gussets for the door bar, but I do like your conclusion for the end of the door gusset. I had to junk my last 5 kilo roll of wire, it kept getting jammed on the feed rollers, I was talking to some other guys in our area and a few of them had the same issue.
I’m going to get a new reel and see if that better from a different supplier. I liked the square sided gussets more then I thought I would to be honest
Hey Matt, can you provide measurements of the tower bars to attach the Vtec subframe? Or a video on that process? I've got a K24 I'm looking to build with your spaceframe dimensions. This is the missing piece to the puzzle I need that I can't find in your other videos. Thanks!
Hi buddy, Iv got a chassis that’s been brought into me for sort out than I’ll be making another. I don’t have any plans I let out really. I did do a video with some dimensions in it a while back to help ppl get to a good point, can’t remember what one it was tho lol
glad the viedos are off use to you buddy, gussets can vary depending on where they are needed really, most are 1.2 but some can be 1.5 or 2m if around suspension points
Great workmanship and skills. I learn a lot from watching you. This is my favourite channel.
I really appreciate that mate and I’m glad you enjoy and pick up some tips along the way 👍🏻🙏🏻

Beautiful work which inspires my own modest efforts. ''Not recording' each full spaceframe build in the future will save you hours on each one.

Well done Mr Skidmore. Really impressive. Hope that welding wasn't too hard on your knees.

Great work man👍🏻what alloy are you using for your cage and subframes?
The tube is R,O,P,T CDS tubing to proper roll over protection tube for roll cages buddy
Great work I´m deeply impressed! I'm looking for a mini space frame. Can I possibly buy blueprints or would you build another one for me?

Much enjoyed as ever, and I learn so much each time. One question - what sort of thickness are the gussets? Like 1.2mm sort of thing?
