The tx-6 is gonna be a classic. I got mine and it’s worth it’s weight in gold. My portable rig just became that much more portable. The small mixer just adds so much production value to your signal chain.
Good stuff! That cassette tape is looking and sounding nice. Nice to hear that the speaker is much improved too...this really makes it such a self contained device.
Stereo tracks and sampling is a game changer, the overall sound quality is crystal clear. New reverb and synth are very impressive. Different tapes is really cool!
MIDI, 100 times MIDI. The fact that it can play nicely with the OP-Z (or whatever devices you have) is a real Missing Link. Also, just personally, multiple Tapes is a huge one - it'll be great to be able to jot down different ideas concurrently without needing to juggle BPMs on a single tape. What's with the new color scheme, though? Feels much less iconic.
@@marquee-moon I haven't used the original OP-1's midi too much. Can you help me understand what MIDI updates are the biggest improvements and why will they be such game changers? Thanks.
Sounds very interesting to me. Now you are the 4th UA-cam I’ve seen having this already. Damn. How dose the speaker sounds like? Like a JBL Go3 ? Thanks for the share.
Can you send an ext audio from some other gear to the tx-6, link that ch to a op1F tape ch, add Op1F fx-mod on the fly, and parallel that with a mirrored ch on the tx-6?
Lol read this comment so many times, sorry not ignoring you, but I think the simple answer is no, I don’t think that kind of internal routing is possible. But I haven’t tested direct connectivity between the units yet.
That joint rides.. 🔥🔥🔥. No keyboard I've ever owned compares to these sounds. Sonic warmth... Deep fkn bass. I gladly paid the 2Gs. Paid the same for a Yamaha Motif 61 key in 2001... I feel this OP-1F is better.

Thank you I’m going to experiment with this later! I figured it was probably with CWO but I’ve never gotten that tape speed shift sound without having to twist the knob manually so this is a brilliant solution for that!
Great jam! Any chance the audio input supports plug-in power now? I use my little Sony ECM-DS70P with the Deluge and it’s like having a stereo field recorder; was hoping this new OP-1 would support something like this. (The original OP-1 doesn’t)

well, yeah. art should be all about having fun creating whatever floats your boat. as eurorack's gotten boring common stuff on YT this setup will greatly boost rates instead - so, a wise decision by you and TE, as well, even as this is more "bloat your float". have fun.

Yes, but you can overdub tracks. You can also (at least on og op 1) record it to a vinyl, and record that vinyl back as one tape track. It's pretty obtuse, but you can work around it

Yea it’s hard to explain but it feels really cool when you’re using it!!
Interesting way to use it with loops
Super demo ! Congrats !

I'm just angry that this is literally the only synthesizer available in the world and that I am legally required, on pain of death, to purchase it.
How does this sound so crisp ? I cant achieve the same level of deep bass sounds without sounding so distorted on my op-1f
Could be the mastering? I think I put a Vulf compressor on this one pretty hard.
you're pegging your levels.
Man I will manifest one of those things
This was sick
Dang; sounds great!
Whatever you do, be careful not to turn the mixer off, when you go to tweak the level of channel 1.
It’s hard to turn off. Very deliberate pressure is required. The op-1f has a setting for its switch that prevents it from turning off just in case.

I wonder if the OG Unit Portables case will fit the Field. 🙏
Apparently It technically does but it’s not ideal as it is a little tight around the new power switch that sticks out. Prob wouldn’t recommend.
