Who's here in 2024..for the millionth time.. this is one of the best truly musical performances live I've seen
Yezzir got it on FULL BLAST !!! for the millionth time hahah
It’s incredible
Truly a masterpiece
I want to share this with everyone but not everyone has the attention span, sad.
This jam is soooo damn good!
Almost 2024 and this masterpiece still rockin' hard !
What an incredible performance !!
Real Talk im here in 2024 also!
+1
2021 still one of the greatest performances ever
so organicly powerful
It’s amazing. I’ve watched this video regularly for 10 years.
No doubt about that
FACTS
Agreed!
Who's here in 2019..for the millionth time.. this is one of the best truly musical performances live I've seen
I agree, I just wish he wouldn't have put his girlfriend on vox. John Lennon made the same mistake. Pussywhipped causes the music to suffer.
Ah you're being dramatic lol. I'm not gonna bullshit you and say she's the strongest link here, but she was a singer before they dated, and she can actually...ya know, sing. She's pretty much only on his solo stuff and hasn't injected herself into his other work. I thought Xenophanes was one of his better albums and they both shared vocal duties. Call me pussywhooped but if I had the opportunity to work with my girlfriend in a setting like this, I'd take it.
@@Posit_Zero_Blue Mix the music out and tell me she is a good singer... The tracks without her vocals and the times she doesn't sing are significantly better. I'm not saying she is the worst vocalist ever, but if this was all instrumental it would be so much better.
@@Posit_Zero_Blue Again man, I agree she is definitely not the worst singer ever and many musicians are much worse live, she really isn't that bad. I'm just saying she's not good enough to make the songs better. It's much easier to enjoy the parts of the songs where she isn't singing.
@@rhelferstay I love Omar, but by your example you could say the same about most of the stuff he writes/plays on guitar for any project, it ends up sounding pretty terrible by itself without the other instruments.
All the days of my life, ever since I've been born, never heard a man drum like this man before
I see what you did there. 👌🏽
you need to hear Achilles Last Stand (Live Knebworth 1979) then
ua-cam.com/video/JFp95fr9A6w/v-deo.html bill bruford with king crimson, enjoy.
Watch him now
2022 and this is still one of the most utterly amazing live performances I've watched. Just magic happening up on stage there.
2020, countless times watching again.
We all deserve someone who looks at us the way Ximena looks at Omar.
Amazing performance. Drums, Bass, Keyboards, Voice and Guitar. Excellent work of art.
this is the best of modern era, progressive music. This is the best of what my generation, our generation has to offer. people may not get them now, but 20 years from now they will be legends (i expected this to have many more than 45,000 hits)
1.6 mil 10 years later you were right now everyone sounds like this
I’m an old dude and totally dig this music. I grew up hooked on early King Crimson, Genesis, Gong, Yes, ELP, etc. This is fresh air for my soul. Real music. Thanks for posting this!
You were totally right my friend.
goddamn chills every fuckin time Poincare starts. jesus, i've been listening to this version at least 100 times...
im still here in 2021 listening to this masterpiece fighting anxiety...
THE DRUMMER IS INSAAAAANE!!!
Yeah deantoni is a god
As me dad said once Get some linear beats in yer
the first time i heard this song was mind blowing, never heard this kind of rythm until i met Deantoni Park
Deantoni parks is in another level
Mi idolo
One of the greatest rhythm sections in rock history: Juan Alderete de la Peña & Deantoni Parks !!!
people need to know! SO FREAKING TIGHT!!
the dynamics live, are unreal!
Agreed !!!!
i've watched this a million times. still love it!
Lennart Böske Same!!
Can understand, co i am going through the same
I'm the other 181,183 views
.
sup bro
Only a million? Weak
sameeee
I was one of those "deer in the headlights moment guys" being that this was the first show that I had ever been to. I should've never gone, because now I have way too high expectations when going to other shows! haha.
this set still gives me chills... years and years and many more years.... NO band has impressed me at a similar level as The Mars Volta and Omar's projects have.... They exist in a completely unique category.
8 Years later and I'm still getting chills from it.
I wish I could bottle this video up and drink it every morning. It's 2023 and I've been coming back to watch it since 2016. Orgasmic
its so good how deantoni simulates a echo/delay for his snare drum. really good!
+Daniel Roth yeah, but in general his performance on the song is trully awesome
What you mean so good man? The intensity of the first hit in relation with the others hits, the tempo, the feeling, the performance....is ONE OF THE BEST IN HISTORY OF MUSIC!
Bruh, saw TMV with Deantoni in 2011; that night still has a huge influence on my playing these days.
Daniel Roth totally agree! At first watch I haven't noticed that he's doing it with his hands and fingers. Thought it was an effect or something..
Exactly my thought. He gets it just perfect
Crowd is lucky to be there. Omar's music changed my life years ago, love that he never really stops creating. What an inspiration.
I keep coming back to this vid! Don't ever get this down!
lol, i'm here again too xD
Rafael Oliveira same here bro. I love this video
Rafael Oliveira and me hahaha
yes yes yess
Yes, constantly coming back.
No puedo creer que esta joya tenga ya casi 10 años y apenas di con ella. Les quedo excelente.
Still in 2023
i love the whole vibe of and atmosphere in this video. everyone seems so happy. juan seems pleased, marcel smiles happily and ximena brightens the whole hall with her smiling and laughing, while deantoni goes crazy and omar stays concentrated.
Amen to that!
I came for Omar and Ximena. The bass player is really good but oh my god the drummer! This video is absolutely awesome!
Juan alderete is a animal on bass and a legend google his name a stellar list of work he has done ..
go listen to amputechture by the mars volta, it’s basically the same band playing here
Deantoni didn't play on Amputechture. Jon Theodore did.
I thought Thomas P played on Amp?
"No mire lo sabio del presente, gozo para disipar, la calma es indeleble". ♡
2023 and we still here Omar.
love the bass in this. juan alderete kills it. as well as deantoni.
Emilio Lopez Yes!!! So true I absolutely love the bass lines he is playing, and with such discipline.
juan holding it the fuck down as usual
the energy of this drummer, this guitar, theses efects and this voice...
2023 and this is still the best live song OF ALL TIME
10 years since and I’m still fucking blown away. Every-single-time I’m listen to it. Most inspiring and emotional performance ever... it’s just perfect, from Ximena’s awkward dance moves to the smiles they all share. No mention to bloody Dantoni’s drum skills and that sick guitar solo. These echo voices will always hunt me in my dreams. I’m grateful this recording is there for me to check on.
It’s been 8 years and this is still one of my favorites!!
I’ll be past dead and gone before this even holds a chance of a hint of maybe even possibly getting old for me
Solid af
Already 2024, masterpiece all along
Still the best. 2023. Cheers!
The best moments
0:34 - Juan's smile
3:42 - Parks' quiet drumming (the echoes he creates)
6:10 - The beginning of the last part of the song
7:34 - Ximena's dancing getting weirder
8:00 - That guitar riff, wow
8:45 - Epic drum moment
8:52 - Epic drum moment part 2
She's dancing like Charles Manson lol
Great observations!
@@mrsilence666 that's just the dance of LSD lol
Some of Omar's best work.
🙌
still coming back to this one
Tracklist (two songs off of Omar's Album: 'Solar Gambling' and improvisation afterwards until the end)
1. Un Buitre Amable De Pico
2. Poincare
3. Improvisation
ah, coming in with the deep knowledge, respect
Muchísimas gracias
Love you thank you
8 years ago you saved the day, thank you!
Still come back and listen to this. The energy in the room is just incredible
I remember sitting in my dorm in university watching this when it was uploaded. It had about 1,000 views. I’m still as blown away as ever.
Best wishes to Juan
2022 I still enjoy this music
I can’t believe this has stayed #3 on my UA-cam driving playlist for about 13 years now! Wow… I’m getting old… Either way, this will always be in my top moments of music history in all time up with Song Remains The Same and CAN blowing up the scene, don’t forget Ozzy I’m the purple tassels hippie gear in front of half a million people doing war pigs! Oh and Don’t forget Cygnus Vismund live in 07 with the amazing solo! I could go on forever.
One of the best performance out there.
FUERZA JUAN!
best live performance ever
Yep, this is definitely better that Zeppelin in 1973.lol
Great. For me it’s La Villa strangiato exit stage left version. GAWDAM that solo.
this is what i live for
Yup
...it motivated me to grab my bass again after 7 years of absence.
thanks for that Omar,Juan and Deantoni Parks.
Been watching on repeat for the last few years now
Unas de las mejores canciones que he escuchado en mi vida.
I was here with my brother who I don’t talk to anymore. Beautiful set.
I cam only imagine how bad ass it was . !! I got the privilege to see The Mars Volta last year at the Trubador. It was by far the most exciting day I think I ever had. !!!! I love him !!
If I could like this 100 more times I would.
Still an amazing song. Deantoni takes his place in olympus after this set
11 years and still coming back.
Cannot stop listening to this ...
The drum fill at 8:45 tho.. This is still one of the best live performances on the internet.
Abril 2021 y este tema se va inmortalizado como una tremenda obra de arte
Junio 2022
It's Jan 31 2024
It's been 13 years and I still haven't seen someone play drums like this since this video was released.
Just got out of a 4 year bid in the Feds and I’ve longed to hear this song for so long. It brought me home
Just like one of Zappa's songs....You wish it'd never end
It's pretty bad when the song ends after 9 minutes but you wish it would just keep going on for an hour...
2023 and I come crawling back... This whole set.... so good
2023 check in
Que amalgama perfecta es la voz de Ximena con la música de Omar. Me encanta!
Fuerza Juan!!!!
2023 y empecé a cantarlo cuando me enteré q venian a chile l.o
2023 - re-upping this shit as some damn magnificent drumming, who's with me?
I'm so glad Deantoni is the new mars volta drummer... Pridgen was so flashy and not within omar's style. Deantoni seems to just understand everything omar's trying to express with his music and compliments it perfectly without ever being heard, only felt. A truly amazing drummer.
Un orgasmo de 9 minutos, sublime! Cada vez que lo escucho es mejor, gracias!!
First saw this vid in 2018, I come back a few times a month. Still as good as ever
The closest I been a similar performance was in the 2022 Mars Volta reunion shows, everyone was so happy and smiling and the music was absolutely mind blowing
incredibly musical drumming
no mames esta canción es una puta obra de arte!!!
Leve, tampoco te cagues en los calzones chamaco
como se llama la cancion?
ª
these live tracks are like the best thing in the last 20 years in music. and on refused tv. how much awesomeness.
2023 and can’t get enough…after 1,000 times listening to this masterpiece. Maravillosas canciones!!
Deantoni keeping that rhythm though
I love this song and her vocals!
I always come back to this video.
2022 I've been in love with this song for 5 years
-- Lyrics --
Soy lo que sucede entre distancias
Tiempo lleno de palabras
Hacia donde parten los minutos
Quien se los llevara?
Trazo solucion cuando me despierto
Mis momentos pa' olvidar
Lo que acúmulo, la orilla del rio
Tuyo para deshacer
No miré lo sabio del presente
Gozo para disipar, la calma es indeleble
.
Allah razı olsun
@@uuummmuuutttgundogar4358 English translation if possible, please.
@@leedavis8300 I'm what happens between distances.
Time that will not repair.
Thowards where the minutes go.
Who will take them?
I trace solution when I wake up.
My moments to forget.
What I accumulate on the river bank.
Yours to undo.
I didn't look into the wisdom of the present.
I enjoy to dissipate.
The calm is indelible.
❤
I love the singer.. Omar kills it on her pedals!!! Love the drummer as well... Great performance.. Juan alderte is a magic man!!
i love this music
2023 ... Anyone ?
Unexpected Ximena Sariñana...
I thought it was her. Very unexpected
lmao yeah what
Not unexpected because it was Omar’s girlfriend
Jc I didn’t know that either 😂
@@JC_ORTIZ whaaaat?
Around 3:30 to 3:35, if you look behind Ximena's beautiful smile, you can see Cedric standing offstage.
Jeff Seacat 1. Why would you look behind her? Or anywhere away from her?:) Seriously, though, the reason I keep coming back to this video is to listen to this sound BECAUSE there's no androgynous whining in these songs...I'm fuckin sick of his voice...and I say that as a maiden fan and just generally a fan of high-pitched vocals, but this dude has gone full james blunt...you never go full james blunt.
I can not believe music like this can be conceived, much less written & then played live.
This is incredible & makes me so, so happy.
Omar's work ethic is kinda motivating...he's never stopped writing music...he just keeps on writing more and more and more...the guy loves music that's for sure!!
I just want his shirt. and his guitar. and effects. you know what, I'll take it all!
what a set up. the drummer in the middle. like the heart of a body. omar is the brain and the rest of the band is the blood
2021 keeping it alive! Much love!
Best song in the world, play this at my funeral and when im reborn again. 2022.
If I was credible. I would have to inquire this as the best performance on UA-cam thus far.
Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for this
Huge Volta fan. Why am I just now seeing this? Amazing! So beautiful and intense.
Just the best drums i ever heard
What a fucking band! Holy shit!
3:23 Cedric creepin in the background
+cclbiah "God damn Ximena, blowin' up my spot"
Holy shit! Lol
ROFL!
Haahahahahah my god he looks so creepy
Wowwww good eye! Haha "creepin" is definitely the best way to put it
this a masterpiece
drums, guitar, it's all solid gold fm
2023 still one of the greatest live performances ever!
