A problem that is easy to deal with. They can surround a stereo with an electirc fence that will blast noise to attract the critters, and once those comes into contact with the fence then zap. Or they can create those chambers with little entrance similar to those traps that animals can get in but can't get out, attract the monsters with noise then once they are trap inside, unleash poisonous gas inside.
Or we could just shoot them from inside armored vehicles.

It’s possible that this could be ok. Those news rooms are usually in the middle of a building with good sound proofing, so the mics don’t pick up random noises from outside. So between all the layers it was probably safe. It seems like as long as there are louder things they don’t care much, and even the genteel bleed of noise that might make it out would be more quiet than the rest of the world.

Edit: Mute = can't talk. Deaf = can't hear. If you're deaf you can't hear anything then you won't know if you made an accidental noise. If you're mute then you might already know sign language making it easier not to make a noise while communicating.

No it's not. She could knock over a shelf or kick a can and wouldn't hear it. Her family could've also whisper yelled at her to come to a safe spot from a distance, and she wouldn't hear them. The vesps would be on her before she even realizes they're coming. There was a more realistic horror movie with a deaf protagonist (I think it was just called Deaf), where a deaf woman was trying to hide from a killer, but kept accidentally making noise and not realizing it. There were multiple times in the movie where he was standing behind or next to her, seconds away from stabbing her, and she didn't even notice him. Being deaf doesn't automatically make someone a superhuman. Deaf people can also talk and scream, they just don't realize how loud they're being. Being deaf in this world would be more like playing on beginner mode.

It's really a shame that if a dog is in any movie, you basically know it's going to be killed for some reason. At least in horror or sci-fi type movies; if a dog exists, it will somehow die or be sacrificed for sadness.

I watched this movie with my mother when I was younger. I loved it. The concept of this and everything of the movie. I found it very interesting to watch.
The wood chipper solution kind of blew the entire premise. They kill themselves. This is why I love this channel. You’ve saved me countless hours. Sometimes, the recap is so good I’ll watch the movie. Lol

If you apply logic to movies most of them can't happen, these prehistoric creatures getting killed by wood chippers wouldn't be able to wipe out humanity unless there are an infinite number of them. They wouldn't even be able to survive for so long underground, what did they eat to survive. Did they cannibalize themselves for millions of years, if so then how come there are so many of them. Gotta have some suspension of disbelief for movies like these.

I just watched this movie, and missed two major things:
1. I didn't realize that the reverend had cut his tongue. I did think it was weird looking but completely missed this.
2. head butt at the end - I didn't realize he was copying his best friend's move until you said it.

I'm one of the loudest people in my family lol You can certainly adapt to not hearing sound and living in a world silent to you. Though the assumption that we're quiet is kind of funny, especially when we do make quite a bit of noise and it discombobulates people LUL
