I want to build my own subwoofer, with my son. Hopefully an 8". Weird question. Would you be able to get the parts together for purchase, and I can assemble it?
I have a pair of the M6 D4's in a sealed down-firing enclosure w/ 5/8" plexi face my son found on Offer Up I believe. Listed as "Free - Come get them out of my garage" Best free I ever spent on subs. Wired parallel to 1 ohm for the pair to an underrated 2k amp with solid electrical supply (stable at 180 amp load) in my SUV, was actually surprised by the output being in a sealed 2 ft/3 enclosure. Still running them until I finish the new sub enclosure and repair the front end damage from an idiot driving the wrong direction on the freeway...
@RobotUnderground yup that fucker they couldn't sell it and went out of business picked it up for $250 and since I was working for an audio shop after high-school they made me take all the planet audio out and they gave me full alpine type R each model that came out I would pay $50 bucks i was running a single 10 sealed tucked and hidden with the digital 1/ 3 /5 ch digital alpine amp with type r components up front that's it. Crx is a 2 seater i really just needed front stage i loved it. They kept trying to push me to jl w7 and I just wasn't a fan and I wasn't going to fork over 200 to for the sub and a used jl amp. Don't get me wrong they had a van and that was loud but come on i want the music for me not the neighbors and parking lots the type r was more than plenty for me iv never had one blow just 1gen unglued and expoy it and put a bunch of clamps it was only 3in section then i got hmr roll grab that one free was supposed to turn in the 1st gen never did and got 3rd gen then they stopped car audio and I was doing restaurants and in home flush mounted speakers in the ceiling. Called it quits and went to work for honda
@@RobotUnderground that was a big bitch holy shit that thing required a huge box i sold it to my buddy he was over seas for our nation so I held it for him they gave me the enclosure and the amp for it for an extra 150 it was all under the table the sales guy just pocketed the money he got back me and my gf at the time bought it as a gift for him and he bought a mazda speed 3 and the enclosure wouldn't fit unless he had the seat down but personally I think it could have used a smaller enclosure but that was a "diamond audio" specific box it was engraved and diamond audio "dynamat" inside with bracing what not, shit was loud specially for a compact 5 seater hatchback but I kinda killed his mojo when he heard my system and couldn't find the sub or amp lol
It just hit me funny for some reason. I guess it’s because Edge/Recoil doesn’t produce anything on their own. It’s the build house that make them. Maybe Larry helped in the design of the Diamond subs. Cheers!!!!
Can you comment on any experience you have had with European drivers from companies like SEAS or SCANSPEAK? Seems as if these drivers are expensive but offer a substantial amount of quality and durability over some other brands...
Yeah they're all the same but sometimes they will use a weird size like 7-in in order to make it proprietary so that you have to buy their driver over again. Again nothing magic and most of that stuff is made in China anyway even if it's designed in Norway or Sweden or whatever
I remember i got one of those Diamond D7 4ch amps from you YEARS ago. Loved that amp
Im a fan of those go fast rings
Your a good dude bro
I appreciate that. Tell it to the prosecutors

I've been looking for hx2 12s gaskets. And I've seen quite a few people put screws right through them.
Yup
Didn’t Edge/Recoil make these way back in the 90s?
😂😂😂😂
@@curbowbass6124 what’s funny? Patrick talked about it in one of his old videos that Edge/Recoil made a ton of stuff for Diamond Audio.

@@curbowbass6124 Edge IS the build house. Recoil is one of their brands. Cicada also.
