I have to admit i used to watch your videos along time ago then i switched from Photoshop to Affinity photo...i came back to photoshop and wow i didnt realize how much i missed it and your videos. Its good to be back. Thanks
Thank you for this mind-blowing tutorial. Never had I found that adjusting fill instead of opacity would make the blending so smooth. Looking forward to seeing more videos made by you.
I just finished going through your Beyond Color: Exploring Gradients Course, so have been going back to look at some of your previous gradients videos. It was an awesome course and opened my eyes to a PS tool that I have not really used before. I have already put it to use to bring out some pop in a lakeside sunset photo and now am looking at my editing in a different way. Keep up the great work!
Bro, you got me to subscribe to your channel. It was my first time hearing about this type of gradient use and I am eager to explore this on my portrait photography! Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much).
Hello Blake. Thank you for posting this intense video about blending. Actually so much information it gave me a headache. But will watch again and again to get it down. Your videos are the best.
There you are.... shining brilliantly in the galaxy of photoshop tutors. Thank you. As a matter of interest, just how many hours of your day do you devote to Photoshop?
I put this to use right after viewing! It was just what I needed to focus the attention on some details of an antique Thunderbird! I'd share a .jpg if you want.
Great video yet again Blake. I look forward to them and try them on my photos each time. I am going back through your videos as I am learning more about photoshop. I really appreciate all you do. Cheers.
Hi Blake, love this effect for portraits. Another tool in the belt to complement vignetting effects. Thanks for the tutorial, very well executed at always.
@@f64Academy looks like you're stuck with me now! I've subscribed to your channel and will be working my way through your previous videos and eagerly waiting for your new ones. Thanks again - take care!
Oh one thing I wanted to mention. I did a radial gradient zwhile back to add in a "sun-like increase in light" (going from a nice orange to yellow as it spreads out) to brighten up areas, and place where i want it. What i noticed though was that if i crop an image at all, before working on the action, the gradient won't work because the action isn't to a full size image. The redial gradient will be small and cut off. But on full sized images it works as intended.
There's a box inside the gradient that says align with image or something like that. If you crop after using one take a look at that check box and toggle it to see if it makes a difference.
Hey Blake! It is a nice trick. Even more, if you using RADIAL Style in a gradient filter. It is like using extra light on pictures. So many possibilities... Thanks for all your work and ideas. My favorite channel on YouTub.
Oh yeah! I use that all the time in my critique sessions too. I have several videos on that on YT too. Not many people use the reflected gradient though, that's why I spent the whole focus on this one.
Thanks again, Blake, I knew about this from your courses, but there's nothing wrong with repetition, right? And don't let the trolls get to you. You can never do it right for them. You've got enough fans that really like what your're doing. One of them is me.
