For about 20 years ago my lovely brother has died dressed with a shirt of machine head . It was on a car accident.... He was an huge fan and i will never forget this band for my entire life .
Sorry... I can’t imagine losing my brother, he’s my best friend and I am his. If I lost my life back in the day 20 years ago I’d probably be wearing a Pantera or Machine Head shirt too. So sorry for your loss... Breaks my heart, I can’t imagine how painful that is.
Sorry to hear. Much love ❤️
I know it's been 4 years forgive my tardiness my deepest prayers to you and your family
Losing a brother sucks. I lost one in 2005. I still miss him every day and am still overwhelmed with grief some days. My thoughts are with you. I was at this concert so I hope my brother was with me. He would have loved it.
Dudes were around 50 when they played this show with 22 tracks in 2015. Simply wow.
They've been playing long ass sets for the couple last years, it's really respectable to see them pull it off.
You also have guys in dream theater who are in there mid 50s almost 60 playing sets that are 3hours possibly even 4 hours long now, and they’ve been playing 2 hour sets around the time train of thought came out in the early 2000s so they’ve been doing that for a while,
I saw them a few months ago in a small club in Baltimore and they played for 3 hours straight it was insane especially since I was in the pit for 2 hours out of their set
I think the main reason is that Robb has amazing vocal technique, and can actually keep it up fr that long and still sound good.
Saw them Yesterday in Munich. Played 3hrs+... Insanity
Props to whoever mixed this, the sound is incredible
That's me crowd surfing at the 17:45 mark, i finally made it onto a live album, bucket list item achieved
Haha, nice one :D
BRAVO !!
Mine is when I met them. I fucking literally choked up meeting Robb.
@@fragilefilter That 's not as cool as crowd surfing in an official live video now is it?
@@taxi14n When one gets to meet a person that has had a significant impact on their lives, then yes its better than being caught crowd surfing on an official video. ;)
That drummer is so underrated it's criminal he don't get more accolades
I'm not saying he wasn't am I all I'm saying is the current drummer is underrated
Thunderbird that exactly what i mean chap
Thunder Bird ..LOL!!.."DAVE MCCLAIN IS FUCKING AMAZZZING LIVE"!!!!..HES THE TOP 5 DRUMMERS OF THE WORLD!!😈😈
Machine Head as a band has always been brutally underappreciated. The fact that they are able to write ten-minute-long songs without making them sounding boring to listen to is a true testament to their music skills.
EgocentricHead FUCKEN AMAZZZING!!!!!😈😈😈😈😈...THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD THAT SOUND SO PERFECT LIVE#!...I THOUGHT METTALICA WAS GOOD...LOL....FUCK NOOO!!!😈😈..THESE GUYS KILL THEM IN SO MANY WAYS!!!..SO MUCH MORE TALENT & ENERGY!!
Such a bad ass show. I miss shows like this where the whole band is putting in 100% the whole time and the vocalist knows how to command the crowd to put in 100% in return.
nobody else is doing half the show they do. well no one has been doing shit. but you know...
Whatever your personal opinions on Robb Flynn are, you gotta admit Machine Head is and always was a killer live band! They were really one of the best bands to come out that dark period in the 90s where American metal was on life support. They have had their ups and downs like all bands, but when Machine Head brings it, they can execute with the finest!
Everyone can f*ck thier opinions, if they are still alive and killing it. I love every show and will never stop support the band.
Brilliant comment dude.
Concert without phones! This is miracle!
Using phones would have made no sense, they were recording the show in pro shot
that usually doesn't prevent people from doing it anyway. my guess is they were STRICTLY forbidden to use phones in any way, i've seen this happen at other concerts where dvds were being filmed. also, if people would have filmed this show and put it on youtube, it would expose how much of this material is re-recorded in the studio, because they never sound this tight at all (and in some shots it's just right there in your face, obvious). anyway, i don't mind much, they're still a good live band.
Nope, phones weren't forbidden -- Robb quipped something at the beginning of Locust that people should put their phones down and live in the moment, but that was it. I think most folks knew that the show was being recorded, plus the crowd was pretty nuts the entire time so holding one's phone up would have been a great way to get knocked over :p
Citation: I was at this show, one of the best concerts I've seen in my life. Really glad the footage was finally released.
Watch any Bloodstock Open Air vid
"Without phones"??? Are you crazy???🤦♂️
The drummer is amazing.
I agree, Dave McClain is awesome, and fun fact: he was born in Germany and actually spent the first two years of his life living there.
@@metfan4l sadly left the band with Phil :(
He rejoined Sacred Reich....fuck yes!
Alex May rip
Dave is most definitely a solid drummer. He'll never have to worry about being unemployed. I'll give you another severely underrated drummer: Brann Dailor from Mastodon. I saw MH open for them years ago (that concert turned me on to MH).
I love venues like these. Absolutely amazing! Machine Head is fucking bad ass. Stopped following couple of years ago when Phil and Dave left, but still, one of the best bands out there, and Rob Flynn is amazing vocalist and guitarist, real frontman. He’s ego probably got in the way of continuing with those guys, but like I said, absolutely crazy band!
The best line up they had in the past 5 years
Probs to the soundguy... This sounds fucking awsome
It sounds insane. Can we get a live album of this? Maybe there is, gotta look. Imagine bumping this in your car with a decent sound system not just plain old TV speakers.
yeah he's got this shit dialed in. but give it up to Robert and Crew jamming their ass off.
one of my favorite concerts....I'm in haven...THANK U SO MUCH! Greetings from Russia!
Wow. Robb is such a professional. Hits all his notes, doesnt miss a single lyric, and all while getting the crowd involved at every step of the way. An incredible musician and incredible front man.
Machinehead was my first concert when I was 15 years old. 20 years later, they are still my very favorite band. I saw the video on Instagram where Robb said that the guys quit on that previous Wednesday night. I about fell out of my chair in shock. Super happy they all agreed to do the last tour.
Maybe, JUST MAYBE, they will fall in love all over again. Or, all of us fans create a Hollywood style movie plot hijinx to secretly get them back together. We just need a set of twins, a series of ingenious pranks, a little luck and a whole lot of love.
THUMBS UP IF YOU'RE WITH ME!
My first band live was also my favorite band Machine Head, but I was 12.
Well, they never broke up.
Rob Flynn can occasionally say some pretty unsavoury things in the media/social media, but fark man, he does some pretty slick guitar playing, while singing. This is the end is pretty gnarly to have to play and sing. And sure, there's a few errors here and there, but I appreciate that it's all left in the DVD. Respect. EDIT: Also Jared's vocals are extremely legit.
Also necessary to notice that he is pretty good as showman and singer/screamer. At least he was before he started loosing it
What, do you not agree with his political views, cause if so... Yikes.
@@Martmovie loosing it?, you mean using his voice to say fuck Trump and racists? The fuck are you talking about?
@@MermaidButter u nuts? im saying that his singing/screaming vocals are getting worse in time, rob in 2020 faces no comparison to rob in 2009
Chris MermaidButter joe Biden votes against desegregation. Always remember that when you shit talk the orange guy. They’ve played you well
MY WIFE AND I LIVE IN NEW ZEALAND, AND WE WER THER FOR THIS!!! FUCKING EPIC
hopefully in september they'll still be able to come! i got my ticket in lockdown in pure hope that they'll be able to keep the gig!
@@chard0ss 🤘😎🤘
Machine Head is awesome. I saw them a couple times touring with Pantera, just a great team up. Both excellent performances. I miss Pantera... I gotta see Machine Head again, they kick ass.
I've been watching this concert over and over again and I just got to say:
1 What a great band is Machine Head.
2 Jared is a beast on bass. Great addition.
3. Still hard for me to get used not to watch Phil Demmel with the band.
🤟🏿
I saw them right before the shut down in Oakland at the Fox Theater. New guitar player is legit. Plus they brought back their original guitar player and drummer and played Burn My Eyes straight thru. The show was 3.25 hours with only a 10 minute break. Always worth the price of admission.
@@cotati76 holy shit that sounds awesome, were robs vocals still like this?
I just heard they are calling it quits, went back here just to remember how amazing this band truly is
Damn, just read the news as well, that kinda sucks :( Never got to see them live...
Same here.
Not calling it quits just yet, guys - just losing Phil and Dave. I feel the same, though - haven't seen them live yet, so hopefully we'll all get to before that time does come.
they said they're going to finish out this tour before they part ways
That was just a misunderstanding - Robb cleared that up the following day.
San Francisco is so cool. Visited once, unforgettable
I didn't saw anyone that having this kind of stage strength. Such a powerful band. Start to the end directly no breaks or no knockouts. This is what metal musician should become on stage.A total badass beast is rob flynn.Hats off one to the greatest frontmans in metal history.
Eddie Van Halen created the nastiest amp of all time. Those 5150s are brutal!
Did they both use the 5150?
Is that what they are using now? They are dope, great tone. I bet if Dimebag was still with us he’d be using them too. Gojira uses the EVH amps sounds great. Awesome tone.
It's all about what sound you are chasing. I wouldn't part with my EVH for anything, but i still lust after a Mesa Boogie because there are certain tones that each amp provides. Gets expensive lol
Ed was a Dude!!!! ❤
Damn, this live is so cool. All the best songs from every album. 😨
Hear the background before descend..."i need an icepack for my face, somebody got on stage and stage dived on my face, I want an EMT, and an icepack for my face"
the harmony in Descend... man i've been saying it and i'll say it again - Machine Head might be the best metal band ever
They’re damn close. The only bands that beat them for me are Metallica and Slipknot. Maybe Trivium on a good day.
Omfg the iintro for Beautiful Mourning literally makes me implode with excitement everytime :))))))
take a drink every time he sez SAN FRANCISCOOO!
my favourite live band EVER. Had many great nights in Manchester u.k. I'm going to miss them times.
Its really remarkable how good they are in lives !Almost 25 years band and they are still top level (music-skills-perfomance)!
@metfan41
Boss! Appreciate the upload 🤘🏼
One of the best livebands of all time. Hands down.
Just getting into MH. Damn I can’t get enough of this shit. These guys are fucking awesome. Just fucking awesome.
They was in Adelaide last night. Thought they couldn’t live up to this performance but the smashed it. 3 hours of brutality. Dave with a drum solo, Phil’s solo and everything in between. Amazing. Long live machine head and long live metal!!
Thunder Bird not when you live in Australia and bands like this come down only once every 3-4 years
Long life MACHINE HEAD... R.i.p PANTERA!!!
Best live band ever...saw them 6 times
Ic sh!t... Period
hell of a performance.
The best live band ever
Now thats how you do a show. Best Live band ever
Don't all front men do that though with the crowds
The sound is ... AMAZING
Im from NZ and i was there! Epic night
Man I freaking love it, Machine Head forevah!
So glad to see to see ya next year in HANNOVER GERMANY!!! MACHINE fkn HEAD!
Probably the best in the scene right now

Yeah, the Nu Metal scene was never that great tbf
MetalForTheMasses lol nu metal they have been playing since 91 they are far from it
More things change? Burn my eyes? Definitely not "nu metal" ...poser
Amazing....many thanks for the upload!!
Порадовал концерт. Соло из descent the shadows... вообще отлично отыграно. Чётко. Браво, головоломка)
Very heavy !! Fantastic! Brutal performance
Robb is a legendary frontman i wish i saw them live!
I have watched this at least 20 times. Yay unlimited mobile data!
Greatt band and great music, lovin it!
It reminds me so much the show in Reims (France). It had been cancelled because of Robb's illness but it was finally scheduled in a later date. Great memories of this show. Thanks to MH !!!
Rob Flynn still kickin' ass!!!
The live tour with Kontos, Mader is going to crush. All of BME plus new members coming out. Very much excited to see the next years of MH!! FAN SINCE HIGH SCHOOL 92-96.
Robert leaves everything on that Goddamn stage. Rock on my low tuned beast. thanks for the upload. steel nuts tight🤘🔥🔥🤘
This is sick, thanks Triple M. Shame Trivium don't have anything in this quality.
I agree, a proper live dvd with their current line-up would be awesome to see!
@@metfan4l It´s a shame really, never understood why they never done it. They recorded one show during the Vengeance Falls tour in UK but then they just gave it up.
In the end it always comes down to money, would be my guess.
I remember an interview with Burton and Dino from Fear Factory where they were being asked why the band hasn't done a live dvd and they just basically said their management told them in this day and age where you can find a 1000 different live clips on UA-cam it doesn't make any financial sense to pump money into a professional dvd production unless you can guarantee a lot of sales.
@@metfan4l true. Well, maybe in the near future with a new album like the metallica box sets, something cool and special
metfan4l The way I see it though, if a band has great recordings of their live performances (like this), some people might decide go to see an actual live show because of how awesome it looks
Great performance, love the band!
Music beautiful...good
Amazing setlist
They sound so fucking great live, I want to go see them so bad.
The sound is always super clean and loud. . I was at this show and every show they play in the Bay. My ears are never ringing afterwards.
Saw them on this tour in Orlando. What a time to see them.
That soundz amazing hell good live
I was at this show and every show they play here in the Bay Area. Saw them this last February before the shutdown. I highly recommend going. The Oakland show was my GFs first metal show and loved it. Weird that we are in our 40’s and it was her first metal show but it was and she loved it.
In the best forever
Always a great live band, seen them twice!!
This was bad ass I would see them I like them my man got me liking this band it's sick af ❤
Wow. They sound AMAZING live. I had tickets to see them on this tour but they cancelled a few dates (one of which was the show in my town) and I'm sooooo sad I missed the chance to see this.
This is mixed so well, everything sounds amazing!
Fantastic band!
Amazing mix, so heavy
AMAZZZING PERFORMANCE!!!
#LEGENDS!!!!..GODS OF "TRUE METAL OF THIS PLANET"!!! NOBODY COMES CLOSE TODAY!! TRENDS AND FAKES WILL FADE!!!
BUT \MACHINE-HEAD/!!! ARE FOREVER!!!!!😈😈😈😈😈

Wow... what a mighty sound these guys have
IM FROM NEWZELAND
I WAS THERE THAT NIGHT!!
Incredible....
I seen these cats in Cleveland Ohio back ib 99 at the odium! There second album with exhale the vile!. The burning red i think? I love machine head back in the day baby!
If you ain’t satisfied with this ya never will be. If you’re finding room for improvement instead of sheer inspiration and awe then it’s time to make big changes within yourself, cos the world ain’t gonna change, you can only change yourself, and you better.....because this....motherfuckers....is as good as it ever fuckin gets!!!
I saw this show in Brazil, was amazing.
Congratulations
Macclain is a fucking killer drummer🔥🤘🏿🔥🤘🏿
I saw them in Frankfurt Germany in 2015, was an awesome show
Thank you. From Brazil
Estava loco pra ver esse show. Machine Head sempre foda.
Ouvir este enorme concerto com os headphones é simplesmente fantástico... Machine Head 4ever
Epic show.
Omg you guys killed it! Wish I was there 😍😍
Mariecha me too . . .
Damn good show!!!
I’ve been to almost all their shoes in the Bay Area. They are all phenomenal. Their last show in Oakland was great but the recorded sound quality isn’t as good as this one. I jam it on my car stereo and it sounds great. Their tickets aren’t that expensive either.
Great performance. Thanks.... BULLDOZER my favorite
Yup, they still got it.
this is awesome concert,, thanks triple M
Respect MH ! Robb is the BEST! Two hours of pozitive
What energetic live performance 🤘🤘🤘fallen love with their sounds...
Underrated 90s metal band
Was für eine Wahnsinns Live Show !
I am not a fan of MH but this was a good performance and the crowd was great. Very much into it. Good stuff.
Lou Kola they're wicked live, dude. And their crowds are great also !

The blackening.....locust........bloodstone n diamonds.....ths triad folld by catharsis.....damn watever happened
That's what can happen when bands try to change stuff to avoid getting stale. Sometimes it's workes, sometimes it doesn't. This is the latter case, let's just hope, that the next one is better.
But hey, I like Volatile, so that's something I got out of that trainwreck.
technically you can go an album further back, Through the ashes of empires was a beast too. In fact All of Machine heads albums have been good to fucking incredible...Catharsis...well..the title track is good....the rest is just total trash
Not being funny lads, but Metallica didn’t become Metallica by trying to remake master of puppets over and over and I’m fully ready for the “ st anger was shut, death magnetic was shit and bla bla loaf/reload bla everything after and justice is garbage “
Cool, still the biggest metal band in the world 👍
@@beariath i get what you are saying, but when half your band mates quit the band because they do not like where the lead singer (Robb) is taking their music, that is saying something.....
