Avery Pohl is an extremely talented young actress and has been doing a phenomenal job playing Esme. It can sometimes be hard playing a character like Esme, because people tend to project their feelings for the character onto their portrayer. So kudos to Avery all around.
I won't be completely happy with this hook storyline until they address the huge hole that's in the center of it. The hook killings have been going on since last summer but Heather has only discovered that she is Esme's Mom within the last couple of months, so why was she going around killing Esme's enemies before that? It's lazy writing if they don't explain this soon....

Not gonna lie, I kinda wished Mac would have used excessive force when dealing with Ryan. I was expecting Ryan to give one last jump scare before dying.
This may not be Heather’s first grandchild. We learned a while back that Kim now has a son named Andy. She says that Julian is the father but I think Franco, Heather’s deceased son, is the father. Kim wanted another child after Oscar died but wanted Drew to be the father. Some twisted idea of hers to recreate Oscar but Drew wanted no part of it. Then when Drew’s memory was implanted into Franco’s brain making him think he was Drew, Kim became attracted to him and they made love. Kim really felt like she had Drew back. Now she has a son named Andy. Andy and Drew are both short for Andrew. I think that should tell us something. Kim probably doesn’t want the truth to come out so since she had a history with Julian, she says he’s the father. But Julian met Andy and expressed no suspicion that he could be the father so I doubt he was. I think Andy is Franco’s son which makes him Heather and Scott’s grandson.
Congratulations Esme on the birth of your son! I know that it was quite stressful, but if it's any consolation I was in a similar situation when Wiley was born. I went into labor shortly after I was in a car accident (which my boyfriend caused) and I gave birth in the middle of the woods with the help of my great aunt Liesl (who I didn't know was my aunt at the time). I know that there are a lot of people who will insist that you're an unfit mother and try to take your baby away from you, but they're wrong; I know you'll be an excellent mother! 😊
