Great stuff Phil. Love all your videos. Can you tell me the price of your Pro Singer's Vault course? The price is not listed on your web site.

Hi Phil, your mixed voice video really helped me. The only problem I have is, I'm straining a lot and i don't have vibrato. I really want to sing like Bruce Dickinson. Do you have any tips.

You need a proper SYSTEM that can walk you through how to build your voice up to this kind of singing, not tips!

Hi Phil, I have some questions: Is 1 year the average amount of time to be able to sing well? Have you ever taught anyone that took more than a year? And if I study for 1 year, how much should I pay?

It really depends on what your starting position is. For people who already have some singing skill but are lacking things like vocal range, stability, consistency etc usually takes under a year with me to dramatically improve those things. For those who are starting from scratch it takes maybe 2-3 years. The first year is usually spent building the technical things like vocal range, power, volume control, stability and not so much the artistic side. For example you might find you have way more control and range but maybe you don't sound the way you want to sound or can't apply it on all the songs you want. The 2nd year is where those things would be solved. After that then the time is spent more on developing yourself artistically and that is more of an open ended thing. The best way to learn is through my guided program, it walks you through all the techniques and how to do them and train them the right way. You can learn more on my website.

Hi Phil in this video here: ua-cam.com/video/tFkQCCoAqVk/v-deo.html
You talk about how the speaking voice can be retrained and can be used to warm up the voice? I have problems using my speaking voice as it seems very low in my range and hurts my throat after a while. Do you mind please making a video on how to talk heathily and how to use it to warm up for singing? Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not sure when I'll make a video like this here on YT but this is something I go into great detail in my paid program THE PRO SINGER'S VAULT. The way I deal with the speaking voice is you need to have a grasp on PROPER compression in your upper midrange first in singing like say F4 area.
Then once that is stable and reliable, I have singers hold that compression and gradually take it lower and as you go lower you make it more delicate and subtle. As you get into your lower range you'll find it isn't 100% collapsed like how most people talk. There's still a bit of grip/hold but more subtle than in the upper range.
For this reason it is easier to find it higher than lower because the sensation stands out more higher. Where most people go wrong with speaking is they either just speak 100% collapsed or if they try to add the proper compression they do it from too high of a larynx position which makes the voice over squeeze in the low range.
I have an entire process for building this into the voice that I cover in my program.
