Good choice of van, their to underrated. Had mine 18 months and no probs at all. Nice job you two did on conversion. You talk like you know a lot about wood wish I did very handy when doing conversion, best of luck on your travels.
Roger Faulkner thanks. They’re definitely underrated, but that means they’re well priced too. No frills or mod cons but run really well.....so far anyway. We’re really happy with it 👍
What kind of flaws does the 2004 convoy 90hp have, I have one I enjoy it but it's at 53k Miles bought it 6months ago and have had to change the flywheel and clutch, back brakes, left wheel bearing has been giving a lot of trouble so likely needs a who new hub and axle,.abs etc, the ignition barrel got stuck so that needs to be fixed, the air blew it's fuse and now after replacing only blows out cold so debating if it's a few bits to spend money on and then it will be right or if it will be a money pit 🤔 great for lack of rust to must have been stored indoors any insight greatly appreciated
I've not had any really bad problems with mine, just done 100,000 miles If it hasn't got any visual rust that's really good, the heater is easy fix it's cable controlled which can cease if you look at the bottom of the controll panel near floor you can see lever and move it by hand. The price these vans are fetching now it's definitely worth keeping.
Love this conversion, and your video., (can I just make a plea for the next one that you subdue the background music a bit more as it made it difficult for us oldies to hear what you were telling us)

Quick Update: Over the summer my wife and I took the LDV on a two month tour round Europe, visiting Denmark, Holland, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Italy, France, England and Wales. Sorry for the late reply. The van has done a fantastic job. Spent two months living in it over summer. Took it all the way down to Dubrovnik and back (over the Austrian alps en route) and the only problem we had was needing to get the indicator relay replaced. Really pleased with how well it ran.
@@johnmetrac2898 We were looking at VW or Merc and glad we didn't now. So unreliable on longer journeys. Injector issues. LDV not a speed merchant but why would you need it to be?
@@BallisticBurns are you having a laugh the vw pd engine in the transporter can do hundreds of thousands of miles very reliable ( the Ldv is like a old tractor 🚜🤣🤣

How long is that bed bud? I'm 6ft 1 and looking at putting ours width ways.
