I just watched him singing at 12, it’s amazing how he blossomed into a beautiful baritone. I personally love deeper voices so his voice is heavenly to me. So smooth and soothing.❤
Wonderful to watch you grow up and cultivate this extraordinary talent. So pleased to see you so healthy as well as gifted. Managing this magnificent talent while at such a changing time of life must be difficult. You are in my prayers. Best wishes.
Very enjoyable Cai, you have a wonderful and smooth voice that has almost reached its maturity. I could listen to you sing all day and hope that maybe there will be a chance of another album in the near future with a couple of tracks singing a duet with your younger self, or with Freddie. 👏👏👏👍👍👍
A future world class in the making, well done keep up the excellent work, nothing like wonderful music ,Opera/all those wonderful great Choral works all with. in the reach Cai.
More, please! I check back as often as I can. Just listened to Julie Fuchs performing Laudate Dominum at the reopening of Notre Dame and thought of you. Please post something recent.
I hoped you would do this with some of your beautiful and atmospheric classical songs from your outstanding treble album 'Seren', Caì,and I am so thrilled to hear this lovely recording .Your voice is so strong now. .Every performance video you put out shows great vocal and expressive progress. ❤
Funny that his old treble Suo Gan came up on my feed the other night. So good to hear him now as a fine baritone. Hope someday to see him at Opera Santa Fe where we go every year or somewhere else. I am sure he will have a fine career.
Great to see and hear you again, getting acquainted with voice change has to be an interesting experience for you. With a bit of age and your great musicianship it will be a pleasure to watch your beautiful baritone develop but it would be even better to hear you a capella without any accompanist to overwhelm your voice.
Thats actually incorrect, as you can see the piano lid is closed and the pianist is playing at a normal volume. the problem is Cai, He is not projecting enough, which means you cannot hear him over the piano as you can see the recording is done closer to Cai then the piano so he should be louder as well. But it is still good to see him singing again and going through this teen transition.
@@theorangebanana11it’s nothing to do with how much cai is projecting. It is to do with the iphone mic and it picks up the piano more clearly than his voice. When i record my singing i have the same problem but has nothing to do with how loud i am actually singing
@@theorangebanana11 Projection is such a silly term. You don't want to project sound, you want to fill the space all around. That comes from having resonance in the voice before it leaves you. Going from a young soprano to a still-young baritone he has not yet grown into his still-developing adult resonance. At least he is not pushing to make a sound that is past his current abilities. There are some techniques to achieve that resonance that would serve him well, but that's between him and his voice teacher. They're both doing a great job.

Even with a phone you can get better balance. Just need to place the piano off axis. Had you been on the left looking towards Cai, the piano would have been in a much leader part of the microphone, and thus balance would be better. Not sure it would resolve the issue, but worth a try.

Hi. Unfortunately there’s not much we can do about this when recording on a phone. The pianist played the accompaniment very well and it only comes across too loud in the recording and not in real life. I hope to record some more pieces and to record them with better sound and picture quality. Thank you for watching this though 😊

Agree. To fund good accompanists is rare. Plus who is recording doesn't think to move the singer away from the piano. Really horrible recording and did no justice to the boy's lovely voice.
Thank you CAI. Your bariton voice is beautiful. You stil singing very well. Wish you the best.
Excellent vocal work, Cai, despite the overbearing accompaniment. Bravo Sir!

once again the piano is far too loud. I wanted to hear Cai singing, not being drowned out by the piano. Keep going Cai you have a beautiful voice.
Completely agree. The piano is awful.
This is a UA-cam problem apparently. I see it in many accompanist videos all of whom say it didn't sound that way live.
