Oh Filipe, as an accompanist for many, many years, I have played this song hundreds of times. I honestly don’t think I’ve heard it more beautifully sung than your performance here (this piece is a total 180 from your equally impressive O mes amis!). Bravo. You’re totally on track vocally. I can’t say that about many tenors I’ve heard these days. Wishing you great success. Be patient and safe during this trying time of covid. You got time on your side. Peace...
No matter who sings this, I always tear up on I lose it on the words “golden king up fields” and “this close-companioned inarticulate hour” That said, 😢for my heart, this is the best rendition.
Filipe, your voice sends shivers down my old spine. This is the first time I have heard you sing an English Art Song and I am blown away by the exquisite precision of your diction. It puts me in mind of Phillip Langridge whose Finzi "Dies Natalis" is a wonder.Actually that would suit you.. But most of all I am sold on how your beautiful clear tone and considerable technical skill are humble in the service of the song. That's rarer than nifo koula in chooks! Stay that way as you become a megastar! Too many of our colleagues are so far up their own C6's that they forget why they started singing in the first place. Toi Toi and God Bless! xpp
Filipe, I don't follow classical music that closely so I don't know " who's who" but I know that if you aren't already famous you surely should be. I have never heard anything so rhapsodically beautiful in all my 64 years. Thank you for a flawless and heartfelt rendition of a perfect song.
I love the idea that opera is a global “sport” with people from so many different ethnicities and background. As an African American I can’t get enough of seeing people of color on the opera stage. That is of course if they’re talented! And this guy fits the bill!
How lovely! Poet, composer, pianist and singer all come together so beautifully.

Absolutely stunning.
Stunning Filipe. It is so good to hear the development of your lovely voice and growing interpretive skills. How must you sound now....?
I hadn't heard this particular piece before. Very well sung, thoughtful approach with a warm open sound.
