- The Windmills of Your Mind. A song with music by French composer Michel Legrand, English lyrics written by American lyricists Alan & Marilyn Bergman. The music was composed sometime around 1968, and the lyrics came afterwards...but the song (with English lyrics) was introduced in the 1968 film, The Thomas Crown Affair, and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song. French lyrics, under the title, "Les Moulins de Mon Coeur", were later written by Eddy Marnay.
