Do you think you might ever give a demonstration on how to make a makersmark ? I figure it’s not too hard but would be cool if you showed us maybe on a youtube short or something ? Thanks and keep up the amazing work !
I have a ceramics class today and I am totally putting this on while I wedge
As someone that is completely new to watching your videos they are amazing and I am binge watching them.
I am totally surprised at the amount of clay you take off the pieces. Beautiful work so much work to create something so breathtaking beautiful

What I do is I'll wedge up a big piece of clay and then I'll roll it out into a cylinder the thickness depends on how much I'm cutting off of each chunk but then I take a pastry scraper and just chop it all the way down the line to really super fast and after a couple of times doing it that way you know exactly how much to cut just by looking at it
A pastry scraper actually looks like something you would apply drywall mud with LOL I guess you could use one of those too
👍
How to make this clay
Beautiful stuff there! Trimming tool at 13:25 is??? Sure would love to know the tool you like to use.
I believe it is a Bison Heavy Duty Series Hook Tool "7 Shape" with 90 degree tip. I have a couple of Bison tools, neither is the one you are asking about though.
@@pasajecolon5168 Thank you kindly!!!!! What are the other tools you recommend that you have Pasaje? I still work with all these cheap kits.
@@Marcdrichter I have to admit that I enjoy making my own pottery tools using worn out hacksaw and reciprocating saw blades, I also have made tools using shipping metal strap. Check this Hsinchuen Lin's video ua-cam.com/video/Glk9aR7XY3U/v-deo.html if making your own is something that may interest you. Hsinchuen Lin does beautiful trimming and chattering using tools he made out of hacksaw blades. The key is having sharp tools. Decide which of the inexpensive tools you really like and get better quality ones, Bison if money is not an object, they are beautifully made and very sharp.
Are you from the uk?
I wanna ask are you doing it because its a hobby or is it like a job?

This is the version without narration, the other one has myself speaking over it. Some people seem to prefer the simple sounds from the studio and the process of the pots being made as opposed to my voice droning on and on 😬
10:54 is it Korean?
