- Holden has had this 2012 GTI for several years. Over that time he has done many mods including intake, exhaust, an APR stage 2 tune, Vorsteiner lightweight wheels and lots of tasty carbon fiber bits.
If you're a GTI fan you should check out this awesome mint MK1! ua-cam.com/video/Hne3FhdBYc0/v-deo.html
MK6 is one of the best looking GTI, the car holds its own well 11 years on it
Very good and insightful video, his GTI is super clean!
Purchased a 2013 manual GTI new. No leather. I think that tartan plaid interior was too cool not to get. Two door CSGM and still all stock. I love everything about it. I still smile every time I get in and sit behind the wheel.
This review format is amazing. Release more like this please, it's so satisfying to watch
Thanks! We're working on cranking out a ton in 2021. (Really didn't mean for that to rhyme)
Love those rims...have a mk7 in the navy blue color and i feel like theyd fit so well!
Nice video bud. Good commentary and no annoying shouting or stupid stuff. Ratings! Mk6 looks good
Thanks! It's all about the builds, the vehicle's owner and keeping it simple and subtle.
Glad I found this channel these videos are great. I like hearing the interview with the shots of the cars 👍
Great video! And that's a really nice MK6.
Wow this is a super clean MK6 GTI!
Love your car, just right. No kiddy stuff !
big fan of the vorsteiners
I can't believe APR stage 2 is only 250hp. I pulled 290hp 360tq with a custom dyno tune from a local guy.
What bolt ons?
@@ShamelessPicker eBay catless downpipe, ebay intake, arm motorsports intercooler, GFB DV+
I have stage 1+ with apr intake and its around 268 hp
This one makes a lot more power I think, my stage 1 mk6 GTi makes 265hp, so this one shut be above 300whp
@Benjamin Hamann easy Apr, revo, vrs, tdi box
@@BurritoSenor nah bud 300 hp stage 1? Impossible unless it's an edition 35
@@maxly501 easy 280+ tho I was saying like a rough figure
Nice ride very clean!
What’s the point of keeping it in the garage… just drive it until it stops running and have fun
See that’s why they call you about your cars extended warranty, He got his injectors fixed. Give them all your information
A car like that should be driven more!
Looks good.
Great video!
Great video.
clean build
It’s really the best car especially with the Deh transmission
I am surprised tuning did not void your warranty
It's a 2012 so the warranty has long been expired, but yeah If you tune it when new it can affect your warranty.
nice gti, I recently sold my mk6 jetta. I just made a video on it straight piped if you're interested in hearing it.
Nice
Wow, what a Beauty😍😍
Hey man what’s the colour code for this rims? I’ve been looking for the exact same ones
What year and color is your GTI? I have a 2012 Steel Grey and yours looks like the exact same color as mine
What issues do you face going stage one or even just getting a cold air intake , resonator delete and more ?
Have you had any problem with the intake manifold . ? How much dod it cost you to clean ot
Walnut blasting the valves is expensive at the dealer but can be done for alot less with some time and effort
Do you still have the car? Off so Joe many miles you have on it today?
What type of gas should I use for my mk6 gti(2012)?
Hey I only have 1 question for him, I’ve been planning to go stage 2 on my GTI but I daily drive mine and the only thing I’m worried about is has mileage, how has stage 2 affected his mpg?
Had apr stg2 on my mk6 gti and I was getting 34 mpg if I wasn't on it definitely well worth it if ur dsg I recommend u get the dsg tune
@@scottroberts5529 was the apr stage 2 rough on the clutch?
@@ethanbragg3769 nope car actually drives better than stock and the gearbox shifts alot smoother
If you’re manual a stage 2 clutch is something that’ll be worth it. It’ll also be the thing that’ll make you want to sell the car before you even really start modifying it. I hate transmissions.
My MK6 has 167,000 miles. I can I still tune up to stage 2? It’s completely stock.
Of course but will probably blow up
I had stage1 on my GTI, with custom exhaust. 265bhp & 430 Nm. It was allot more fun to drive then the stock GTI. I'd go for it, but I assume that at 170k miles, maintenance costs will start to pile up.
Does the 2012 year have problem with oil consumption and timing belt/chain?
Yes mine failed at 105,000
cringe when he said vw isnt on the same level as porsche... he does know vw owns them right? -_- id honestly take my gti over any of the porsche or most audis I've driven they're just not practical and these are much more fun to drive
Would you guys chose mk7 gti over mk6 gti ? Im in big dilema
I would go for any but they must be manual
@@123bretonisn't the DSG format the best in terms of performance?
@@123breton which one is more reliable as a first car?
Best mod is another daily
What exhaust? Sounds so deep👏🏾
He literally says it's a custom exhaust.
Did you have to roll your fenders to fit those wheels?
Based of how this build is, low mileage performance based, not stanced id say no.
How did you black out front logo?
What is the tire size on your gti?
types of the sportrims?
Do you have any of his social medias??
Dont you want to give me that car please.
Just found one at 69k miles for 12k going look tomorrow if anyone's on this video has thoughts
Mine is a mk6 gti at 71k miles right now, my third VW and forth car overall. Definitely the most fun car I have ever driven. My roommate owned a 2017 camero SS and a ecoboost mustang, I drove both of them multiple times and felt very underwhelmed by the experience. The gti is light and nimble and very quick through corners and turns, where as the camero and mustang were only fast in a straight line and felt awkward through the corners.
Did u get the GTI?
@@CourtneyKarl nah unfortunately sold before I could I make a move on it
@@ktdude1886 dangit!
what rims
What color code is that mk6?
Grey.
@@BurnedTrashcan 😂😂😂
