    Hey Michael can the lighting system be mounted differently instead of down lighting? Also can they be mounted on the rooftop facing upward?

      Mounted differently. Sure. We have a few types of track.
      Standard U track - for under soffit. The track can also be turned sideways to point outward.
      Canted track - has a tall back for soffits that have a pitch
      BZ Fat Track - os a back track when there is no soffit, like a pergola or some homes with crown molding.
      BG Flashing - is used together with standard track. Slide under a parapet cap and the lights shines down.
      MV Madhave Track - again tucks under a drip edge or parapet cap but shines at an angle rather than down or out.
      We don’t mount track on the roof or ridge line.

    Why not just get black wood screws, they go thrush aluminum lime nothing and you don't have to use nail polish to hide them.

      How easy are they to install if I go for DIY.

      @@dogralalu1 It all depends. Here is what I would advice having not seen your house. #1 - Are you OK up high on a ladder? Some homes are 1 story, others 2, 3 or 4 stories high. You need to be comfortable going up as high as your roofline. #2 - Do you understand basic wiring. It is low voltage, but you need to be able to understand basic wiring (ground, power, communication, directional flow) this includes cutting, crimping etc. #3 - Are you comfortable cutting aluminum? All of the track must be customized to your home. You need to be able to cut it so it looks clean. The better you cut the metal, the more professional the lights will look on your home. #4 - The rest is trouble shooting and coming up with ways to get from point A to point B. This could be crawling through an attic. It could be leaving a wire exposed on the outside of your home. It could be tucking a wire under a few shingles so it isn't visible. This could be running a wire inside a J channel of your siding or soffit. This could be getting some black track and customizing a cover over the wire. And the more complex your home, the harder the install. See www.jellyfishlighting.com/manual There is a section in there on cutting metal as well as info on wiring the system. If all that makes sense it might be OK for you to do. 95% of people I talk to about a DIY, as soon as I say ladder are out. Not for them. We keep a lot of people out of the ER with these lights.

    Buy yourself a microphone can barely hear you would be much more information if we get here what you're saying without all the noise in the background if you had a microphone just my opinion.

      Yea, thanks for the advice. These were not staged or planned videos. I just pulled out my phone and made it. I do realize the audio may be inadequate in some cases. I’ll keep the advice in mind and try to do better.

    How many feet of lighting can go on one run?

    • @JellyfishLighting-Michael
      @JellyfishLighting-Michael  Рік тому

      Hummm… somewhat complicated question. There are a few considerations.
      All lights powered off a single port. No other ports being used… 250’
      If you were to tie in power from a secondary power supply (somewhat complicated) and additional 250’. (500’ total) but there are considerations like the number and lengths of all the jumps on the line.
      You would want to talk to us before attempting this to ensure the wiring is correct.
