Awesome video thank you very much, I discovered this thanks to you some days ago. By the way I wanted to report that in the Drastic folder (v1.5 at moment of writing) there's a very handy pdf file with all the shortcuts and explaination to change various things, among those for example there is the possibility of changing the overlays on the fly, by just pressing Select+Y while in game (without the need of deleting them at all, since one of those is the all black one like in the video), or switch to full-screen mode by pressing Select+A, or back to the previous screen mode if repeated again. There are also shortcuts to switch to different stylus, or overclock/downclock by +/-50MHz so that you can rapidly see if there are really any changes, and many more things. Another final tip, you can always read this pdf or any other directly from the Miyoo Mini thanks to the pdf reader app of Onion OS
I find it simply amazing that the devs achieved this. I gotta be honest, personally I won't bother with playing DS games on my Miyoos. Apart from having a modded N3DSXL and a Steam Deck for that, I know myself well enough to be sure I won't be enjoying this if compromises are too big (stuttering and no good sound are big enough for me). It's still an amazing achievement from a technical point of view and I love following the progress on Reddit and Discord. It's also nice to see this in action so thank you very much for the video, especially since I probably won't do this on my own as stated. =)
Some games work really well, disgae because it s a turn base tactical rpg. But honestly, I tried mario kart ds and it run well enough to be enjoyed. it is a fun showcase of the hardware.

Edit 2: Turns out the battery was basically flat even though I hadn't used it much since its last full charge... Don't be like me guys... Hey, JW how you get the fake microphone to work. I've tried mapping it to a button, but it doesn't work even though it says it's mapped to that button in the DraStic Extra Controls menu. JW if it would be possible to post a tutorial of how that particular side of the DrasTic emulator works?
In that case, glad I’m not the only one. I have a hunch as to why. Note I’m not very tech savvy so I may be completely wrong. I have however noticed that all the controls have hot keys for a non-existent PC keyboard…except the fake microphone. It’s possible that, unless there is a way to change that, it might not have actually been programmed correctly into this emulator, and may therefore not be possible to fix. I hope I’m wrong though.

@@RetroBreezeYT Hello sir, thank you for replying. I'm using a sandisk ultra 64gb. It is formated to fat32, I even tried using the onion desktop tool but no sucess.
A lot of it comes down to emulation. For example, Dreamcast emulates better than Saturn in general because the Saturn's architecture was so complicated. There was full-speed, perfect Dreamcast before a working Saturn emulator existed. In terms of DS vs PS1, remember that the emulator is newer, especially on the Miyoo Mini, and that its pushing out two screens at once. I'm not sure whether the PS1 is more powerful, in fact I highly doubt that- do you have a source where you learned that?
Did this with one rom to test it yesterday and it worked and today I’ve been trying for hours to add more but with no luck it shows the rom is in the nds folder in .nds format. Exactly like the one that does work. But when I reboot the Miyouu the game isn’t there.
Are all your Roms from the same set/collection? Might be worth getting different ones to see if those work. Are they zipped or archived? .zip is fine but any other (.rar, .7z) won't work
@@RetroBreezeYT No I've extracted the zip those are in .nds format. I have tried ROMs from different sources as well. I copied the files over wifi (ftp) not sure if that corrupted the ROMs somehow but all other systems work only nds doesn't.

Could you please tell me the game you're playing at 0:10?
Rune Factory 3
please for th elove of god, show us how to get the cheats into Drastic on the miyoo mini plus, I have cheats in the folder but when I go to the "configure cheats" section on drastic menu, nothing pops up D:
I'm running to get my miyoo mini and following the directions before the video can finish.
Would it be possible to get VLC on the MIyoo Mini? I want to use it as a MP3 player be able to see the artist artwork. Should have come with Bluetoot too.
Not unless somebody ports it, which is incredibly unlikely. FFPlay should support audio formats, though I'm not sure how viable it is.
I have improved a lot GMU player tonight, now it displays covers from the mp3 or the jpg file in the folder. You’ll have just to enable it in Onion package manager app.
is it still possible? i cant even find 1.1, or im just looking in the wrong place.
How's Pokemon NDS games on the Miyoo Mini? Smooth? Bugs? Glitchy?
where do you find all the games to paste into the NDS file though? i just am confused on that part like where do i find the game files
You'll need to find the games yourself. Since they're copyrighted content, we can't tell you where to get them
how do you download the games in the first place, is there a website which you used ?
You have to find the games yourself. Nobody can tell you where to get them.
Windows wont let me put anything in it unless i format the card?
Where are all these game files I can't find them to drag over
I've just got one MM+ with no card since the internet recommended using a better brand. Sadly the onion installing is failing at 50% everytime and so for I haven't managed to make any game work on the stock backups from the internet. My firmware is already the latest one, pretty confusing.
What brand SD are you using? Is it formatted to FAT32?
@@RetroBreezeYT Hello sir, thank you for replying. I'm using a sandisk ultra 64gb. It is formated to fat32, I even tried using the onion desktop tool but no sucess.
Not sure if anyone can see this
Can you use Drastic with the base Myioo mini plus OS ?
has it been taken down or something i cant find it anywhere
Does the miyoo mini v2 play ds games like the plus?
Yes!
I don’t get how it can do ps1 but not nds like nds is a weaker console
NEVERMIND, I refreshed Roms on the device and they popped up whoops.
Still trips me up every time to this day!
здравствуйте напишите пожалуйста какие эмуляторы поддерживает приставка от поколения сеги мегадрайв и выше ?
Is $155 a good price for a v2 V3 transparent blue miyoo mini?
WAY WAY WAY too expensive. Just buy from the official store when available. Stock is much more consistent now.
How do you deal with the touch controls for example pokemon platium needs you to touch the screen to move on
L2 to bring up and on-screen stylus. I cover all this stuff in the video!
Does it support retro achievements on the mm plus?
No, drastic doesn't support retro achievements
@@RetroBreezeYT rip.
Thanks for the heads up
How do I change the layouts? I mean, what buttons do I have to press to switch backgounds?
Shoulder buttons
Did everything but games load a black screen and close automatically. Tried multiple drastic versions, have latest onion, tried multiple nds roms.
Okay I figured it out. It was because of ftp copying. I enabled SMB and copied over wifi again and it worked!
Is anyone else having audio problems with the audio being too low?? It’s really quiet even in full volume. I’m using stock Miyoo Mini Plus rn
If you're not on Onion OS, I would expect issues with Drastic. It's designed for Onion OS as far as I'm aware.
No audio at all on my roms
🤔
For me it will not accept the drastic file name, what should I do, am I doing something wrong?
What do you mean drastic file name?
@@RetroBreezeYT for some reason it keeps saying the file is invalid or that the file name is too long
Duckstation next
Just started on it :D
@@RetroBreezeYT I haven't shared it for now 🤔
Is there a link to the actual Github so we don't keep on having to come back here to download a hoped for latest update?
You can find all his download archives here: github.com/steward-fu/archives/releases/tag/miyoo-mini-plus
@@RetroBreezeYT Cool! That page is titled as being for MM Plus so hopefully the files will also work on the MM.
@@sambagogo777 Yes, they will, except for anything WiFi related!
If I get the new miyoo mini v4 does this help with the performance?
Nope!
