I think resigning Sherwood depends on the new regime. Will he be able to fit in a different defensive scheme? For instance Mike Vrabel scheme? No need to pay a guy if he doesn’t fit the scheme. Coaches will bring there own guys who know can run the system they want to run.

The problem with bringing in Justin Fields is that you would be bringing in into a dysfunctional organization with a historically losing record and sub standard coaching. He’s 4-2 this season with a competent coach and organization. The Jets are a train wreck under this ownership. You better get a very mobile quarterback who can consistently run for his life to have any chance of keeping them upright. The franchise is a disgrace and Woody Johnson is too incompetent to lead a professional football club.
