This might be my favourite video yet. Your confidence and personality completely jumps off screen here, and you can really tell you're someone who genuinely loves what they do! Congrats on a very deserved 200k
@Johnny Cash007 bro we can just watch NXT and AEW for pro wrestling and let the kids watch WWE for entertainment.. I realized there's no use in complaining about the fact that wwe sucks
Great video! The interview with audience format has a lot of "tv show" feel, and at the same time, due to the venue and "festival feeling" was really different. More like this, please! ;)
Chris saying "put it out into the universe" leads me to believe that he understands spirituality and metaphysics such that he has a relationship with the universe or the source of existence. I dedicate my life to this, so that one line made me smile. One love, Chris. You're awesome.
@@ChrisVanVliet Thank you brother. You have such a great presence and gusto about you, it's refreshing. Your content has gotten me through the roughest time of my life. Thank you!
For me this was an interview that I did not know much about the wrestler beforehand, and now I want to look up his work. Thanks again, another great interview.
Colt is underrated as a commentator. I love it when it's just Colt & Ian at the desk, nothing against anyone who's doing their 3rd but I really like the combo of Cabana/Ian.
Punk may be the better wrestler, but Colts definitely the better person, good or bad he'll talk over anything and make it relatable, still so underappreciated for what he's done for wrestling
He’s not wrong , the worst wrestling live experience was the one and only WWE show I had. I went to RAW at the 02 in early 2009 and my Dad bought me my brother and him tickets £70 or more each .. and we were up in the high seats on I think it was like middle to top tier. Had to watch the screen the whole night and it was just deflating. A couple of years ago I started going to British indies (Progress , EPW , UBW , Revpro , OTT , Wrestling Resurgence and more) and for a fraction of the price of the WWE tickets , I’m up close with the wrestlers , I get to take pictures with them (like Trent Seven from a Progress show this year in my profile pic) when they’re selling merch and t shirts. The atmosphere is sooo much better than at a small or medium indies then at o2 arena. That being said , when AEW comes to England , I’ll be paying the price that will get me in the first few rows as I think the AEW atmosphere will translate all across the arena they choose. To make another comparison , watching Musicians at the Hammersmith Apollo is a lot more intimate and fun to me personally , then when I’ve watched bands at Wembley. Great insight by Colt and always impeccable questions from Chris. Best interviewer in the game. Thanks for the content Sir. We enjoy and appreciate it.
I agree. I took my son to a Smackdown and Raw House Show just a year or so ago in Liverpool. Save for "RUSEV DAY" chants; and DBRY's "YES" chant, the crowd were stagnant, the card- which, sure - is always "subject to change" - was changed for the worse, but kept the same roster as the original card - putting together tag matches out of various, irrelevant singles matches. The atmosphere is always better at Progress, RevPRO and PCW etc.
BluSpykz I’m happy you agree. Wanted to make sure it wasn’t just me being subconsciously bias or something. But yep , except for a few specific chants the atmosphere at WWE main roster shows never seem to be on the level of the British Indies. I wonder what if anything could drastically change the atmosphere at WWE live shows ?
Thank you for a good interview Chris. Colt is an interesting character always cool to hear his stories. I interviewed Chris a few weeks back on my podcast and he is truly great to talk with 💪🏽.
Holy moly that intro! what happened to the kinda shy interviewer I saw on UA-cam not to long ago? It’s awesome to see you confident like this, wish you all the best for the future !
First, congrats on 200K! Second, this interview & many more inspire me to continue my work to becoming a commentator or interviewer for pro-wrestling. Thank you for inspiring me & many more, & keep up the great work my man! ✊🏼
“2019 is the best year to be a pro wrestling fan” sorry I might be bias here but I disagree with that statement at 25:32 100%. The Monday Night Wars was hands down the greatest time to be a pro wrestling fan, no matter what side you were
I believe what he meant was it's the best time to be a wrestling fan because of accessibility instead of how good the products are. There's so many options now and way more ways to watch instead of how limited it was back then. Your opinion is probably based off the quality of the shows instead of the amount
Havent watched yet but this has made my day, i dont get why theres no talk of cabana to AEW instead of punk. He can produce gold depending on what hes part of.
Don’t really know much about Colt Cabana other than he’s one of the indie scenes best wrestlers ever and that he was best friends with CM Punk, but I can listen to this guy all day!
I’m pretty sure Colt was speaking about Chicago’s Fire Side Bowl when talking about “the punk kids” going to dingy rock clubs... And what he said was 100% true.
boom boom love colt. he was killin it in the indies when making $ in the Indies wasnt easy edit love you guys talk about this. chris you're legit a great well informed journalist
It seems like he wants to be commentator for aew , I guess it will work you can do the comedy part and JR will be all serious. He has enough knowledge to get people over
Cornette recently spoke about the kevin owens thing in ring of honor. Cornette sent owens home for 6 months with pay. For him to lose weight and get in shape and come back for the main event scene. Owens came back. Still didn't lose weight and was pushed anyway and he left for wwe.
My favorite match from 99 till a few years ago was hollywood Hogan vs Randy savage the night after savage won the strap from Kevin Nash the night before at bash at the beach
I know you've done like 7, or 8 interviews with Dolph Ziggler... But, Can u do another 50 IVs with Colt Cabana please!!!!? Amazing IV, Chris, but I feel we just touched the surface!
I don't get people issues with Michael Cole he does love to say " here comes the big Dogg" but he's like the last piece of the attitude era that's active.
I hope down the line that AEW starts their own Hall of Fame only strictly for the legends of the Independent Wrestling scene. Colt should go in as well.

I really didn't want this interview to end! Chris you're killing it and your work ethic is truly inspirational.
Nicely put!
Wow, I really appreciate the kind words. Thanks!
@Gene Bone What's your problem?. Don't like these interviews then don't watch.
@Gene Bone what makes this reply even worse is Colt is the most humble wrestler ever.
Colt is the foundation of making money as an Indie guy. GREAT INTERVIEW! Colt is such a great talker and knows how to give an amazing interview.
Never thought I'd hear the words "Take a bite" & "Get a napkin", being chanted during an interview. 🤣
haha that makes two of us
I was there! Also huge props for CVV staying after the interview taking pictures and shaking hands with everyone who wanted to. Great guy.
Punk conversation at 31:10

@Johnny Cash007 bro we can just watch NXT and AEW for pro wrestling and let the kids watch WWE for entertainment.. I realized there's no use in complaining about the fact that wwe sucks
Aadi Skywalker You’re not special for watching a different wrestling brand that isn’t wwe. Why is the wrestling fandom so moronic and toxic
Johnny Cash007 No both NXT and Wwe is pro wrestling no matter how many times you marks and wwe themselves want to say they aren’t.
