      Yeah, he was kinda peaking. Another thing is he was probably Nadal’s least ideal opponent; someone who opened up the angles and didn’t let him grind it out on the baseline, and he still destroyed him

    • @SJ-di5zu
      @SJ-di5zu 2 роки тому +1

      @@jayzerbeam9733 I wouldn’t go that far lol. I’d say Nadal’s last ideal opponent in 2012 was a big hitter who takes the ball early and is peaking. This guy hit a lot of drop shots, but Nadal is the best drop shot retriever and improvised shot maker when he gets to the drop shot that I’ve ever seen. He was hitting the drop shots really well though, which made it a bit difficult even though Rafa knew they were coming. Nadal just dominated every baseline rally with his forehand and retrieved enough impossible drop shots to break serve.

Lets watch out if these young generation.could achieve that record on clay. Inspite of his age hes still.can adopt to his usual dominance on this area. Hopefully to see him more on court in this time that hes not young anymore after all tennis is different without rafa playing. Stay healthy and keep safe legend.
