Your trike is very nice. My Terra Trike has a little velcro strap as a parking break and a flag not much else but I ride it everyday. I seldom ride on a road. I am lucky we have a nice bike path.
Really like your setup, thanks for sharing. Please research turmeric and ginger to help with your COPD. Both these spices / herbs can be found at your local grocery store and both help reduce inflammation in your lungs and airways.
Les! Your trike and trailer set up is awesome! And I want to congratulate you on recovering from your stroke and riding with COPD. My father had both but unfortunately did not do anything to get himself in better shape. That headlight set up is excellent as is the tail light set up. I have the exact same trailer for my Belgian Malinois in Blue and Grey. My trike is Atomic Orange and I’m going to investigate getting the trailer re-skinned to match. I bought flag mounts from TerraCycle but they are expensive and made a third out of rubber fuel hose I picked out at an auto parts store. Great job and video. I’ll be studying it more to replicate the dog walking stick attachment because I use a Bike Tow Leash with Molly but want a better and easier way to attach it to my trike and to my wife’s. I enjoy your videos. Thank you for making and posting them.
Thank you... I hope anything in there helps you... I think we should all share ideas because some of these bike/trike stores want your first born just for a water bottle..
Les Landry Is the aluminum piece that you attach Annie’s dog walking attachment to attached to your seat back rail with U bolts? Do you happen to know the diameter of the aluminum piece? Did it come with the black plastic end cap? Thank you!
I bought a TerraCycle flag mount for my Trident Trekker. I have it mounted on my seat frame cross tube. It works well, but TerraCycle stuff is costly; $40+ is a lot for a single mount.
Hey Les, Nice setup! I'm out west like you, but in the Denver, Colorado metro area. We're the same age too-I'll be 62 in August. I've had chronic back problems x 20 years and survived APL leukemia in 2015. Looks like you've got a thing for actioncams, lights, and flags. In truth, the more visible you are the better when you're on a recumbent trike. I like the velcro on your flags; makes changing them up easy. I have a blue Trident Trekker folding model with rear suspension. I got it in February, so I'm just learning the ropes. I have added quite a few accessories and done some mods already though. We've got two chihuahuas, and I want to figure out a way to bring them along on some of my rides. Can't afford a trailer, so I may make something to fit on my rear rack (I'll have to use a different storage method to replace my Arkel trunk bag). Anyway, aren't trikes great? I was a prisoner in my home wasting away until I bought mine. Now I can be free out on the roads and trails again. Good luck with your travels! I hope to see more of your videos in the future. I'll be making some myself...
What's with all the 62 year old trike owners? Because I have always rode bicycles I'm not 62, I'm 28 with 34 years experience. LOL I'm very close to getting 35 years experience and still feel 28. I just bought my first Trike. Its definitely more comfortable than a standard bicycle and your view of the world is much better sitting up.. I'm 62 and always rode like I stole it. Ride or Die! :-)
FINALY some one with some sense and who is practicing extending the width of the visable trike with lights and also making the trike look more visible from the rear ! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT ON ROADS SO THAT YOU DO NOT GET SQUASHED OR RUN OVER . BE SEEN !.ALSO EMPLOY THE USE OF A LOUD HORN OR SIMULAR DEVICE , BE HEARD !!!..
I absolutely love what you have done. I am most interested in your light system. What lights are you using? What is the battery pack you are using for your lights? I would greatly appreciate your response. Thank you!
Absolutely brilliant, some fantastic ideas and great applications. I hope you don't mind if I steal a few of your ideas. You have inspired me to make a video of my own trike and it's modifications. Hope when I get it posted, you can check it out.

Les, I've recently and before finding your modifications video acquired a TerraTrike Path. I've really enjoyed riding mine around my neighborhood as therapy for my total knee replacement. The three speed hub in my trike seems fine on level roadways. But I have a hill at the bottom of my driveway that I cannot get up to get to the level part of our roads. Or, at least right now my left leg is not strong enough to muscle my way up the hill. I've been considering either replacing my hub or going with the two speed crank set (this might be the easiest first step though). If I do the two speed crank I would need to change the sprocket on the rear wheel or I'd have too low a low gear and not high enough high gear. I have a few questions for you as most bike shops near me don't build wheels and never heard of NuVinci hubs. I think I'd be game to try my own hand at building the wheel...but. Where did you get your NuVinci 360 hub laced to a wheel? Can you share with us about how much that cost? What are your thoughts on the NuVinci 380? I think with the 380 I'd have all the range I'd ever need and would not need the two speed crankset. Thanks and happy cycling.
I have a 20" rear wheel with a Nuvinci 350 all ready laced with an original Terratike rim I'll sell you. It comes with shifter cables and cable housings. It's the one in the video. I went to an e-bike conversion... You can reach me on Facebook' facebook.com/no.more.no.les
That was wonderful. If it were possible to see it in person, when I get my new trike, I would visit you. You are very innovative. Some questions. What do you use for flag poles? Did Sewline sew all the tubes for your poles? This brake line material for the tubes. What is it made of? Thanks
Yes, Sewline sewn up the Velcro tubes... You can find the brake line from any auto parts store. And this is the link for the flag poles.. www.ebay.ca/itm/Safety-Flag-With-Pole/332775780461?epid=1762944695&hash=item4d7afb706d:g:GvUAAOSwmPxbfX7j
Nice job on the modifications!!! Can you tell me where to find the mounts that you use for your lights and gopro. Been looking but can't seem to find anything like that. Thanks.
@@MrJustLes who said it was a competition? Certainly not me. Adding things isn't "modification". Modification is when you alter something physically from how it was originally built. I wish I could post a photo of my trike in a comment so you can see what I'm talking about.
You have done an awesome job modifying your bike. I enjoyed watching the video. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you...
I am putting on an e-conversion next week...

That is attached to the aluminum bar attached by the u-bolts...
It is 3/4 inch square...

I just got me two handcycles and I love them. One is for hard-core speed and the other one has mountain bike wheels and tires on it.
@@MrJustLes Are you going to do a video on them? I haven't seen anything on handcycles.

I found all of it on eBay...

What is the tail light extender device called? Adds some imaginary width to the trike that drivers should avoid. Thanks.

There are two types of brake line, soft for easy bending and hard. Get the hard brake line.
Les, thanks for the to the flag poles.
Les, how has your progress gone with your stroke recovery? Thumbs up.
Where did you get the front light set up
Great setup! Love the dog too!
I also ride a trike Greenspeed GTO. I made my own flags too.
I ride a trike because bikes are two tired. (get it?)
Thank you...
Last year a bought a handcycle... I find it easier on my COPD.
@wheels turn Hey, That's true! I'm 43 - twenty years ago.
How do you attach the trailer on your bike
The trailer came with an attachment that bolts to the axle.
You can see it @ the 4:28 mark...
How did you extend the pole in front
What kind of peddles are they
I've been trying so long to find a mount like what is on your handlebars. Do you remember what kit you got it from?
I want to see the hitch connecter got the bike
