This game has a steep learning curve but it's still the best RTS available after 9 years!

can i have the key display over the thing it builds? (so W is on the land factory icon)
I just noticed that there are two Z's on that diagram provided and Y is missing. Z should be below A not to the right of T.

Hello, when I press f1 I have no option to reassign the keys and I dont even have as many kinds available - missing hot buildings section? What do I do?

I've got a problem with the entry "Select nearest onscreen lowest tech idle mass extractor".It doesn't seem to work somehow. Does it work for somebody else? This would be a really nice option to have.

Attack move cant be changed afaik, that will always be on Alt, same as function of Shift and Ctrl, that also cant be changed
ah, thank you speed :) your amazing ive been watching alot of your gameplays lately :D thank you, its very helpful, and eggroll has been teaching me a few things too and watching most fo the gameplay from other plays like lu xun etc :) your videos though i say are the best to watch :) continue making them buddy :) and see you soon one day on faf :) im just getting used to the hotkeys, little difficult for me though being left handed with the mouse :( oh well practice makes perfect with a few key assigns :)

If so, on FAF click in top left corner Options - Clear - Game Data (this will delete FAF patch) download it again by hosting any game, then try it if it helped.
If it doesn't help go here C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance, there should be game.prefs file, remove it from the folder. Don't delete it yet, since it contains all your settings, just move it to different folder, desktop for example. Start FA (without FAF) and create new profile. Close the game, and host a game via FAF, try it you can set it now.
If even that didnt help, you'll have to reinstall the game
How do I change building a land fac from L to D in the build mode? Then also chaning build pd to something else.
Maybe watch to video to see how to rebind stuff?
I did but I'm confused on how to change hotkeys in the build mode. I seen how to make the landfac become d but I want to have to press b for the build mode then press d to make landfac(currently L) not just d alone.
This video is not about build mode but integrated mod hotbuild.where you dont need to press B first.
Ah that was my confusion, sorry but I have to ask is their anyway to change build mode hotkeys? I assume no otherwise they wouldn't make this mod.

Emi.B your Game.prefs file might be corrupted, its located here
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance
First try to open it, search for 'toggle_key_bindings' line and if you dont have assigned key for it, do it, the line should look like this:
F1 = 'toggle_key_bindings',
(don't forget that comma at the end, its important)
If this doesnt help, you will have to delete this Game.prefs file and make a new one, by launching FA. And creating profile.

your video doesn't help at all. there is no re-assing button in normal FA. apparently you use some mod that you don't mention. only this community that not everybody may want to join.

i didn't say no one - not everybody. all i wanted is a solution how to change hotkeys, so video name is misleading.
@@eilstrider 5 ys old comment, but the video title contains the word "forever" in it. There's nothing misleading about that since the mod is specified
