You know what would be great? A remastered SupCom Forged Alliance. Modern tech, 64bit, high res textures and models, mod support but still the same game.
I would buy that without hesitation

you know what would be great. If that had already been done on one of the existing supreme commander games engines but it gets ignored.
Yeah supcom 2 has a mod that basically reverts it to FA but everyone fucking ignores it and it is a travesty.
Lord tylers Titans does not even come close to the greatness of SupCom FA

My units won't run into each other constantly that is always a plus. I don't know why everyone blasted supcom 2. I really enjoyed it. Not as good as FA but still a good game.
Dunno why this popped up in my recommended, but it was a great match.
Promote the game. Share Gyle's videos with friends and strangers. This game will die without word of mouth. Your mouth.
My only causes for concern are the lack of relatively good speaking casters casting on a relatively regular schedule and the lack of casted games of all levels (noob, joes, high rankers, and LuXun stomping on people). I've got Gyle, you (TA4Life), ZLO, and LuXun as favorites, but really wasn't able to find much more. And all four of you guys output like a video a day over time. Contrary to my favorite LoL casters put out roughly three videos a day, each.
That's how all those dota games made a rapid expansion. Lots of great casters casting regularly on virtually any kind of game, theme, and playstyle. Not saying LuXun or ZLo don't speak perfectly, just saying we need more casters, from many parts of the world, casting a huge number of games of virtually every style and level.
Gyle should cast a few more games with himself present playing or having already played, in the game. It'd help spread FAF. Popular casters of any game get vastly more subs (and therefore views and support) if they feature themselves often, no matter how much of a noob they are. It helps if they're good at the game, though.
ElementZephyr LoL and Dota and starcraft are so popular because of the huge corporate machines behind them. You cannot compare a game that came out in 2007 and had its hayday before the youtube revolution which also had zero promotion from its makers towards esports with these other modern games.

Those Dota games made a rapid expansion because they are free to play and much easier to get into. More casters will not magically make FAF as popular as LoL because of very obvious reasons.
SgtTeeh No, but it will establish a base for future subscribers and get people talking about the game in their circles. Also,shallow American pigs may not like or adhere to LuXun's and ZLO's foreign accents (understandable for those two, but people as a whole do a lot of judging based on fickle things like voices)
Another issue, but more of a game specific issue, is the extreme lag that can happen when trying to play big games (or even a simple Seton's). It's a lot less of an issue in more "modern" games like PA, as Zaphod imply.
And finally, an issue specific (mostly) to TA4Life. Trends have shown that people prefer short videos over these monster one hour plus videos that detail multiple games in the same video. You'll notice many of the most popular casters on UA-cam tend to considerably shorter videos, roughly 10-20 minutes in length. Chopping down (if possible) videos into separate smaller videos should help KEEP people interested. The game's awesome, but sitting down for an hour or two on the same video isn't. That, and it'd help your Total Video Count, which people judge on whether or not the person is a regular caster, and thus subject to subscribing.

People chop down their videos because they want to get more views and more ads. You can always pause and watch the rest later, youtube even saves the spot for you. Those "modern" games are garbage compared to supcom fa, they are much smaller.
I love watching phantom games. They're always so epic. They're even better when the Innocents don't know who the phantoms are and the game becomes chaotic.

people should start playing supcom faf again :/ this is the best strategic game i have ever played, i just love it so much! so many mods and maps to try out, every game is different from one another, it's simply an epic game that needs to have more players in it.
so please people, promote this game, tell your friends, your family, strangers, dig up dead people from the graves and whisper it in their skulls, whatever you can possibly think of, promote it! It is a game that is plain awesomeness!
It's why we have planetary annihilation now!

hey gyle just giving my opinion, i love the longer length matches. i especially enjoy these phantom matches, they add a new flavor to an already amazing game but i understand that it is extremely time consuming for you.

What I love most about Phantom is the political intrigue element. Imagine if VoR_Tex was the paladin and he tricked macharal into admitting to be the phantom and he killed him unawares.

I had a SMD at the side island around minute 56 because I also made two T3 arties there. They were about to take out his Mavor. Thats why he was focusing fire there.

To check the phantoms gyle look at who has the most storage because phantoms get huge amonts of storage
TY for these casts. I have just found this game. As for the length of the cast its fine. You tell everyone it's going to be over an hr. So it's up to us to decide if we want to watch it. You cast shorter vids also so I think keep the long vids also. Let us decide which 1;s to watch .TY again for all your work.

Damn, this is some seriously large scale warfare.
The end game got draining to watch, props to the players though, for keeping a seemingly great attitude the whole time. GEEE GEEE
The blast radius on a Plan B submarine (and the other two strat subs as well) is the same as the blast radius of a land based nuke. However, they are much weaker, putting out 22000 damage in the inner radius as opposed to 70000 damage. Interestingly, though, a land based nuke's outer ring damage is only 500, while on a strat sub the outer ring does 3000 damage.

Total annihilation used to have weather phenomena that affected the game. I believe on the ice planets there were giant hail storms or something that could damage your base. Just goes to show how ahead of its time that game really was!

You can see who a phantom is by selecting them: the first obvious thing is that they get a shitton of storage.

The Cybran T3 Nuke Sub has a shorter range and a lower inner radius damage, BUT its outer ring radius is the same size as the land based nuke AND does more damage than the Land based nuke. Soooo the Sub Nuke is great at taking out larger areas of units BUT not as good at killing off those Upgraded ACU's

You know what I was always confused about? Adding more engineers to a single factory seems to have diminishing returns. In a sandbox mode, I actually built a bunch of units either from massed factories or ones with spammed engineers and unit-per-unit the massed factories (without engineers) seemed to out-perform factories with numerous ones.
Is there a reason, besides tech level, to just have spammed engineers over spammed factories?

i loved the island maps but no one ever wanted to play them. also sometimes with lag it would take literally 30 minutes for an invasion force to go from one island to another so that was a problem

I always preferred Phantom games that became about paranoia and the phantom pitting everyone against each other. Seriously, that isn't cowardice that is playing smart.

sc2 is too amateur and arcady compared to something like supreme commander
but then again they are two completely different games
thought i remember in wc3 you had maps that were supreme commander maps with all units and stuff even some of the models looked like supreme commander models
so technically sc2 and wc3 are good for making maps but not for ranked boring play
