@@SwitchStars You betcha My backlog especially grows much because I like RPG's which are big time sinkers and procedurally generated survival and rogue-like games which you are never truly over cause there's always something different to try or another run to do
Yea I know what you mean, I want to play the FF7 remake but simply haven't got the time with so many new releases each month. I also have a bit of a backlog of games I need to review lol
Shit man this exactly what I meant! I was just searching the eshop while responding to your Foregone review, see this game and search reviews.... and of coarse your already 12 steps ahead. Really bro the quantity and quality is impressive.
The inventory space was the biggest issue i had in the demo,,,,that and the monkeys , I couldn't get them to do much of anything I wanted them too. But I'm sure I'd learn, but we need more storage asap. Hope the developers fix that . Also seeing some of these islands u showed, they look like a pain , I'd much rather prefer wood type island with just diff resources.
Yea I found the inventory space was an issue, would help if you could craft backpacks, though you can put storage on your raft which I later learned. The islands weren't that bad to be honest, there is a way to stop the bugs but I didn't work it out.
The two are completely different experiences IMO, I really enjoyed the co-op gameplay of The Survivalists, it was quite chilled and casual, Green Hell on the other hand is a hell of a lot more challenging with a deep set of survival mechanics, its just a shame about the performance issues. If I were to pick one, I'd say green hell, I found I got a bigger sense of achievement, even just surviving a day and building a damn rack for my sticks lol, and I want to jump back into Green Hell which I haven't done for a while with the games I've reviewed.
If you have friends who will be playing Survivalists then its great fun. However just be aware Green Hell is pretty hardcore and there's no hand holding, as I said there are also performance issues but I'm really hoping they get them fixed in the near future.
@@SwitchStars Ah thanks for the reply. Well Survival Kids was for the GBC so a generation before the GBA. Think of it like Wind Waker but with multiple endings (with completely arbitrary requirements) and a survival mechanic (that didn't come into play that much considering how easy it was to find food and water) that also involved crafting items. Obviously I assume this would be a lot more advanced, with more possibilities, but Is it in the same vein or more action oriented?
It's a bit of a mixture to be honest, most of the combat comes into play when you go into the tombs, but on the surface you have a few different predators to deal with and raids on your base to defend against.
4 роки тому+1
seen it on sale in physical format so think ill grab this one and add it to the backlog lol
SwitchCorner and me had some great fun exploring and trying to beat the Labyrinth, which we failed at, its definitely worth a play I just hope there are enough players online to group up with.
I didn't like the demo. I got bored n the controls are backwards I wanted to run but kept dropping whatever I was holding for example. It doesn't help that I don't care for minecraft/survival type games in the 1st place and I think they are a waste of time with no real objective. On a side note you should probably review games other than indies or you might probably be stuck at 1k subs forever. Maybe review more 1st party games for a start on switch. Idk up to you.
Yea there are quite a lot of different buttons to get use to, but I didn't find them too bad after a while, I quite enjoy survival games but they do tend to be big time sinks and I don't have the time to play many of them. As for reviewing bigger games, AAA titles are generally impossible to get keys for and I really cant afford to cover them, the switch has a larger number of indies than any other platform, the majority of games on the e-shop are from indie developers and publishers, there are very few first party titles. I don't really concern myself that much with subs, its slowly increasing and I just enjoy creating content, its unlikely that ill ever be anything other than a small time UA-camr and so am quite happy just seeing steady growth, I also work full time so the content I produce is done in my spare time.
Another for my wishlist and eventually my backlog. Great review, Luke!
Stick it on that list Melissa 😄 and thank you, glad you enjoyed it.
I knew this one would be another to add to my backlog
Survival is one of my favourite genre and Team 17 has been releasing alot of good games lately
That backlog just gets bigger and bigger doesn't it lol 😂 If you've been looking for a new survival game then this one might just be for you Daniel.
@@SwitchStars You betcha

Did Team 17 make the overcooked series?
@@rorsm6892 Yea they did Rors.
Was just looking at this game a bit ago, wanted to see any reviews... that's cool that you just put this out.
Tearing down the thicket and weeds to find the hidden flowers (gems).
hehe sounds familiar 😉
Glad you found it useful Howrylo, the game is great fun especially if you have others to play with.

Haha, been on the ball this last week with some interesting titles, thanks Anthony.

Watched both this and your Green Hell review. Which one would you choose and why?

@@SwitchStars Thanks, yeah thats what I was thinking. I'll most likely grab Green Hell. Thanks

I remember Survival Kids on the GBC with fondness. This is like that?
TBH, I couldn't tell you Korv, I mainly played the Castlevania games when I had a GBA

Yea it's worth picking up if you liked the look of it and are a bit of a collector like me 😁
This is a 100% grab , gonna go physical tho. Next time I'm at target or best buy .
Hope you enjoy it Deku, I had a good time playing with SwitchCorner
@@SwitchStars I think it's so awesome u 2 play these games together . U both have became my favorite reviewers.
Yea we always have a blast, glad you enjoy both of our content Deku.
This actually looks pretty enticing. Probably going to wait for a sale.

Play the demo
Yea there is a free demo, I never actually played it so not sure how much content is included.
Can play Co-op offline using 2 or 4 controller?
I believe its 4 players online or offline but I'm pretty sure you require a pair of joycons for each player due to the amount of buttons in game.
@@SwitchStars so i can play up to 4 player offline ?
Looking for some ppl to play with either ps4 or switch 🤔 👀
Good luck with Switch 🙁
@@SwitchStars tell me about it lol
4 is higher than 3. And I think I missed judged this game by allot.
I thought it was going to be average but I really enjoyed playing it, especially alongside another player.
Just picked this up for 13 quid. 👍
Nice, enjoy Kraken, I played with Switch Corner and had a blast.
I downloaded the demo
How did you find it Rors? I didn't play the demo so I don't know how much content you get to see in it.
Great review, doesn't look like a game for me though
Yea I think you have to like the Genre Westley, they are a big time sink and there are so many titles releasing atm.
WAP ITEM
I am not quite sure what you mean?
@@SwitchStars At one point the text "Swap Item" was hidden so it said "wap Item" and that just reminded me of the Cardi B song "WAP"
Ahhh lol I didn't notice that 😂 my taste in music doesn't include that song either so it was completely lost on me lol
