    This is a good guide for any Nissan Skyline R32 gtst/gts4 owners as it's exactly the same tank and pump system

    I gotta reseal my tank and change my pump soon. Thanks for the information. I wanna run a walbro 225 kit exactly that one, new rubber lines to my hard lines, k&n fuel filter and an isr fuel pressure regulator. I feel that would be a good setup and a good way to stop fuel starvation.

    Good idea to run new wire direct from battery to a relay for any after market pump. Stock wire isn't up to >10 amp + loads walbro 255's bosch 040's and bigger draw at high loads.

      @@sieways6 thanks for replying man! Its crazy how you can have soldered joined wires in a gas tank and not have issues eh. I have to do this on my project but just have been worried about the gas conducting between to contacts n causing fires n such.

    okay if I installed this with a stock ka would it help

    • @sieways6
      @sieways6  8 років тому +2

      Yea, if you install this on your stock ka it will be completely fine. Your fuel pressure regulator will return the un-used fuel, the ecu will keep balance on air fuel mixture, an your car will always be ready for upgrades in the future if you decide to turbo or tune it for different fuel maps.

    What were the symptoms of the fuel pump going out? I think I need one

    • @sieways6
      @sieways6  7 років тому +2

      dani martinez Symptoms of a bad fuel pump would be hard starts in the morning. If your car struggles to start even after replacing the cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, etc. then that's one sign. Hesitant during takeoff, an hardly stays at a normal idle. Another simple way to find out is when you turn the key, listen to the pump prime, before you start the car. Every time you turn the key try listening for the fuel pump priming the engine before you turn it completely over to start. It should have a constant humm, an always humm for about 5-7 seconds before it stops. Hope this helps, thanx for watching. Good luck.

      What if it only starts when you put starting fluid for a few seconds then dies, it cranks but it won't turn over:/

    • @sieways6
      @sieways6  7 років тому +2

      dani martinez Clearly if it starts an ran for a few seconds then you have a fuel issue. Check your fuel filter and replace it if you haven't, use an ohms meter an check your injectors if they work it should beep if they make a complete connection, if nothing then they're bad. Unplug one of your fuel lines, prime the car to make sure your getting fuel. If you put in a new fuel pump, double check your work. Also check your fuel pump relay an fuse, see if it's getting power.

    important question guys what size fuse you guys used after installing this stock 10 amp or did you go with a 15amp?

    • @sieways6
      @sieways6  7 років тому +1

      Johan Salazar you can use what is recommended, they have that for safety reasons, an you can up the fuse amp if your upgrading the pump or something. If you put too big of a fuse on your car will not start. 10 - 15 amp should be fine, if you have issues with the fuse popping. You should check your grounds.

    and if you dont soder it?

    • @sieways6
      @sieways6  6 років тому +1

      Erick Benitez Well, if you don’t then you risk a possible bad connection and your pump might go out while you’re driving. So I’d try to get it right the first time, you don’t want to risk it an get yourself stranded somewhere. You can use twist on nuts but I wouldn’t, as long as you use something that is secure. Hope this helps, thanx for watching.
