Edwin and Will have bought the cheapest Porsche 911 in the world, a burned and wrecked 911 996 manual coupe which needs complete restoration. It doesn't start or drive, the paint is ruined, but it cost only £5000. Will it be a smart buy, or is the first purchase a disaster already?

Not gonna lie the more you work on Porsche the more you realize how easy they are to work on. If you want to do anything get an engine table and take the 45min-1 hour to drop the motor!! ITS SOOOOO EASY couple harness connections, ac drain, disconnect, 4 motor mounts, couple trans mounts, TCU connector and like magic lift the car up and motor comes out! Beyond easy! That IMS and oil housing can be done for many more years of comfortable driving!

Great to see Edwin has freed himself from Car Throttle. Should be a fun build. As the fire happened in just the one place then the wiring loom could be repaired by replacing that burnt section. Companies like Vehicle Wiring Products can easily provide the correct colour and tracer wires and then just a case of slicing in the repair. Could be quicker and easier than having to pull the entire loom out and find a secondhand replacement that exactly matches the old loom.
Still, have fun with that as we all know wiring is the most interesting content on UA-cam 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Fab new channel lads. Congrats on buying the CORRECT 996 though. 3.4 has less IMS and Bore Score issues than later 3.6, plus manual, aero kit, & cable throttle = investment potential if you can successfully do an Autoalex and get some stuff for free. Good luck!
Bought a TR8 that had a small interior fire once, found a hole in the block and transmission either an insurance fraud or a shop got rid of some scrap parts

I cannot explain just how happy I am for you guys! 1) more Clio 182, 2) Edwin needs to do some encyclopaedic videos like he used to do on CT FB channel (eg. What’s happened to the McLaren F1s, Alfa 156 bits in the boot etc), 3) get that merch started!!
