I know you have an Epson Echo Tank 4700 and I was wondering which one you like best - the Sawgrass or the Epson? I have seen other comparison videos on each and I thought I would ask your opinion. I am not sure how often I will be using it (daily, weekly, etc) and I understand that the Hipppo ink is cheaper than the sawgrass, Sawgrass has a self-cleaning option (not sure how often you have to clean the Epson) and etc. I value your opinion and if you have a moment to give me your opinion I would greatly appreciate it. I am working on a big comparison video but wanted to use each printer before I release that. A converted Epson EcoTank has several issues that people run into. You need to print regularly or you will run into clogs. And there are often color issues. There is the Epson F170 that is more expensive and solves some of that but you do still need to print regularly. The Sawgrass does solve a ton of issues including the self-maintenance and included software but it is more expensive to start. I know the price of the EcoTank and ink is just too good to pass up for some people and it is not a bad option at all. You just have to go into it knowing there may be issues and headaches.
Hi, I have a sawgrass 500 printer…I can’t seem to get my tumbler wraps the right size without having to trim away parts of them. Every time I change the size in print manager it still doesn’t print the correct size. I don’t know what to do to correct it. I recently had a special png tumbler wrap made, but unfortunately I can’t trim it because of the lettering running down the sides and they have to line up. Is it possible for you to tell me what I’m doing wrong so I can resize the wrap. Thank you in advance! 😊
I found this very helpful. So when I right click on the PM icon at the bottom of the page it only brings up printer settings and not print mate, any idea why or what I need to do to get print manager to open with the right click?

I love watching your video's! I want to purchase a Seagrass 500, my question will this printer be able to take the etc film? I have an Epson 2860 and the printer will not take the sub paper, I have used all hacks that I can find, it keeps running the paper straight thru with no image. Am I doing something wrong? My concern is the saw grass printer taking up the dtc transfer film using the hack will I have the same problems as in the epson. Thank you for your advice. Belynda
Angie, how do i get print manager to keep my design in landscape when i move it over to print manager for tumblers and try to print it so it will fit it flips it back to stright up and down and not sideways like i transfered it over there
I have not used print manager in a while as I switched to their new program. Try playing with the settings and making sure it is not resizing the image.

Well after the ink ran it’s course ok the printer; was shocked to see that I got a low ink alert Went to print manager and ink is just about empty. Tried contacting the company and sent an email about my ink problem and I’m not getting a response. I had only printed a couple pages so it’s not like I’ve printer a ton. I need help for an explanation on why the ink is suddenly low after installation. Please help. I need an explanation
Angie, it's me again, Julie. I got everything figured out to a point. However, I had an image that was wider, not so long. I wanted two copies to stack. I could see there was plenty of room on my tabloid page. However, when I added another copy, Print Manager put it on a separate page. Any suggestions? I tried it in Creative Studio and it wanted to upload only psd files. Mine was png. I will watch your CS video next. Just trying not to waste paper. Thanks, again.

I just installed my sawgrass printer. After the ink cartridges were installed, all of a sudden I get an an alert that the ink is very low. I checked print manager for ink level and it’s very low. Not allowing me to print. I only printed 5 papers. The sawgrass ink is very expensive. I feel this is highway robbery for the newly installed ink to empty out so quick
how do i adjust my black hues? some of my blacks turn out grey. if I'm printimg black, i want it as dark and full as it can get and i have variences with black prints. thanks in advance!
First, make sure you are telling the printer to print a TRUE black. Second, it may look grey on the print but may press black to a 100% white polyester cloth. Third, it could be your time/temperature/pressure of your press that is causing your colors to look off.
Hi Angie, I’ve just watched your video (which was really helpful) and wondered if you could help with a question. I am using canva to create designs but it only downloads pngs in 72dpi. If I change the quality in print manager to 300 will this increase the quality? Thank you in advance 😊
I've had my SG 500 for almost 2 years using PM and still learned quite a few things that I didn't know about, for one how to change the default to polyester instead of metal that always comes up for me lol and never paid attention to the plus and minus.
Im new to this and something is driving me insane!!! I create an image in photoshop in this example a mug design thats 19.5cm X 10cmso I create it and then hit print to send it to print manager, which it does, but when it gets to print manager its the wrong size, the original design size from photoshop is now a much bigger size. I want to keep designing in photoshop as I think its the best way to design and size but for the love of god and my own sanity, can anyone tell me how to fix this issue???
Hi Angie. I have a sawgrass printer purchased about 4 weeks ago and purchased some sublimation content from you. I have an image that is in 4 or 5 different formats and sawgrass will not allow me to import it to print for sublimation help!

You should be able to get Creative Studio as well without issue.

My guess would be in printer manager making sure your size is the same as you want it to be as I show here on the tab where you can alter it.

Right click then I think there is a print manager option you can pick. I haven't used print manager in a while!

A Sawgrass does its own maintenance as long as it is plugged in and on. You don't have to do anything.

It should show up as an option in your printers. Try reinstalling the printer.

I have not used DTF film at all so I do not know.
I have a problem with my sawgrass 1000 printer. It gives me and alert to change tray 1 settings to custom size IJ Plain. I don't see that anywhere
Sounds like your printer settings do not match your computer settings. You should be able to change the printer settings on the printer.

Try that first screen and the check boxes for preserving the layout. One of those may be wrong.

There is a spacing option where you can type in a number and also a checkbox to center on page. Both of those should help.

On my Sawgrass printer the print manager it won’t change the type of paper it shows glitter
Paper type doesn't matter that much but I have never seen glitter as an option!

Is that too large for your printer? If it will not fit on the paper, it will not let you add it.

You can put it in Creative Studio just upload in your gallery not as a design. It must think there is not room for some reason? Maybe the margins?

Sawgrass Print Manager only works with a Sawgrass printer. Are you pressing what you print to 100% white polyester fabric to see the true color?

A green black is generally underpressed. So more time or temperature.

Sounds like you didn't get the printer installed correctly. I would walk through those steps again.

When you buy a sawgrass printer you get access to their software.
I design my items in my silhouette studio when I import to this program is changes the size- I have wasted so much paper/ ink
The checkbox that says "preserve layout" should fix that.

You would need to download at 300 dpi. I think I have that option but I pay for Canva.

Maximum is 8 1/2 x 14 with that printer.

Yes. You would send from Cricut to this Print Manager.

Click print in Cricut Design Space and choose print manager from the printer drop down.
