4:43, I always use a socket with a magnetic insert and roughly 8-inch extension to remove the oil drain plug. The position of an oil filter on my 2006 Corolla is the same as it is on your car. Before removing the oil filter I always loosen the filter but I don't remove it completely. I punch two holes on the bottom of the oil filter with a nail or similar sharp object and I let the oil drain out first, as much as possible, before removing the oil filter.
yea I remember the first time I saw the "Punch a hole" method, I thought they damaged the car. but nope its a good method for those sideways mounted oil filters
@@EverythingAvron The key is to loosen the filter first, don't want to find out you can't get it off only to have a hole in it. Had this on my Veloster, I had to get a die grinder and cut the filter off slowly.
Thanks a bunch for the tips on oil change. If you ever have a video on “How to change Fuel Injectors on you 2014 Accent” that would be awesome. If you happen to find any videos of somebody changing out the fuel injectors are 2014 accent please send them my way. Happy holidays. Merry Christmas.
Hey man great video, really appreciate how to the point this is. When you jacked up rear of the car where did you place the jack stands? I’m having a hard time seeing where the strong point is? Thank you!
I have used the 5W-20 Full synthetic year around, Winter and Summer. I haven't strayed away from full synthetic in all my vehicles ever! personal preference I guess
Bro I’m in phx and would love to bring you my accent if your down to help me with the Various things I need done! How can I make that happen? Thanks for your time
I always place my jack stand next to the car where it is supposed to go on the pinch weld... then I lift with my jack right behind that point then slide the stand in place.
@@EverythingAvron ok, I'll give that a try. I also noticed some people lift with the jack from the rear pinch weld and place the jack stands at the front pinch weld but I'm not sure how that might work on a 2017 hyundai accent. I'll try the method you mentioned first.
I’ve been begging all of the guys in my family to teach me how to change my oil so thanks.
Glad to help any time!
I have this exact car, im glad I found someone who works on it so i can follow 🔥🔥
This is an excellent video. You speak simple instructions and use clear camera angles. Great work, man. Take my like and sub.
Good video, organized and to the point. I have a 13 accent, never changed the oil myself on this one. Glad to learn about the crush washers….
This guy is thorough, good stuff
much appreciated!

Good video but I would highly suggest using a OEM filter for these cars. They have known oil pressure issues if using an aftermarket filter
Thanks for the info
Changed my life!! Thanks
I just got this car!
heck yea! im a firm believer of these Hyundai accents, small but not cramped, excellent MPG, and super easy to maintain and customize!

Great video! Where did you get the washer for the drain plug?
I found that washer on eBay. I just searched up "Hyundai Accent Drain plug washer" and a bunch popped up
What size did you get for the drain plug?
Perfect video! You're good!
Oh thanks
This is the exact car that I have.. where did you purchase the new washer from?
I purchased a bag of new washers from eBay. just pulled up the part number from Hyundai and then typed it in eBay.
@@EverythingAvron cool thanks man!

Great video!

I believe these are like 8 inches tall
The accent doesn’t have a mass flow sensor

What's the oil for the Hyundai Accent 2014, 1.4 L ?
By oil do you mean the Oil weight? if so its 5W-20
How would you lift this with a floor jack? I only have a floor jack and jack stands.
