- In the early 1990s, Amtrak brought two European high speed trains directly to the people...to see if they still liked riding trains.

There is nothing glamorous about flying .
@@wardfrancesphd2142 Thank God people like you are in the minority or we would still be using horse and charts.
I been on both of theses when they came to States. I was a kid at a time but remembering how awesome they where
The X2000 is even better now.
HSR don't make rail seam noises.
They are welded together.
allgoo19 its the game's fault
That is the default sound over any track
but custom and silent track sounds exist
They do in the USA...
@@allgoo1990 Agreed. Also, to be fair, that is why we invented airplanes...
Awesome video! Also, at 1:15 I've seen Amtrak 517 in real life lol
Wow. Amazing work Brian. Although I was hoping for new SJT episode. Oh well. Thanks for this video anyways!
2716 Productions BE PATIENT!!! GIVE HIM TIME!!
I have been on a X2000 from Gothenburg to Stockholm
Woooooooooooooow
I live in sweden. They are amazing im gonna say that.
@Craig F. Thompson Wow, it’s not like that is what the ENTIRE video was about.
the x2000 was always my favorite. Would have been my pick for the high-speed line. If not having a whole fleet, then pull a toaster and have someone like Bombardier base a design off it.
As a swedish boi i can say they are super comfy and you do not even notice curves.
Having a version of the Bombardier Zefiro 380 would be boss.
fantastic commentary san Juan branch line trainz series
where did you get the ICE AMTRAK
So, any word on why Acela was based on TGV technology, after first testing X2000 and ICE? Also, it seems like the X2000 was the best suited for the ancient tracks in the USA - always curious why that set was not selected for Acela...
I was just about to say, That's an ICE 2 in the thumbnail :')
Uhm.... Nooooo......
Nah
ICE1
I Love The Amtrak Acela Express Train
Why? It is a ripoff of my swedish X2000
Is this made in transport fever or Skylines?
amtrak is gonna make avelia liberty
If Amtrak develops a train to Florida at 300 mph than I won’t take the plane anymore
Would you be willing to do a video about the California High Speed Raul that they are currently building?
Amazing work😃
I think the TGV record is 370mph. Check out my cool HSR in the USA video here: ua-cam.com/video/Stf4pBkua9s/v-deo.html
I want more San Juan trains where they talk with train Tech please
For those who don't know. See that PRR T1. There is going to be a new one coming. It's being built by the T1 Trust. And it's going to be number 5550.
Where did you get the California Zephyr cars and the Nebraska Zephyr?
Could it be you know more details about the 'baggage car' at 4.54? I would assume that rather than luggage, it contains technical installations, in order to make it possible to steer an electric train from the cockpit on a non-electrified line, pushed by a diesel locomotive. At least, this was the X2000 arrangement. On the ICE1, things seemed to look different.
No ! Record of TGV : 574.8 in 2007
LoRenZo Guyot yeah in km/h
Jan Z in mph is =357 (not exactly)
Hey trains
Me and. My dad and baby brother used to watch you
I noticed a few goofs: The Phase V Amtrak Dash 8 is numbered 502 despite being owned by CDTX and the Superliner crew car is facing the wrong way
just wow !
I wonder, where did you get the Amtrak ICE livery?
the x2000 is still one of the best looking trainsets in the world
The Acela is based on the TGV design, and the new Acela coming in 2022 will be the next generation TGV train. I have ridden both trains (TGV in France, and ICE in Germany). While the TGV is better suited with its tilt technology for the non-straight American tracks, the ICE is definitely the faster train although to the paying customer, the interior of the two trains in their respective countries is similar.
When the X200 And ice passed each other, this is what they would have said:
X200:GOTTA GO FAST
ICE: GOTTA GO FAST
railfanner and lazarbeam fan I think I can I think I can!
X200?
ICE also: *blasts Ghost divison*
Acela: gotta go faster
Avela: gotta go fastest
where is that interior @4:17
high speed rail can be built on the interstates- we own them so the freight boys cannot interfere. let's go with this :)
Three issues in that though are making sure there is enough sound pollution protection for people living in the surrounding area, making sure the lines can be connected to rail station hubs (current or planned), and that building the tracks can work without causing traffic congestion and/or issues with property rights. There is also the question of money as well.
Too bad after 3 years still square one.
Very nice graphics work. No video available? Seems to favor large bi-coastal locales a bit too much at South's and Midwest's expense.
0:14 0:28 And 0:42 Where did you get those sets Of trains? And 1:10 where did you get that route?
Those locomotives are awesome amtrak should have kept them
Does anyone have any information on which number the trains currently wear?
First. Awesome video you guys.
Off course there was a Princeton Junction shot I mean it gets so many trains in a day.
Cool!
1:12 watch at 0.25x speed and you get United Airlines.
Obsessed with Trains How do I find you everywhere I go?
Seeing the video on how China set up their high speed rail system we also need to build it like a bridge above the ground. What an awesome way they were building their speedrail. Our train rails could not produce the same high speed results I don't believe and have also been around a long time as well.
Didn't know this game still existed!
Idiot
When is the next San Juan trainz episode coming
Where did he get the T1 Duplex from?
But now we have the Acela Express
Very informative. The ICE was the Swedish one with tilts, right? XD
The ICE was the German train, the tilting Swedish train was the X2000
@@c.h.s9022 they are great
Where did you get the map and the P42?
The Acela Express doesn't zoom between New York and Washington D.C. because if it did, the journey would be less than 2 hours. But that won't happen because Amtrak doesn't have the money to upgrade their track
Vegan life Rocks actually they do
its jxy So then why does it take nearly 3hrs to complete a simple journey
How did you make the X2000 tilt mine does not
Those models look very low poly. Or maybe i'm just spoiled with Train Sim World, that game is the pinnacle of train simulators.
They shouldve returned the Amtrak ICE-2 :/
Wait. Didnt they?
Did you build the routes used in these videos?
We will never have real high speed rail until we have designated rights of way to eliminate many of the road crossings. If you have ridden Amtrak, the engineer is constantly signaling warnings to impending traffic at gate crossings as you travel across the US. This is not to mention the dependence upon track owners such as BNSF, Union Pacific, Norfolk Southern...etc.This has got to change.
How did you get the X2000 to tilt
He used the power of köttbullar and fika.
It's not ice it's E-C-E
Wrong
I C E
X2000 is Swedens train
Yes. He said that.
America doesn’t want high speed trains
Speed is for European countries
SJ 2000 not Amtrak!!! 😡
Om du är svensk: chilla lite de skulle köpa några tåg och då skulle de heta amtrack 2000 men det blev aldrig av.
If you aren't swedish: they were maybe gonna buy some sj x2000's (actually their class was x2) and rename the ones they bought amtrack 2000
