Fortunately, I was entered into the world of Lovecraft by Dagon. I remember being desperate to read The Call of Cthulhu and counting the missing pages in my anthology of stories to find out how long I needed to get to read it. WOW, when I read The Color Out of Space, I fell in love with the stories from him completely. I remember being in bed reading under the covers and with my flashlight on so that my parents wouldn't discover me awake so late. That story blew my mind and I think it's one of Lovecraft's best. I couldn't stop reading until I got to the endpoint. The next day I had such big dark circles that Tim Burton would have cast me in one of his movies, but you know what? It was worth it. Have you seen the homonymous movie with Nicholas Cage? It's not as good as the story but it is entertaining. These types of stories are quite complicated to take to the movies but well... Have you ever read The Shadow Over Innsmouth? Thanks for this review, I've enjoyed it so much.
Thanks so much! I haven't seen the movie with Cage, but I know it exists and it's on my list. I haven't read Shadow Over Innsmouth - is that a Lovecraft tale? Also, is Dagon an author?
@@jeffreyscottreadsalot8854 No, thanks to you for this wonderful video. The Shadow Over Innsmouth and Dagon are tales by Lovecraft and they're nice. Dagon is one of Lovecraft's creatures, but #NoSpoilers for now. I think you gonna like them. LOL Sorry, I expressed myself badly. I meant that the first story I read by Lovecraft was Dagon. I'm a disaster with legs. 🤣 Thanks for your patience.
Great video
Thank you!
