Body dysmorphia sucks....I suffer from it too. You pick at every little imperfection. It's as bad as having an eating disorder. Every little beauty mark, hyperpigmentation, extra lb even if you're a normal B.M.I....You will look for ways to be happy in your own skin.
I do as well but I would never ever have surgery to make my cheekbones SMALLER, high cheekbones are considered a universally attractive feature in almost every part of the world. It's been proven over and over again that high cheekbones are something almost everyone finds attractive, as well as thick/defined eyebrows, lips that have a larger lower lip and smaller upper lip, and big round doe eyes.

lmao if someone is unhappy with their appearance and have the money to change it, then why not? it's not inherently unhealthy to get cosmetic procedures done. It's okay to change yourself to suit what you like. Loving yourself can come in many forms, not just only appreciating your natural self, it can also be to do something for yourself by changing yourself. This close-minded idea of self love really isn't it lol. Of course, if someone becomes addicted to plastic surgery and puts their life at risk, that's never okay and it isn't an act of self love but people who get 1 or 2 things done aren't like that.

Why is koreaboo a thing? I’m Korean and just learned about it today while going through some of the comments here. I don’t understand why you’d get mad at someone for enjoying another country’s culture like their make up for instance. BTS is becoming such a global sensation and they’re bringing lots of attention to Korea and I find it flattering that foreigners are coming here and enjoying our culture.
And the plastic surgery thing was her choice, it’s not yours to make. I’m insecure about some of my facial features too and that’s making me feel less confident and I’m thinking about getting a few touch ups myself in the future. And don’t do that thing where you go “learn to just love yourself for who you are”. Insecurity doesn’t just go away like that, at least for me it doesn’t.
Sometimes you gotta learn to look at things from another person’s perspective. Don’t be stuck in your own world where everything you think is the right answer for everyone else.

Some are convinced that they are Korean or can become Korean and that koreans are the superior race. Some think that because they are foriegn and western looking that they will be worshipped in Korea because they look like the korean ideal beauty standard.
They are constantly striving to be more Korean or be amongst more Korean people. That's the reason that kboos are not tolerated much.
I personally dont see this girl as much of a Koreaboo, but people see getting Korean style surgeries and having an idol's name tattooed on you in hanguel as a big Koreaboo red flag.

It's never wrong to get a plastic surgery. That's a human concept. But when she said she "hated" her nose, I assumed that she's not mentally in her happy self. Maybe for a short time, she may feel satisfied, but over time I do question. Being pretty outside may not always change how you are inside. Writing from observations.
