Why I sold my Chanel GST / Wear and Tear 2016

I have finally come to the conclusion that the GST is not the right bag for me. As beautiful as it is and as much as I love the idea of it, I am just not using it enough. All of my reasons are very much personal preference and I hope that this might help you decide if the bag is for you or not. Don't let this put you off by any means, the things that don't work for me, might be completely irrelevant for you. This bag is a classic and loved by many!

Strap drop is fine for me. The straps sit in the dip between the trap and shoulder muscles, but if I’m wearing several layers like a T-shirt and cardigan straps slip so then I cross them.
I agree the straps are too short. But idc to carry on my shoulder. I love totes. I wish it had feet on the bottom too. I seen newer ones with feet though. But mine doesn’t have them😢

A lot of people absolutely love it (which is why I bought it) but the I have since learned a bit more about my own personal preferences. If you are someone who likes carrying their bag on their arm, or of you are not as tall as me, and you like structured bags, then this might be the bag for you :)

Absolutely disagree on wear and tear......I have 2 GST in black and beige. I use the black one often and 0 sagging.
The cream beige one has been used 2 times. Both bags still have blue plastic cover the gold hard wares.

Aw! I'm so sorry the bag didn't work out for you! I have the same bag in beige caviar leather with gold hardware. The straps on it are very slippery. Do you have any thoughts on a tote bag you want to replace it with? The Louis Vuitton Neverfull is a great tote. I recently did an unboxing of it on my channel. It works as a great baby bag and Mommy bag!
Yeah I am really sad too, I really wanted to love this bag. I have my eye on the new Chanel Timeless Tote which seems to have all the features I missed with the GST - ie longer straps, no compartments, feet, thinner straps. They are quite a bit more expensive though! I just bought a preloved LV Lumineuse though and so far I am loving it. Review coming soon, watch this space :) I have considered the Neverful and been going back and forth on it for years but truth be told I am not a big fan of canvas. If they did one in Empreinte that would be great. I might have a look at one in Epi at some point. Will check out your review :)
I agree empreinte leather looks amazing! I find that the canvas on a Neverfull is perfect...at least for my lifestyle anyway. I find it more carefree which I like when I have my baby with me. I will be looking for your new review!
