This video is EXACTLY how our Hassle Free Car Buying Coaches get you the best car deal on either new or used cars. Sounds like too much work? Let us do it for you! thehomeworkguy.com/hasslefreecarbuyingservice/
Used your strategy to buy my first new Lexus es 350 yesterday! Secured five quotes and played the top two against each other during the "December to remember" event. Secured mfr financing at 2.5% and 4% under msrp. Not professional concierge results but not beaten to death, either. The difference between lowest and highest dealer was $7K for the same car!
A big key is not to be afraid to be adversarial. You guys give great advice about walking away, but don't just walk away, walk away letting them know they haven't met your expectations. You'll get less than a mile away and you'll be on the phone with a sales manager pleading for your business. Tell them no and ask for even more.
Hello guys have been using all the information and tips you guys give on your videos. I tell the salesman I watch Kevin Hunter the homework guy. They tell me good for you by he doesn't work at this dealer.
I've always been told to get an independent mechanic inspection. Difficult to do for far out-of-town dealers. I wish you offered these services in Canada. Here, one guy owns many dealerships in the same major city. Much less competition.
Thank you for these videos. I have been watching you guys for 3 years. Just last week I was able to help a family member buy a car. I negotiated $1,200 off their proposed OTD price. I have no idea how well I did, but I still felt proud. No other dealer within 100 miles would even touch this deal. My next car buying experience I would like coaching. Is that the texting option?
Thank you for all your advice! I am shopping for a 2025 Buick Enclave Avenir. One dealer came back with $1,000 discount that is from GM , $720.50 “Government Fee” and Dealer Fee of $1,200 (Florida). I have multiple offers that have not Government Fees and thousands less than MSRP. Definitely spend some time shopping other dealers.
Any opinion or videos on brokers that charge and do all the dealings for you and just bring the car/paperwork to your home. I heard they do all the haggling for you.
but theres a limited number of models you can quote compare. Im looking for a specific Telluride and only one dealer has it on the lot at any given time. A little frustrating actually.
I have been talking to multiple dealerships trying to get a good deal on a leftover 24 Jeep Rubicon 392. These Jeeps have been sitting on their lots for over 5 months, and most of the dealerships still don't want to give any discounts.
I got a written OTD price for a Nissan Versa base model manual transmission, 5 or more sitting on the lot. $19,985 and he WOULDN'T budge. At all. I walked away.
I am close to a deal with a Subaru dealer but I can’t seem to get a signed document from them is an unsigned purchase agreement. It has the VIN number, generic description of the vehicle, and the price we agreed to plus document fees, taxes and title fees. The vehicle is an incoming vehicle so not on the lot for another three weeks. I am not in a hurry and willing to walk if it doesn’t turn out as we discussed but I am concerned that I can’t get a signed price. Thoughts??
how do you find the email address of the sales manager of a dealership for a targeted email and request for a quote. in other words if I want to expand my search 150 miles from my residency. I only want to send one email and BCC OR blank courtesy copy to All sale managers? what is the easiest way to find them all and do this. I would prefer to send one mass email as opposed to 50 emails to all of them.
How do you know if it’s worth it to put a down payment for a car you’re trying to get? I have money saved but I’d rather but it towards my loan balance rather than all towards a down payment.
Let's assume this is a serious question. Putting money down is the SAME as putting money towards your loan balance. If you put $7,000 down on a $25,000 deal, your loan balance would be $18,000. If you put just $1,000 down and financed $24,000, and then later added an additional $6,000 payment toward your loan balance, your loan balance would be $18,000. either way you'd have a loan balance of $18,000... did you get that?
Just to clarify, it is true that you pay California tax, but then when you go to register the vehicle you only pay the difference of the tax if there is any. For example if I buy the vehicle in California and the rate is 8.5% and in Nevada it is 8.25%. you will actually get a refund from the dealership for overpayment of the tax in California. If it is above the rate of 8.5 then you only pay the difference. I have purchased 2 cars in California and both times at 2 different dealerships I was issued a refund.
Can't you still, just walk into to the dealer, without doing all this crazy research, tell them what payment you can afford, and have them pick out the right car, suggest any added dealer options, and best financing for you? Aren't they their to help the customer get a great deal?! They are always so friendly when I walk in the showroom and tell them how I want them to work hard, FOR ME, by doing all the stupid things I have no interest in doing!

One of our car coaches was just recently working on a Jeep Rubicon deal on behalf of one of our fans.. He got an excellent discount!
Can you still go this route even with a employee discount? If so, do you do it after you negotiate a price like you would with cash?

@idahosixgun5601 nissan vehicles are reliable. Whats killed thier reputation had been the jatco cvt transmissions.
Are there black book values on used cars, too?
Only on Used Cars
How do you get invoice prices for cars nowadays

That won't be possible because the inquiry you send to each will be very different.

@@KevinHunter yes I understand. I only ask the difference because doesn’t a car salesman get a percentage of the down payment?
@@J_ChronicNo
@@J_Chronic Not at all.
Just saves you interest the more you put down

Thanks for clarifying, that's a good point!
Very helpful information that help me to fight all BS from the dealers. Thank you very much! Happy holidays to both of you 🎉
Thank you folks…but you’re missing something. Dealers don’t provide these until you come in.
I have purchased close to 100 vehicles in my life. Trust me when I say this, I have no emotional connection to any vehicle.
Then you perfectly understand the power of the written quote tool!
