It’s obvious from this first episode why this series failed. The writing isn’t nearly as good as on the variety show. I was really pretty uncomfortable seeing Carol trying to swim upstream here. A curiosity item but nothing worth spending time with 35 years later.

Yes, Meagan Fay who played Kathy Bowman on Roseanne for 4 episodes. On the Conners in 2019, she played Austin's (Mark's boyfriend) grandmother.
