Downtown Newark is going through a lot of developments. You will find everything here, from apartments, stores, main streets and also 4 universities in University Heights section. I’ve always found Newark to be a beautiful city despite it’s bad reputation. Downtown Newark has always had potential so it’s good to see growth & development.
Me too, I found it beautiful and different, the people, the vibe, that's why I moved to Newark and has been my home for the last 11 years
I really enjoyed your tour
NWK now is basically a heavily deindustrialized disenfranchised crime infested gotham city where the majority of its finances comes from federal funding by the U.S government for becoming a "sanctuary city" bringing in hundreds/thousands so-called migrants and asylum seekers from india, central/south america & elsewhere...which is why you'll see nearly every business in nwk being foreignly owned or managed and why they finally decided to redo or upgrade all the njtransit light rails, trains & train stations some years back after decades of needing extensive repairs.
Newark is full of clowns like you I live in a million dollar house
It has a long way to go, pockets of Newark are ok but in my opinion its one of the worst cities and very corrupt from the local government to the police department. I worked at Hotel in Newark on Broad St and even though the Hotel was nice, the area was bad. Also the Hotel had 24 hour security and you need a room key or employee master key to enter all doors including going up to your room in the elevator. Forget it if you need help from Newark PD they will almost never respond and your pretty much taking your life into your own hands if major issue comes up. So to anybody thinking of working in Newark unless your a Prudential, Mars Wrigley or Deloitte employee which requires you to travel there for work, that is fine because your there for a brief period but other than that please think strongly before making any decision to work or live in Newark NJ.
The more Jersey City fills up even more new developments will come to Newark
Great to see all of the redevelopment occurring in downtown Newark. Beautiful city.
Newark is looking good. In the next 10 years it’s going to look amazing 💪🏾. I’ve seen the plans. Newark is going to be so vibrant
I agree Newark will be amazing in a few years.
They started building the Halo skyscrapers. Newark is going to be a big hoboken.
It's going to look amazing blah blah blah 😂😂Newark now is a sanctuary city that largely economically caters to central//south american foreign immigrants both legal & illegal (undocumented). A lot of ppl left newark & NJ altogether in record numbers in the past few decades. A large exodus of long-time "natural" U.S residents that relocated else where due to a number of issues but mainly because of outrageous property taxes a continuous sky high crime rate unemployment rate cost of living, etc., So in order to combat that problem what the government basically did was rounded up 1/2 of the central//south american population in poor rural areas and herded them like wild cattle mostly into the north eastern tri-state area. A plan to keep the state as densely populated as possible. WHY?? because you can't generate any $capital$ without people and since the U.S government is still not willing to give blk ppl their own businesses especially after the 1965 riots, they give it to the central&south american immigrants all courtesy of the U.S government and your tax dollars..the same way they gave it to the italians jews poles irish back in the early 1900's when they all had no choice but to immigrate here during WW1 and 2. Only now today hardly anybody in newark speaks english. Even 1/2 the businesses you go to you don't know what store it is because all the signs are written in foreign languages. Broad & market today looks absolutely terrible but when you go on the opposite side of the tracks into east & north wards you'll see ALL portuguese and spanish owned businesses again all courtesy of the U.S government and your tax dollars.
My grandmother worked at Lerners in downtown Newark! Used to go there a lot as a kid. Lots of old high end stores were there. I took the train to Florida from the Penn Station. Glad to see it coming back to life! Thanks for a great tour!
It's looking good in Newark. Nice tour. Thanks

Thankyou for highlighting Newark in a positive way. My hometown West Side School ho Rough Riders 😊
That’s right Newark is changing, I say give it 10 more years atleast for all the current developments to get finished and up and running and downtown will feel and look completely different. But there still some work to be done on Market street and the area surrounding prudential center and teachers village
Excellent information from Newark , I live here 2 years

Nice video and nice too!!What camera did you use to record it?
Shaq towers is filled now. Another tower is up on Washington Street now it's almost finished it's taller than Shaq towers. Another building is built by St. Micheal's and that new building is lit now as well. Also the gateway center buildings are now open
I need to head back to Newark to see the update changes
Awesome video man! Newark is developing nicely.
Indeed it is.
I was born here but left with my family at a certain age. I haven't been here in years and would love to visit someday. Thank you for this.😏
Downtown Newark is BARREN now I went last year and almost wanted to cry. SOOO many shops are boarded up now, the shops that are left don't play music anymore and the streets are now dead
@@CONTRACTOR_SG3 Oh wow, that's a little sad.
Great Vid! Great quality too. Were you using a gymbal?
Was just using my GoPro and tripod
Lovely place. I found out about this place from GTA 4.
Yep, "city of Alderney😂"
Maybe we can adopt alderney as one of newark's nicknames.
Lovely? My God you don’t have a clue what lovely is.
Got it
Im a native californian and its giving a little some Los Angeles and parts of California vibe
Thats cool, never been to Cali.
Yea cause it's a democratic lol
I would like to see what to do in New Jersey for Christmas videos I see a lot about New York but I don't see the ones for New Jersey
Yea New York kinda overshadow Jersey and take it’s shine but we getting there
Newark has the winter village experience with the ice rink around Prudential Center. Think it's about two years now they've been doing it. I haven't gone but I've heard good things.
If you scramble the four letters in Newark N,K,W and R you get the ratchet and clank planet
Visto
You going live Manny or will it be pre-recorded?
Happy Sunday brother 🙏
Hello maker it's recorded with b rolls and narration, thank you, happy Sunday for you too
Whitney Houston is back home were it all started
The Little Theatre at 562 Broad Street in Newark, NJ closed down on June 25, 2018. I have been searching for another adult cinema. Do you know where in NJ I might be able to find another cinema like the Little Theatre?
Its so funny you say you "wished the NBA team would have stayed in Newark." Agreed! Hockey is cool but Prudential center needs an NBA team. It would generate so much more money. Oh well.
Yeah I agree, the hockey team could be in another town in Jersey, NBA suit Newark better, since basketball is a big sport there, and it has a high school thats is potential in Basketball ( St. Benedicts), Tristan Thompson studied there, also Shaquille O'Neal is from Newark.
Lol ain't no NBA team coming to Newark lol the Devil's are actually pretty good and I remember when I was younger and the Devil's first came to the presidential center Downtown Newark started booming. Also the devil's are the NEW JERSEY devils its our team. If the NBA come what team we getting the Knicks ? 😂 Im not a big hockey guy but I feel like the devils are a better team in hokey then the Knicks are in basketball
@CONTRACTOR_SG3 Simply bring the Brooklyn Nets back to JERSEY where they came from. Put them in Prudential Ctr too.
@manny explores it's called hasley st like hall not hell no disrespect just to let you know been a Newarker for 54 years good job though.
Thank you, no offense at all, I appreciate you correcting the way on pronouncing Hasley st, your a real Newarker.
I heard Newark has huge problems with water. You can't drink water even after you filter it a few times because it contains a huge amount of chemicals. Same goes to bathing. Simply taking shower is dangerous too. How do you deal with that?
Newark resolved its water problem. The problem was never the Newark water supply. That was typical anti-nuke mainstream media propaganda. The problem was that many older homes used lead pipes to tap to the water supply. The city replaced all that pipes in record time beating all expectations.
Move outta Jersey
😅😂😅@@therandomwizard188
Small overpopulated town
Newark was great until the 67 riots came I miss the old stores Woolworth McCrory lot less value plus old two guys old Thom Mc Cann shoes florshiens etc
I hate this city. I’ve seen bad things here. Never going back
It’s a jungle to the point of no return. CREEPY!
